THOSE STUNTS! Those real rodeo participants and Wayne's ridin' skills! Remarkable!
Yakima cannut was his stunt I think
John Wayne. The Early Swagger Years.
only257 LOL, You’re fine...Don’t forget Otis had two.👍
@@sandydee8003 🤣
Before the back surgery that gave him a permanent hitch/limp.
ArchEnema 67 Thanks for the info Arch. I had no idea his swag was due to back surgery. Now I kind of feel like I probably shouldn’t have made that comment. 🤭
@@sandydee8003 It was kinda his signature thing, his funny gait, so I'm sure he wouldn't have minded.
I'm 51 years old. Last week I found out about all these older westerns. These movies are great! I used to watch a lot of John Wayne movies with my grandfather and my Uncle Bill growing up. I had never seen John Wayne so young in my life until I started watching these movies last week whoever is responsible for posting these up on youtube. A big thank you
A rodeo murder mystery starring The Duke? I'm in!
The Beverly Hills of westerns 🤣
It's pronounced RO-DAY-OH. : )
Thanx for sharing this piece of history.

"... I've been looking for a feller who could shoot and RIDE LIKE YOU..."
John Wayne: "I guess you didn't see me fall off my horse back there."
See you soon. Gonna a fun western!
Thank you CCC!
Nice movie!❤
Poor horse had a to listen to Dukes singing.
But it wasn't Marion singing. It was dubbed
The rodeo was filmed at the Lake s Angeles County fair grounds aquestrian center and n Pomona, Ca..
Good Movie for an Oldie
I love the post depression era movies. To establish character motivation, all they had to do was take out their wallet and show it was empty.
This is not POST depression. 1934 was smack dab in the middle of it.
one fact john Wayne could not sing and he was dubbed with another person sing for him, but it still a great movie
Gracias por compartir

Everybody comes running out of the saloon saying, "what's going on Marshall, what's all the shootin'..."
The brave one inside was probably going, "wait a minute don't rush out until the shooting stops... Okay now!"
I'm just sayin'.)
I have been searching for ten years for that trumpet song at 9:45, no one seems to know who or where it came from, it's the beginning song for a few of these spaghetti westerns as well
@grimdeathwhrules 👏👏👏
Why do you guys add in extra music, that isn't even as good as the original and doesn't fit.
Who sang for Duke?
Gives the high sign. . Like Spanky
I’ll try to make this, CCC. Last night was fun while I was there. :)
Last night was a freakin' blast =)

Love the movie, but that music is downright silly.
9:38...
Interesting that they dubbed in some more modern music, what had to be years after the original production. I suppose the original audio had become degraded over time.
I'm wondering if the old guy was really going to haul all that would he chopped in the canoe through the rapids far from his house were there were probably plenty of trees he could have used for firewood.
Yeah, this is the third of these 1930s John Wayne flicks that have added the modern music. After watching 10 of them before with original music, it is really odd to hear this newer sound.
Yes ser ye Bob.
Dont miss wayne jumping on a horse at 14:36..
it's an impossible jump..
Obviously not IMpossible. You saw him do it, though it most likely was not Wayne himself.
I like the show but whats with the cheesy dubbed-in music
Yak Kumult was the only real wrangler on the show. Dag gummit.
canutt
Shame they added music in recent years to try make the movies feel different. Totally ruins the vintage charm.
All hat no cattle
Nice work take him in if man died you revoke he Spanish how the dudtey sheriff the end
do you even know how to write in english?
Great opening scene. Young John riding a horse while butchering a $3 Montgomery Ward guitar and lip syncing (badly) to a voice that sounds nothing like him.
He wasn't lip synching. The singing was dubbed in. Very different.
That makes it even worse.@@Hal-k8p
@@humphreygruntwhistle3946 Your expectations are probably too high.
Ma dove in italiano c'è scritto così ma non c'è

What is up with that awful music that was added after the fact!
