Super informative and easy to follow. One small thing that maybe you could add for Dummies like me is that the emergency brake must be OFF. Learned that the hard way.

    Tools needed:
    1/2 inch ratchet
    19mm for lugs
17mm for sliders and brake mount bolts
    wire brushes and wire wheel
    EP2 bearing grease
    anti-seize compound
    brake cleaner
    hammer
C-clamp or F-clamp to bring brake cylinder back to 0
torque wrench for tightening everything back up

Electric impact will also make this job go faster once you break the bolts loose. Would also add a breaker bar to the list.

I believe your doing the passenger side. If so that rotor was the driver's side !!
Those drilled and slotted rotors are side specific.

What lubricant are you using on the drum points?

  • @j-cubtv3018

For first timers like me, it would be nice if u showed the bottles you are using. The lubricant for example. The one I found it’s different…

Thirty doll hairs , just start collecting barbie's hair. After a trip to the local plastic factory you'll have more than you'll ever need.

when i took the rotor off the driver side, i somehow ripped off two spring with cap things on opposite sides. im not sure how that happened but how can i avoid that happening in the future?

154 ft lbs is wrong for that wheel, its 97. 154 is steel wheels.

He didn't replace the caliper pin (slider) boots. The Toyota service manuals shows those as non-reusable. You'd think a parts house would remember to sell parts....
Also, what about bleeding the brakes?
