Jinyoung has talked a lot about studying English over the past two years, and his English has really improved, even since last year, so I wanted to make a video showcasing the results of his hard work, because I'm really proud of him. So here's a compilation of many moments in 2018 and 2019 of Jinyoung speaking English.
I usually only plan to do a birthday video for my 3 ult biases (and sometimes not even all of them, I didn't end up making one for Jae this year)-- trying to do a birthday video for each individual member of all my ult groups would be a lot 😅

IKR! It's interesting because his vocabulary and fluency has really improved over the past couple of years but I feel like his accent/pronunciation have always been really good even when he wasn't as fluent. Maybe it's Mark/Jackson's influence? idk
Jinyoung is just amazing. He tries his best in singing, dancing, acting, English, everything. He made great songs, he participated in some choreographies, his acting is so good netizen didn't mock him (at least I saw none), and his English is good considering he learnt it in adulthood. He's also the best member in Japanese. 😍 Truly the epitome of hardworking 👍🏻 PS: When they went to Indonesia he sing a song in Indonesia and his accent was real good. Unfortunately I wasn't an ahgase yet at the time 😣😭
Grace Natalia - totally agree with you . Jinyoung sang a Mandarin song with perfect accent when they went to Macau 1 year too, he is really hardworking and talented artist

Okay let me say this because I've noticed it throughout the years. Jinyoung is a perfectionist in everything he does and it shows. He clearly has a knack for languages and I can tell not just because of his perfect English accent (that was noticeable even back in Dream High), but even with other languages, even though it's a tiny bit. He tries so hard! We love you baby 😘
i think that because its not usual for us to listen to jinyoung speak english, i didn't realize how much he improved in the past years; his pronunciation got way way better just as his vocabulary has expanded. so proud of him

Jinyoung is very good with languages, when he speaks Thai , i can say that he hardly has the accent . He just study English not that long ago and can communicate beautifully . He is very very smart !!
Many idols in korea not fluent and for bad reason didnt understand english, but GOT7’s korean member still studying it because of us. We need to communicate well and jinyoungie knows it. It is so heartwarming. Every idol who learn to fluent in english always captivating for me. They study for us, even they are busy because of the schedule. I feel so special because we are the reason why he studied hard. Guys, we are so lucky to have them all.

A true all rounder and perfectionist. He's good in singing, dancing, writing, composing, choreographer, acting, mc-ing, sports, and now in language too. I have slept on got7 for a criminally long time. But this guy is quickly turning into one of my favorite idols. He seems like such a genuine and nice guy.
Jinyoung is really smart and not awkward at all. He doesnt show his nervousness and he is sincere with everything he says. Having 3 members members who speak english in group definitely helped him practice, he expresses his emotions very well. Jinyoung works really hard, he is an inspiration to me.

I believe Jinyoung is one of the most articulate idols that speak so well and tries to always get his point across in any language. He’s definitely a perfectionist & dedicates a lot of time to learning English and is intelligent so he’s able to properly retain it. It’s inspiring, and I would learn Korean for him in a heartbeat. Also, I think his natural speaking voice helps him articulate the words in perfect English & that’s why his pronunciation sounds so well alongside practicing it. Jinyoung is perfection💯🗣
Jinyoungs improvement in english is over the top. Seriously, he started learning the language from scratch yet he became this awesome. You may not be able to see this but...Jinyoungahhh....We appreciate your effort to be able to communicate with us. I LOVE YOU!!! WE LOVE YOU!!!
I think every Jinyoung stans who follows him has developed a quality to try hard for anything you do. He has made me a better person than I was before. I hope he finds only happiness and get loves from everybody around him.
When I first started stanning GOT7 in 2016, the guys would always rely so heavily on Jackson, Mark and BamBam in English interviews. I didn't pay a lot of attention to them outside of their music for a couple years but I started watching more of their content again this year and was SO surprised at Jinyoung. It's crazy how much he's improved in such a short amount of time, from speaking no English at all to sounding almost fluent in 3 years is amazing. I'm proud of my bias. 💚

Its really weird (not in a bad way) to listen to him in English because I ALWAYS listen the Korean Speaking Jinyoung. I am so surprised when I watched his interview on glamour and he spoke in English. Although it's broken and he might've difficulties articulating sentences or lack of verbs, his pronounciation is good and he can express his thoughts well. I'd say if he always practice English, he can be fluent in no time!! Much respect for you, Jinyoung. Like seriously I dont know who are my fave in Got7. They are goddamn gorgeous and full of charm

Every time I watch an interview for either of them my heart just melts. They are so sweet and kind and just beautiful. They represent well what celebrities should be. Humble, grateful and kind to those who support them. They are so gracious. The more I learn about Asian culture that’s the one thing that I admire their beautiful gracious nature. Such beautiful people. And I must say the men are gorgeous. My my my.
Jinyoung is smart. He knows globalisation has not only reached kpop but kdrama as well. His kpop days are limited (apologies to Got7 fans); but his acting career has a lot of upside. Fluency in English will increase the roles he’ll be offered (multi lingual roles such as Eugene Choi in “Mr Sunshine”, played by Lee Byung-hun) as well as the opportunity to be cast in English language films overseas.
Dang his grammar is so good! There were some grammar lapses but it’s very minimal and his subject verb agreement is so perfect!!! I love how he speaks. Find a guy like Jinyoung! 💗

In addition to his own individual work, this is a major advantage for having fluent English speakers in you group. I'm sure Jackson, Mark, and Bambam also helped him a lot with conversational English. The same goes for Stray Kids. Felix and Bang Chan really helped Hyunjin get better at English along with the other members of the group.

You can tell he has worked hard at pronunciation. He is aware of when he needs to enunciate more because of his accent. His English is extremely good. He has also picked up English filler words which go a long way to making someone sound more fluent and confident. He should be extremely proud of himself. I know he has a step up over us trying to learn Korean since there are three fluent members he can practice conversations with (which is one of the best ways to reinforce what you learn), but he has put in the work and you can tell. He sounds just as good, if not better than people who have lived in English speaking countries for significant periods of time.

In addition to his own individual work, this is a major advantage for having fluent English speakers in you group. I'm sure Jackson, Mark, and Bambam also helped him a lot with conversational English. The same goes for Stray Kids. Felix and Bang Chan really helped Hyunjin get better at English along with the other members of the group.

You can tell he has worked hard at pronunciation. He is aware of when he needs to enunciate more because of his accent. His English is extremely good. He has also picked up English filler words which go a long way to making someone sound more fluent and confident. He should be extremely proud of himself. I know he has a step up over us trying to learn Korean since there are three fluent members he can practice conversations with (which is one of the best ways to reinforce what you learn), but he has put in the work and you can tell. He sounds just as good, if not better than people who have lived in English speaking countries for significant periods of time.
