Super close-up footage, Colin. The stadium is coming on nicely. The Gulls have already made their mark. Many thanks, Gary 👍🏻

Colin, Thank you for the different perspective, going lower for longer. It was refreshing.
    Some points of note:
    1) At 1:12 mins you can see that they have stacked the shorter Standing-seam roof strips for the SE area between the South roof and the Expansion Gap (At 1:55 mins you highlighted the same process for the SW area).
    2) At 1:20 mins you can see they have started on the northern South Stand Roof Walkway near the edge of the Polycarbonate Roof.
    3) At 2:45 mins, I chuckled that you picked out the stacks of Polycarbonate rather than the laid area, which you noticed later on. Easily done and many a time I've missed something for looking too hard.
    4) Those WERE posh/plush seats you started discussing at 5:48 mins. They have taller backs to them if you compare them with the standard seats. The difference is more easily seen at 5:57 and 6:11 mins.
    5) Although the area for the rail Seating of the Lower Tier in the South Stand is discussed, you can see they've started installing the fittings, at 6:18 mins.
    6) There haven't been too many opportunities to look at the inside of the Mersey Wall but at 6:39 mins, beyond the read and white temporary barriers, you can see that there has been some 'emergency' strapping of the concrete surfaces and you can see that the area is set in from the BMD official land. Whilst they added the Gabions a long time ago, I do wonder how that eyesore is going to be remedied. Surely there must be some agreement with the Port Authorities about repairing and 'beautifying' the inside of the Mersey Wall. Something to research. Maybe take a closer look another time, Colin, please?
    7) At 8:14 mins, you have correctly discussed the plans for the Granite Setts but what we can see here doesn't resemble the suggested appearance in the plans. It may just be a colour-tone difference but I do also wonder if they've changed the spec to a concrete flag. Although you got close, it was still not quite close enough to determine the nature of the material.
    8) At 9:05 mins, that section of wall you discuss is not 'new' in the scheme of things. It's been there quite a while. Separately, you can see some of the old dock wall Granite Coping Stones between it and the water. That low concrete wall is effectively a Crash Barrier to stop any drivers' miscalculations on the swing round for the north perimeter vehicular route on to the West Plaza.
    9) At 9:50 - 11:30 mins and the discussion about the tank and pumping. It's been there for some time and don't quote me on this but I think it's nothing more sexy than making sure that the water pressures from any imbalance in the water levels between the Nelson and Sandon Docks are equalised. There are several blue-plastic-walled sink holes along the water channel area and although in some parts the black pipes are buried, you can actually see how one feed travels pretty well along the western edge of the future water channel. I don't think there is anything really happening with regard to digging out the sand. I think there's quite some way to go before that starts.
    10) Yes, at 12:00 mins you can see that the (3rd) bottom right, small triangular piece of glass was fitted.
    11) At 13:03 mins, yes, you can see the boundary wall being extended but also the digging out of the next stretch of pit for the ArborSystem for more of the Columnar Elms. the additional 7 trees will need the pit digging out where currently the vehicular T-junction is.
    12) At 13:45 mins, you can see that they have fitted the concrete safety rail and granite setts at the entranceway/exit at the SW corner of the Pump House.
    13) At 19:00 mins, I think it's down to as little as 5 remaining glass panels to be applied to the SE end of the South Stand window.
    Have a great Bank Holiday.

Brilliant video, especially giving a sense of the size of the plaza.

Where the tower just came down, on the north of the fan plaza, you can now see the drainage pipes for the roof, that feed the buried water tanks.

Great coverage as always and thank you 🙏
There is one area of the site many drone operators ignore despite lots of development, that is the works taking place alongside the dock wall on the river side. It’s not as glamorous as the work everywhere else but it is interesting 👍

Great views of the fan plaza Colin , good that you could go so low as it gives a better perspective of just how large that area is. It also gives you an idea of the overall size of the site, as sometimes views from inside make it seem not as vast as Tottenham's stadium .

There's a lot of good steady progress here. But they are taking their time with the Barrel Roof, aren't they?

    • @DuncTheBlue1878
      @DuncTheBlue1878 Місяць тому

That’s because the roof needs to be completed before they can finish the barrel cladding

Brilliant Colin again. So the rail seats are just there because some fans prefer to stand up? But in some games they have to be down right? So in the future if we want to increase capacity can we use the same rail seats or would it be a re-fit?How does it work at Dortmund when the have 3 into 2 system? do some fans have priority if the seats have to be locked down? The water pumping is interesting, does David Badcock know what is happening there ?

You can decide if you wish to sit or stand in that area. Might be difficult to see from seat if you sit and the person in front stands but that risk comes with opting to buy ticket in that area. An increase in capacity will depend upon a change in legislation- style of seats will be dictated by the law. Simply speaking possible that 2 seat spaces could become 3 standing spots. I do not envisage it happening in UK my lifetime.

Apologies John , i forgot to add the picture of chelsea's rail seats. If you look at my channel description and send me an email i will forward it on to you

Looks like they're emptying the channel to allow it to be excavated with JCBs etc. - then remove the temporary dam and allow the water to flow through.

John: Re the Blue Tank and Pumping, I'm copying across here from my separate comment:
