Shifu, you're one of the best of wudang masters and I'm glad you took the time to explain this to us in English. It's true we consume far too much protein in the west that's why most of us are too tall, too stocky and too thick with poor flexibility and stamina.

Veganism is like a magical dance w/ life vs/ living off of death. The food Pyramid is an absolute Marketing Scheme for industrial agriculture used on human resources since the spice trade. People are waking up to organic food vs/ gmo or other unnatural forms of sustenance such as cooking (not natural) oxidated flesh to eat animals who get their minerals from plants. Only plants have natural affinity to the human body w/ minerals in a form called phosphates. It's no wonder so many overweight people and heart disease #1 cause of death

There is no such thing as "veganism". For something to live another thing must die. When you grow crops or harvest your wheat, all of the rats, animals, and birds that live in it are killed. Veganism can be a good diet as long as you are well educated and know how to balance your protein and micronutrients. What the Daoist priest eat in their vegetables is not the same quality that you would have access to. Today's industrial farming practices have lead to much fewer important micronutrients in the soil and less in the vegetables that are available.
Actually the best diet is an all meat diet as eaten by the Mongols, Viking, Plains Indians, and Gauchos in South America. Meat only diet is superior to grain diets but requires that the people become nomads or are wealthy enough to afford it. Most of the world cannot afford a meat only diet and in the past it has been impractical. This is why the monks and Daoist priests eat vegetarian diets. Daoist are wary of wheat and they know the harmful affects of it so they avoid it.
Even on a vegetarian diet, it is possible through the practice of Qigong and meditation to be super healthy. But you do need to practice for 3 to 5 hours a day to do so. If you eat meat only, you don't need to do anything as that is supposed to be your normal diet. On a meat only diet, your cultivation of Qigong would be more productive than on a vegetarian diet. But there are so few pure meat eaters that also practice taichi so it is not well known.

@@3rdeyemindz literally every vegetable is genetically modified in order to be edible. they may not have used labs in the past but GMO can be done with cross pollination the plants with the characteristics you want. also nice way to prove you swallowed the blue pill... the amino acid's you lack on the vegan diet is not conducive to proper living, your digestive system has evolved around meat long before the homo-sapiens evolution happened. most important vitamins can be synthesized in the liver, kidneys, or pancreas . all of which (execpt Vitamin c) is found in animal fats.
Also you're not a real vegan ( not using animal product or animal by products) if you eat anything pollinated as animals have to do this. also whats your stance on bacteria , do you drink kombucha( animal by product) , do you supplement vitamins with yeast or e coli produced lab by products. what step have you actually done for your self to not rely on animal by products. also humans are as much apart of the animal kingdom, so do you cultivate your own Vegetables (that's not animal pollinated by bees, moth, birds or any other wild life brushing against it).
It is obvious that many Vegan like to use science to promote veganism, yet scientifically they shouldn't be eating anything that isn't a fungus, oh wait those are more related to animals then vegetables.
if all the vegans could adhere to their diet restrictions you wouldn't be able to live long enough to save all the animals.
protein is also the most satiating macro nutrients and carbs are the least, there for you would need to consume less food to survive.
And on top of all that the amount of animals that lose natural habitats due to farms going up for soy beans, almond and avocados is ridiculous. not only do vegans cause more environmental damage , if we went back to hunting and gathering, wildlife populations would sore and the amount of edible plants would go down, there for converting everyone back to omnivores.
read a biology text book from a college or university rather than listening to pseudo science, and maybe learn to experiment with your life rather than trusting someone whom is willing to do more research than you.

Here are the most sustainable foods for the environment and body in this order so much coconuts millets potatoes moringa wheat lentils beans rice soy. Also think of things like ginseng many things detoxify like teas and think about haritaki for example neem castor. Also vegan is essential. The underutilized eggs rarely come from internal alchemy note chickens that produce only 30 a year more like 70 or something and their bones are weaker than ours we both have problems. Ive heard we don’t know how to eat cholesterol as well so I wouldn’t. -Jamison(the one who replaces)lol. The stress hormones likewise as the example he gave are actually pumped out when the animals are killed as well so don’t eat meat because that in and of itself will hurt you and them. Here’s some drink. Coconut milk almond milk oat milk soy milk water etc. I would do lentils with peri peri. You could do that every day it’s so good.

this is something that westermedicine doesnt do and tha tis understand that everyone is different so when it comes to sickness needs to be treated differently unfortunately this costs money because the person will have to comeback more times to get a proper diagnoses and cure what is illing them, western medicine just generalizes sickness and gives pills . I do the simple things like if I have a head cold I will eat spicy food I eat what is in season and also do my best to eat local foods that are in season which is difficult to do but this is the balance we should be eating local and foods that are natural in our area it puts us in harmony or balance with the area we live

    Taoist Not daoist!!!

    • @DaWeiGongfu
      @DaWeiGongfu  2 місяці тому

Nope, incorrect. "Tao" is the old 1912 Wade-Giles romanization of the word 道。It has been rejected as inaccurate and replaced by the Pinyin system of romanization of the word as "Dao". Wade-Giles was abandoned in 1979.
"Dao" is more accurate to the Mandarin pronunciation of the word.
"Tao" is only used by non-Mandarin speakers that don't have any experience with the language. Once you start learning Mandarin, Pinyin tends to make a lot more sense.
If you take a listen to Master Yuan in the video he always pronounces it as "Daoist" and "Daoism" with the "D" sound and not a "T" sound. As a native Mandarin speaker and a Daoist Master, I think he's probably correct. 😉
