Project Zomboid is an open-world isometric survival horror video game in development by British and Canadian independent developer The Indie Stone. The game is set in a post-apocalyptic, zombie-infested world where the player is challenged to survive for as long as possible before inevitably dying.
'Til Death Us Do Part was a story included in Project Zomboid as its own game mode. It served as the tutorial to introduce new players to the basic concepts of Project Zomboid, like base fortification, scavenging, and fending off hostile undead and survivors.
In 2013, 'Til Death Us Do Part was removed from the game, along with NPC survivors, with the release of version RC 2.9, due to NPCs being far too buggy. The Indie Stone did not abandon the story and have stated they still have big plans for NPCs and the story of Bob and Kate.
Oh the irony, imagine being killed and eaten by cannibals in a zombie apocalypse
Eaten buy a human sucks reather die by zombie and come back to life later
What's worse is that if they don't have the knowledge, the resources or the will to preserve your meat, they could "use" you limb by limb.
Jokes on them they’re gonna get multiple brain diseases.
Additionally, depending on how the virus works, one infected survivor arriving and they could have a bit of an issue on their hands.
I guess cannibals wanna play as zombies

“Sanctuary for all.
Community for all.
Those who arrive survive.
Terminus.”
TAINTED MEEEAAAAT
robot chicken terminus song was good

What's that
@@DwAboutItManFr a thing from the Walking Dead. A bunch of our protagonists just lost their home and are wandering through the woods in disparate groups, and many of them find signs that say "Sanctuary for All. Community for all. Those who arrive survive. Terminus." leading to a community at the end of the train tracks. When they arrive there, they even see a lady broadcasting this same message on the radio over and over. It's revealed, however, that Terminus is run by cannibals, and the signs are for inviting and trapping their next meals.
I hope in the future you can play this story. If you go there before Day 8 you must fight the horde with other survivors. If you go there after Day 8 you will fight with Cannibals by shooting each other.
PvE combat in singleplayer with NPCs would be pretty good. A lot of people talk about NPC's and the potential to make the world feel more alive and less empty, but not a lot of people talk about the potential of let's say, having to fight over resources against hostile survivors. It's a pretty neat idea imo
Message says is in Nashville, close to an airport.
Map would need to be pretty massive considering we play in KY.
@@HernanM019 Indie Stone said they will expand the map, especially in Build 42, i'm not gonna be surprised if they want to create all KY state!
@@yureimura It's actually in their plan to include most of the KY state, but it will take time.
Then again time and time again they have delivered, with a lot of dedication, so it's guaranteed that it will come, we just need to be patient
@@vicentegutierrez5496 Yeah It will. Honestly they can put it on even in 10 years. Loving and supporting the game since 2011, they never disappointed
weirded out with 'fresh blood' and 'no guns'. Fresh blood seems to imply they are recruiting for raiders, but no guns sounds like these likely hostiles are going to do things to the survivors that go there. When you reveal the file name... it reminds me of the bunker on metro exodus.
Was about to comment the same thing. I hope we could get a group of survivors like this at fort knox when that gets added
I'd be suspicious as soon as they mentioned not to bring any guns. Like . . . come on, it's the fucking apocalypse, anyone who's regularly going outside without a gun that hasn't already become zombie chow is most likely either stupidly lucky or good enough at stealth tactics to put Solid Snake to shame.
And yes, I know most Zomboid vets can take on a reasonably-sized swarm with melee if they've got the stamina to burn, but even then if you have a gun available you're probably going to have it on you for those moments where it's either open fire and _maybe_ die to the horde you just tipped off or hold your fire and die for sure because you can't blast a big enough wedge out of the current problem fast enough to squeeze through and stop yourself from getting cornered and dragged down.
The bunker on metro exodus?
@@asurveillancecamera3392 yes... remember when the protagonist heard an automated message that seems to imply the real government people still alive on a military bunker? Yamantau Bunker is the location name, maybe you can find video here to jolt some memories.

Whenever NPCs come out I hope they add some sort of groups or settlements you can go too (ex. raiders that would attack you, peaceful traders, etc). It'd be awesome if there was a cannibal type faction that would hide in the woods maybe in some sort of fort. I would love to see factions or settlements.
if there are not, make yours
Or form your own cannibal group
What I want with NPCs are real broadcasts, by that i mean that they make some (if not all) broadcasts happen in a fisical location of the game (for instance this one). From there you can:
-Get radio equipment and make simple messages for recruiting people (can call survivors and bandits)
-Interact with the host at the fisical location. They maybe keep their promises or maybe dont.
-If the entire base dies they radio stops working and if the base is claimed by other group, then it changes hosts saying "they are gone now" or something of that sort.
-If they are attacked by humans (or player) they can say they were attacked (maybe host died so change host?) And describe the attacker (bandits should wear distinguishable but not very obvious gear so they can be discovered by the description, but not be the same every time, like leather jackets, red baseball caps, etc). If the player attack, they describe him and other NPCs might be more aggresive because they heard the radio
Already planned
And they should also make some of them die out from zombies raiders ect.
I really wish there was a mod that made all radio and tv stations loop indefinitely. When i play i have zero time to listen to these sorts of broadcasts before day 8 because of life and living and trying to survive.

the 2 broadcast reminded me of Walking dead, Terminus one was a sanctuary that broadcasted telling people where to come, then they got overrun and someone new came and starting broadcasting. In the show those new people were infact cannibals. Wonder if its a reference
i would think it might be
Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe it was the same people. The difference was that at the beginning it was legit for helping people. Then bad people came and took over. After a while the original people retook control but the things they had to suffer pushed them over the edge and turned them into cannibals.
That's how I remember it, at least.

That would be cool, but in this specific case the broadcast is fron Nashville, which isn't exactly close (Although it's not super far) to the games current locale. I doubt we'll get to go that far, but that doesn't mean that there's still chances that "NPCs" could broadcast on radios to lure people in from within the Knox Zone. Maybe some people hold up in Ft. That happened right as I read the comment
damn i didn't put that together, i was just like ayo they got overrun :(
There was a similar concept in Dying Light too , in the old Town you could hear a radio message broadcasted through speakers that said there were children and women inside a certain building and that they wanted to trade items for fresh water and food but as soon as you get inside you get trapped by a psychopath that kills people just for fun.
Not gonna lie, even as I expected the new group to definitely be evil, just the cold audio cut to “Kanibals” made me jump a bit X”D I don’t even have this game yet
Honestly I hope this game gets a story mode for solo games just cause imagine being safe I louseville then getting overrun
I love the fact that the first guy seems genuine, "If you kill that horde in our gate you will be doing us a favor", "Hell, If you came in a Airplane we will trust you immediately" you can tell they are not doing great but still manage themselves well enough to welcome new people, the other one however since to imply, judging by the fact they happen the following day of the "overrun" that they were raid and eaten by a freaking large group of cannibals, that they were fewer people in the base than it sounded like or that the Cannibals used the zombies as a distraction,
When people don't want you having the option to defend yourself it's already a bad situation remember that
Story Mode would be sweet, like an actual reason to go to all these places instead of bunkering down forever.
Is no one going to mention theres people resorting to cannibalism after a week in Project Zomboid?
When y'know... The electricity is still on. The waters still pumping and theres food everywhere.
The video: Is grim, has a terrifying message amongst the survivors.
Komp: Speaks in calm voice and plays elevator music.
Thanks, tho. Learning something new lately.
@Doc K Then it went *even darker.*
... hey, I really appreciate that you did something with the radio broadcast. I actually have been telling a lot of PZ streamers to start sharing the stories on the t.v. and radio. Keep sharing them and thank you!.
I personally find the game pretty terrifying, all the time I played I never came across any npc survivor (a friend told me there are) i never came across humans, just hearing the radio, how all the people you hear go dying day by day and eventually leaving you all alone... scary
Your friend lied to you. NPCs have not been implemented yet. Or rather, re-implemented.
There once were NPCs, so you're friend may have been telling the truth. Either way, you're right. The atmosphere is perfectly terrifying. The zombies are slow but unrelenting, and they wear you down after a while. You don't see people so the radio is a source of comfort (until it's gone), and listening to other people as the world dies is something else. And then the feeling of loneliness is awesome after that. You end up killing so many zombies that you're just alone in the middle of an empty city. The vibes in this game are nuts.
I didn't need to decipher and analyze the hidden meanings and messages of Zach's speech. When he said "no guns", that's all I needed to hear to know that there's no way their encampment isn't a trap.
They sounded friendly and inviting at first, but as soon as they said "no guns" I figured it was kinda sus. I assume the base got overrun and the new guys are raiders looking to prey on people just looking for a home.
From what I have seen, we will be getting more of these radio frequencies in the future.
If you have read "Workd War Z" you know that Americans refer to the zombie threat has "Zack". When I first heard "I'm Zack" I immediately thought of that detail and assumed it could be like a hidden Easter egg, like zombies sending you letters in PvZ but this time through radio.
The creators seems invested into the zombie genre, i wouldn't be surprised if I was right.
Great novel 11/10
Wait you can get letters from the zombies?
@@carljoosepraave2102 Only in PvZ, it's a different game. You know, that small little known game about plants that shoot the zombies on your lawn.
Man there is so much STORY that can be added to this game. If this world becomes "alive" with a smart npc ai that is living out their own survival stories and goals it would make this beyond immersive.
Man I'd just _love_ the opportunity to come across NPCs & storylines/quest in Zomboid, that just sounds way too interesting to me
Ok Nashville is about 200k form louiusville so I could see the map being expanded to that area in the far future
The game is supposed to start right after the zombies appear, it's mentioned in many of the different transmissions how the apocalypse is slowly realized over the days. That contradicts this one which is presented as already well into the apocalypse with a group of survivors being settled but surrounded by the horde and another group of cannibals have formed AND taken down these survivors after finding out their location from that transmission, all in the span of just a few days.
My guess is that they had this playing after a month into the game or something like that and nobody was hearing it since all players stop listening to tv and radio after the live broadcasts end after the first week... So they moved it to the start of the game so someone could find it.
0:10 That’s the exact same voice the EAS uses, and it’s ironically fitting, lol

reminds me of the sewers from fallout new vegas Dust mod . they were once safe haven for people who wanted to hide away from the toxic cloud covering new vegas . but when the food run out they had to flee , then the sewers were taken over by cannibals who still use the old broadcast to lure survivors in with promise of food and shelter while in reality they destroyed all but 1 exit
I've given humanity too much credit on several occasions in the past 8 years, but I think it's pretty safe to assume that people don't resort to cannibalism after about a week. On Day 8, your average fridge milk might still be drinkable.

I actually wish that PZ would allow modders to create stories in the game. This small video and these 2 broadcasts actually gave me some terror...and I liked it. I want more terror...which also means I wish the devs would allow modders to implement more ominous music in the game
It's reminded me of the story about "Terminus" from The Walking Dead, which they decided to be cannibalism after they got raided by bandits and done took back the base
"We are at the airpoirt. The last group here is dead. We need fresh blood. Come find us, and don't bring your guns."

Truth be told, you don't need file names to be able to tell that this is a suicidal broadcast to follow.
I like how the music cuts out.
I feel like a lot of people have the idea that Hal was one of the cannibals. He was just a guy who was a little too trusting. Nothing points to him being a bad dude.
Well, except the weirdly phrased radio message.
@@DGneoseeker1 Hal's message doesn't seem to be too weird to me. He might not be 100% altruistic, as his last line implies that in reality they just look for a pilot to get them the hell of there, but is open to the idea of atleast sheltering other survivors. "You can trust us, but we won't trust you", is also something safe to say from his position and perspective. He knows himself and the others around him and deems them trustworthy and perhaps they are, but he and the others in his base have no idea who arrives. Could be just a desperate survivor, but could also be some raider. Better to be safe then sorry. Though in the end it seemingly didn't help him either way unless he was somehow able to escape in the chaos that must have happened in the base - either by them actually getting overrun or as perhaps implied attacked by the cannibals.
Zack's message however is the one I find weirdly phrased. At first he just copies the lines of Hal, making it look like that just someone else from the base is taking over the broadcast as Hal might be unavailable for whatever reason... But it's when the message changes that it turns weird. Overrun? Ok perhaps their fence breached or whatever... But the words "Fresh Blood"? Seems odd. Might be because I'm not a native English speaker, but for me these words would only make sense if they were to recruit them in a military way or something - which is odd when they look for people specially without guns. It makes fresh blood seem more like a freudian slip or an intentionally used phrasing to let people believe they're some sort of military or mercenaries group.
I always love when devs hide things like that in file names and code knowing people are gonna go through it someday
You just hate it when every Apocalypse, there's just a community suddenly appears and turned into cannibals.

As soon as the second guy said we need fresh blood... I felt like going in the opposite direction
Both messages are sketchy. I wouldn’t have been surprised if the first group just killed anyone that managed to get into the base and looted them for valuables.
Instantly got 'Terminus' vibes with the "fresh blood" phrasing...
I find it odd that on day 8 of the game (which if I'm not mistaken is only day 11 of the outbreak itself) there is already a group of people consorting to eating others. It would make a little more sense if it started a lil later on in the timeline, plus would give more lore and content past the first month.
Has the map even expanded by that time?
Anyone saying "we need fresh blood" shouldnt be trusted
I think fresh blood means that they need new people, they were more but die by the deads, so new blood will help to rebuild the camp
That or they ran out of other people to eat and got into argument of who amongst them will be on the menu
It’s weird because the next phrase he told was he also needs survivals. The “fresh blood” look like he (and maybe entire crews) turned into cannibalism and killed each other.
Everything about this feels like 28 Days Later, with the British military base…
Lol some walking dead shit there
Thanks for making this video! I love seeing more about PZ lore, but I don't really want to spend the time waiting for the right info in the game
Story: 💀💀💀😱
Music: 🎵👌😆🎶
I don't know if it's because I'm super freaking tired, but something about that second message and channel posters monotone voice is just eerie.
We need to be able to interact with these events if and when NPCs arrive, as your character, your survivor, if you heard a call of apparant safe haven would you not immediately start hauling ass to get there? The radio needs to serve a greater purpose and be a valuable tool to know the on-goings of survivor communities, and if they need help or no longer exist instead of just words that make your character calm down.
I would love it if the game had all sorts of story options. As an example, radio broadcasts like this with various groups of survivors calling for people to join, calling for help, warning people away. You can choose to go to any of the locations and what you find changes how the game ends. Or the chopper event. If you get a radio warning that the chopper will be coming in at x day, you can go clear out a landing area, build some sort of signal, and then evac for a quick game over. Either of you getting away, or of you (and maybe the chopper) being dragged down by the zombies called in by the noise before they could lift back up. Or ignore all of that and survive solo and thats the long term sandbox game where you grind skills to survive and build up your own base.
This is the real life Great Reset message, if ever i've seen one.
"Cannibals" just a sec later funky music 🎶 reminds me of that radio meme that announced someones death and kept playing music lol
It's awesome hearing ur city in a video game. It would be awesome if they made a nashville map now😭😭
"We have guns"
*Tells survivors not to bring guns*
>Yeah, okay champ.
What gets me is how similar the second message is to the first- to me, it says Zack and his group heard the original message and responded....
I like how when he cannibals the happy music just stops
Those guys who took over are like fuck it been 8 days since the start and food everywhere but Matt there be looking Hella yummy
Ngl i read this as air guitar base and was real confused for a solid minute
imagine being able to broadcast to npcs to come to you or you need a safe zone or something like that, that would be so cool
