Does anyone know why the homes in Red Feather Lakes seem to be so much lower than the homes in other CO mountain towns? So far the only con I can see is that it apparently gets considerably colder in the winter than the average Colorado mountain town. Am I missing something or is this just a really good place to get a lot of home for your money?
@@dylancook9041 Are you looking for a home in a CO mountain town? My husband and I are looking and we were shocked at the difference in prices. To me it looks like you can get about 4 times the home that you could get in a ski resort town and at least 2 times what you could get in a non-ski resort town. We have been keeping an eye on a beautiful house here (at a fantastic price), but it’s been sitting on the market for quite some time. Hope somebody can help us understand why home prices are so low here!
@@kyul4386 Hey, thanks for answering! Can you go into a little more detail? When you say privately owned I assume you mean there’s not much in the way of restaurants, shops, etc.? If that’s not important to you and you’re just looking for a beautiful mountain home with great views and hiking (and affordable - where you can buy a lot of home for your money), would this be a place that you would recommend? Thanks!

I'm wondering the same thing.
