    Test rode the 1600B twice here just the other day at Bike Week. Came away immensely impressed. Unbelievable power... this'd smoke any H-D bagger. And I have a '19 Limited with a Stage III 117 kit on the motor. I love it but this bike's performance is next level - and at a price very competitive with Harley. I have to chuckle at the "not a chance" comments. You could spend more than twice what this bike costs on an accessorized CVO and not come close to its capabilities.

    The K bike has lots more power than the wing, and more nifty in the corner, but I found it more top heavy. The wing is such a great ride and the low center of gravity makes it hard to beat. Both are great bikes,! The BMW dealer near me SUCKS so that doesn't help them lol

    In 2019 I traded my 2013 K1600 GTL with 53K on it for a 2019 Gold Wing DCT. I really like the Wing and the DCT and I do not have any negative to say about it. Although it is not, the K1600 felt much heavier then the Wing. After put 19K on the Wing, I traded back to another K1600 in the summer of 2020. The power, the sound, and the sporty feel of the BMW is a huge rush!

    I’ve been riding Harleys for 35 years. I currently ride a 2012 FLHTK Stage II. If I was to buy another new bike to replace my Harley, it would be the GW DCT. I love the 7 Speed Dual Clutch Transmission. Besides, I want something different, and a new Harley, isn’t much different than mine albeit the radio and motor.

    Fellow Riders,
    I have two Harleys presently. I'm thinking of trading the 2018 CVO Limited. The new CVOs, ST, doesn't impress me. Looking at Indians and BMWs. The Indian Roadmaster is quite nimble. Its powerband seems to pull strong. Want to roadtest the BMW 1600B. There is nothing like the smoothness from a four or six cylinder. Thanks for the review!

    I can't say I'd want to own a K1600, but I do own a gen6 Goldwing Tour(so that answers that question). The Wing is just a good riding bike that's super comfortable, especially for my wife when she's aboard. I'm sure the K1600 would walk all over the Wing performance wise, but on the road, in the reality of riding the Wing has plenty good power and handling. After 10 years on a Victory XC, I finally got used to having my feet under me on the Honda, now my feet spend most of the time there and I hardly ever use the "highway pegs" I put on for a feet forward position.

      I disagree you could ride these cross country with no trouble whatsoever motors are super smooth I own both Harley Davidson and the case 1600 they both have their purpose but the case 1600 is leaps and bounds ahead of Harley Davidson ride, power, handling and breaking! and it’s less cubic inch than a Harley. It’s 100.3 in.³ and shaft single sided so it’s easy to remove your rear wheel. It’s an amazing motorcycle but it doesn’t make me want to sell my Harley. It’s a bike that you add.

    FLYANDRIDE15, I'm curious to hear your thoughts compared to your CVO. I'm considering the K1600b this spring and all my friends ride HD. I love the comradery of the HD, but bang for buck the K1600 seems like a no brainer. The current CVO is almost twice the starting price...

    • @FLYANDRIDE15
      @FLYANDRIDE15  4 місяці тому +1

      Thanks for watching and commenting. Man, that’s a tough choice. Here’s what I will say, they are two completely different machines and I would argue can’t even be compared on the same class(despite they are both “baggers”). I think the CVO is the ultimate cruising and all around best baggers out there and if I were buying for first time, I would go with CVO. That said, if you want value for money, super fast, highly capable sport touring rocket that happens to have bags, go with k1600. That help? 😆

      @@FLYANDRIDE15Thanks for the reply and feedback! I'm currently riding a 2022 Ducati Diavel 1260s, so transitioning to a bagger from that, the logical choice seems to be the K1600. A new CVO is also more than I'd be willing to spend, but the '24 Street Glide is only a few grand more before I start adding on options. Maybe I'll demo both and go from there. Thanks again! :)

    Driven the 2024 K1600 Bagger today. Conclusion. BMW loves America. The driving experience is closer to an extremely heavy tailfin Cadillac with a creamy multi-cylinder engine and impressive road holding. The RT is the better motorcycle for motorcyclists in Europe. The Bagger is the better modern car. The cockpit tablet with its calculator design fits in very well.
