I've been getting into PZ recently and man this game is super unforgiving but I love the lore and theories that I've heard so far. I wish there were less zombies imo because it seems like there is always like 10 at least around every corner, or at least the game needs a better/more tutorials for learning game mechanics like what items are good for keeping yourself alive for new players or farming and other skill tutorials. Also zombies seem to have weird vision/hearing distance.
Yeah, in sandbox you can adjust the amount of zombies, though you'd need to create a new world. As for the tutorial, after putting in a bunch of hours, I like it as it is to be honest. It really just goes "You're in the zombie apocalypse. You're on your own. Try to survive as long as you can. Good luck." It's hard, confusing and hectic at first, but slowly figuring things out is very rewarding, as is later on looking things up to piece together what you want/need. Just like your character, you have no one and nothing to hold your hand through the apocalypse nor a teacher to teach you what you need to survive in it. You explore, you discover, you learn, all on your own, and for the things you don't pick up intuitively, you find what you need to teach yourself and do so (we have the internet, the character has books and TV). I personally wouldn't have it any other way.
the whole vibe of the game from the start is that you're fucked (every time you start playing it lets you know this is how you die) so I kind of like that they don't really have that many tutorials

i dont own or watch ppl that play but im interested in the game. several of your videos show radio transmissions from specific locations, can you goto these places and do they change in appearance depending on which message has been sent over the radio?
To me these radio broadcasts are depressing, as the days go by and you struggle to survive. All around you, more and more people start to succumb to the infection or to the horde until you are alone.
You made this video in a style of confusion, but I shall do my best to clear it up! The Jonas transmission does NOT start at Day 0. That's just the 'label' for it. The Jonas Transmission, according to the Wiki, starts at the END of the Jackie Transmissions. The Jackie Transmissions ENDED right about when Louiseville got infected. What was it? The 2 week marker or whatever? Hence the whole Jackie reference. "She's at peace now." AKA he put her zombie down. Which is kind of a conundrum, because another Kompy video shows, Jackie as a wandering Zombie, along with Frank Hemingway. Personally, I never found these 2x. I killed a lot of yellow suited zombies, but none seemed to be Jackie. And identifying the Frank Zombie? Looks near impossible. Anywho.
I love how the dude is talking about over 7 billion dollars being spent over the new year and the text is some random ass shit. Is this what the algorithim wants now?
i just find it odd that by default zombie respawn exists past a game mechanic and to a lore stand point if you completely clear an area burn the bodies section the area off then leave how do more zombies appear when you comeback ages later like even if you left the bodies destroyed but not burned how do they regenerate and comeback again sure maybe if roaming hordes but the section off isnt destroyed they appear inside but why would they roam how would they get to some places but even still the section off boundary isnt destroyed they appear inside not the outside also technically there be a limit to how many possible zombies even if one person cant realistically defeat them all but since the entire area is quarantined so no new people can appear it reach an end but it doesnt they do increase and its up to years later if you go the harder difficulty with them still being there plus how in the stories it tells of zombies appearing over night no warning no approach in cleared out area to swarm and destroy them (so zombie respawn is in the storyline not just a mechanic) it isnt possible if something strange isnt going on though obviously it is but what and why does it keep going after it should have already ended realistically zombies cant happen and if they did it be a short period of time before the body decay and become non existent or they burst from what the ate but cant digest (why do they feel the need to eat) but that doesnt happen so it obviously caused by something
@@john98765333 i know that But that is irrelevant by default it isnt Therefore the game isnt intended to be played with it off outside of custom mode ie non canon Is what im meaning so it ties into the lore with the stories for some reason new zombies appear even if circumstances make it impossible
@@khheroxcn Doubt it. Hey I just noticed, you know how there is a background noise for radio and tv shows. It always sounds the same you know like gibberish but when I opened youtube subtitles for this video the youtube actually understands and shows the radio background sound on subtitles. It talks about hosting of second annual globe initiative forum in new york or something but it gets looped. I don't know if every channel is the same but all of them sound same. The gibberish also talks about poverty, money, disease and someone named Mr.Clinton.
I notices that radio mutters is not unintelligible, I used Captions and it also says something that is somehow connected to President Clinton or something.
This is so cool. I hope one day I save enough money to buy a gaming PC and add this game. But why was there the hooded guy in the thumbnail lol. Is it a reference to the game? It just seems incredibly out of place with context that this is a zombie game. Not some ominous hooded guy breaking into peoples homes. It is scary tho I'll agree on that
Haven’t played the game at all but I think they should have made the radio broadcaster have more emotion when saying these things, otherwise it just sounds like a monotone unphased person talking
dude u keep making videos to what the radios are saying but its fake captions your just making stories up next to the radio ive played hundreds of hours and i can confirm u sir are a capstar
Would be amazing if they did a single player campaign RPG of sorts. Even if it wasn't their jam, I'm sure other indie developers would be happy to partner with them on it and use their assets, similiar to what Bethesda did with Obsidian for Fallout New Vegas.
Isn't this guy.. Kinda.. Breaking through the plot? I think talking about Jackie is referring to the last day when she left a looped message and turned, and all those messages coming sound like he came from the future or is giving insides, unless I'm lost in the simplicity of the plot. Heh.
I don't get these videos lmao do they actually cause a panic status to the character if you listen to the whole message or what?? what's the meaning of these titles
yes, they add the panic moodle. you're just not seeing it because the uploader didn't go through the trouble of actually listening to the broadcast, he just put the subtitles over the broadcasting noise and called it a day

You should make a pz server, either way still love the vids man!
"They look so.. so dead. I think there's no other word for it"
Oh, come on. We both know there is.
I love how the whole PZ lore came from the secret laboratory near Rosewood. And the fact that it was from a dog..
I bet this house is in the game. That is how detailed and cool the devs are.
Oh man this is scary and sad, jonas was preparing to help the survivors and he probably die before to it
i dont own or watch ppl that play but im interested in the game. several of your videos show radio transmissions from specific locations, can you goto these places and do they change in appearance depending on which message has been sent over the radio?
all the radio messages are the same in every location afaik
@@taveymavey6748 are they messages coming from locations that are actually in the game and you can visit the npcs making them?
@@scp2539 no. Its just broadcasts. there is no npcs in the game except from zombies, the only survivors are the players
@@scp2539 You're alone and isolated in single player, no npcs, no other people, only zombies. But in multiplayer there's other people out there.
"causes your character to panic"
the character:🗿
To me these radio broadcasts are depressing, as the days go by and you struggle to survive. All around you, more and more people start to succumb to the infection or to the horde until you are alone.
So Jonas didn’t even make it through day 1 with all that confidence?
the broadcasts happened over the span of many days. And he wasn't confident he was just trying to help other people out through the radio he had.
@@2ndbrain909 but it says day 1 at the bottom
@@SuperJibulus It's wrong. Jackie, the reporter Jonas mentions, dies around day 7 of the game IIRC.
Now turn on the captions
My character:Panics"
Also me: terrfied*
Project Zomboid is a very sad and depressing game i dread to this irl zombie apocalypse would be ever more depressing
Ngl, "they're inside" would make me panic too
i still believe that Jonas is alive.
i like projectzomboid i never played it cuz im poor but i love people playing it- ill buy it someday if i grow up
They should add option for helicopter event to have chance of falling out of the sky or at least giving small supply drop
Theres a mod for that, adds jets, heli crash, supply drops, choppers with guns that will kill on sight. Expanded helicopter events i belive.
This is a nice piece of lore, but it needs to be put after Day 7, when Jackie dies and Louisville is overrun.
Looks
near impossible.
Anywho.
I love how the dude is talking about over 7 billion dollars being spent over the new year and the text is some random ass shit. Is this what the algorithim wants now?
What is the channel you can hear these on?
MY NAME IS JONAS, I'M CARRYING THE WHEEL
Okay.. cool, "Now turn on captions and maximize your volume"
i just find it odd that by default zombie respawn exists past a game mechanic and to a lore stand point
if you completely clear an area burn the bodies section the area off then leave
how do more zombies appear when you comeback ages later
like even if you left the bodies destroyed but not burned
how do they regenerate and comeback again
sure maybe if roaming hordes but the section off isnt destroyed they appear inside
but why would they roam how would they get to some places
but even still the section off boundary isnt destroyed they appear inside not the outside
also technically there be a limit to how many possible zombies even if one person cant realistically defeat them all
but since the entire area is quarantined so no new people can appear it reach an end but it doesnt they do increase
and its up to years later if you go the harder difficulty with them still being there
plus how in the stories it tells of zombies appearing over night no warning no approach in cleared out area to swarm and destroy them
(so zombie respawn is in the storyline not just a mechanic)
it isnt possible if something strange isnt going on though obviously it is but what and why does it keep going after it should have already ended
realistically zombies cant happen and if they did it be a short period of time before the body decay and become non existent or they burst from what the ate but cant digest (why do they feel the need to eat) but that doesnt happen so it obviously caused by something
You can set zombie respawn to 0
@@john98765333 i know that
But that is irrelevant
by default it isnt
Therefore the game isnt intended to be played with it off outside of custom mode ie non canon
Is what im meaning so it ties into the lore with the stories for some reason new zombies appear even if circumstances make it impossible
@@khheroxcn Doubt it. More probable case is a gameplay mechanic for intended balance of threat from the undead - they'll continue to spawn without end so you never reach a point where there are no zombies remaining and the map has been reclaimed and conquered, putting an end to the drive behind survival.
@@mr.tiddlewiddles7689 Imo they should keep respawn but have zombies spawn on the border of the map and move inwards so it feels more natural, like they’re migrating in from outside
Oh shit they are onto my space station 13 character
Clinton Vandleer will not be taken alive
Just turn on the subtitles! Pretty interesting
“…more than seven billion dollars were spent to tackle the worst issues in developing countries…”
Noooooo! Poor Jonas
***More than 7000000$ were...***
i really struggled to read that when i can understand every other world of the muffled audio over the top of it
I notices that radio mutters is not unintelligible, I used Captions and it also says something that is somehow connected to President Clinton or something.
It is scary tho I'll agree on that
Jonas fallout 3 reference.!?!??! 🤯🤯🤯
so people can be immune. cool
All survivors are immune to the airborne variant, just not to bites.
Veteran: What is panic?
Haven’t played the game at all but I think they should have made the radio broadcaster have more emotion when saying these things, otherwise it just sounds like a monotone unphased person talking
They're inside😏😌
Where is the panic 😱
Well damn. Jonas didn't last long.
does anyone else see how weird the subtitles are?
Is Proj. Zomboid gonna steal my concepts of my npcs in my bro's game?
(weezer voice) My name is Jonas
my survivor:😱
me:😒
Does anyone know if Komp streams?
which radio station to hear this broadcast?
dude u keep making videos to what the radios are saying but its fake captions your just making stories up next to the radio ive played hundreds of hours and i can confirm u sir are a capstar
Wait, are there remained civilization outside of the know? or irsu has spreaden everywhere?
It spread all over the planet
Would be amazing if they did a single player campaign RPG of sorts. Even if it wasn't their jam, I'm sure other indie developers would be happy to partner with them on it and use their assets, similiar to what Bethesda did with Obsidian for Fallout New Vegas.
ITS ME!
any here have the Page With all the messages of the game??
Isn't this guy.. Kinda.. Breaking through the plot? I think talking about Jackie is referring to the last day when she left a looped message and turned, and all those messages coming sound like he came from the future or is giving insides, unless I'm lost in the simplicity of the plot. Heh.
If I recall, this message is actually played much later than day 1/2.
@@chandranapier2259 Ah-huh. Alright.
He forced the messages to play in sequence and so it’s faster for content
We should’ve saved him we should’ve godanm saved him!
Soo... where is the panicing character?
Wheres the panic moodle?
I ligit can't wait for npcs, stories will have the largest upgrade and in my opinion will be even bigger than the game itself
wheres the panic?
HOLY SHIT, MY NAME IS JONAS?????????? WEEZER?????
its clearly not saying what the subtitles say
yes, obviously. there is no spoken dialogue in this game, it's all in subtitles
Why is all the voices the same and doesn't match the word?
👾
What language is that?
I don't get these videos lmao do they actually cause a panic status to the character if you listen to the whole message or what?? what's the meaning of these titles
yes, they add the panic moodle. you're just not seeing it because the uploader didn't go through the trouble of actually listening to the broadcast, he just put the subtitles over the broadcasting noise and called it a day
If project zomboid was a good game: *the broadcast that infects your character*
Jonas is a lithuanian name, shit.
Plays veteran
