Some of Vine's comments have been getting rather close to the line lately. A bit of innuendo and then that awful moment when he laughed uproariously but all by himself. This is his wake-up call.
Probably because there has been a culture of acceptance on the Masterchef team. Female contestants were probably taken to side and warned. But, he has come against women who are not simply put it to the side. I mean if you try to be creepy with Kirsty Wark then you get what you deserve. ❤❤
Greg Wallace was once in the newspapers for assaulting someone who touched his girlfriend, allegedly. Some he sounds like he has a temper on him. As usual, it's either hushed up or it takes years for the allegations to surface. I've always found Wallace rather arrogant and abrasive. I don't have much sympathy for him.
I feel the need to warn young men here... looks matter a great deal to woman. If you are not the best looking guy, be VERY careful what you say around woman. You might see the Chad/alpha guts being flirty and using sexual inuendos etc, but do not think the same thing will work for you. This is what confuses men. They see attractive guys in the media being overly flirty and society calls that 'confidence' but society doesn't admit that it's about looks, so awkward/ugly guys copy and it doesn't go down well. Be very careful guys.
Except for women because men don't complain. Imagine all the offices up and down the country where women are making inappropriate comments but don't get pulled up on it. It's always men. Quite frankly I'm sick of it
I think this opens up a discussion about where the "line" should be and when "banter" goes too far. I want society to maintain banter, maintain playfulness. It's NO FUN to be serious and "appropriate" at all times - but there HAS TO be a line. That line is drawn by the person you're interacting with. If they're not in on the banter, if it's totally one sided and doesn't make the other person laugh, only serving to make them feel uncomfortable - it's bullying. How much of the bullying he is aware of - it's hard to say, maybe he lacks social skills and finds it hard to interpret when he's making people feel bad - but I'd wager that he has always been aware that he's been pushing boundaries and likely gets off on it. Is it illegal? no. Should he lose his position? yes. Should he be doomed for all eternity? not necessarily, he can still find a path forward in his life and might still find work presenting for an audience that will accept him - it just shouldn't be at the BBC and on behalf of license payers' money.
Could Gordon Ramsay be next with his insults - he has brought some to tears … Or does it have to be of sexual content . So is it ok to upset someone if you aren’t saying any sexual innuendos ?
I don't think Gordon uses sexual language like this though? And plus he is better looking than Gregg so probably would get away with more even if he did.
Men of a certain age got brought up watching Benny Hill, carry on films etc, so have a certain sense of humour, What about the grooming gangs in Yorkshire ❗ Get real please.
I do not like the look of him … but really? He does make a valid point .. and it would be very easy to check if complainants ARE middle class and middle aged. If they are? … well … point proven! How can it be misogyny as Downing Street claim … if the statement is, in fact, factual. Does not of course negate the claims or offence ….. but jeeez .., wimpy people seem to take offence at anything these days. Why did not these apparently middle aged middle class women… Just tell him he is a dirty old man and should shut up… at the time of the behaviour?
Wallace has just apologised, that was a big mistake as he'll find out soon enough. Never explain, never apologise, it's the wrong era for that.

Vine has always been a bit slimy too 😂
why did he get away with this for so long?

@@robertfraser9873after 11 years 😂
Maybe it's just jokes. Women have lost the plot
I hate these kind of things. There are no specifics mentioned with these incidents so the guy is accused and straight away is guilty

All the sexual banter is classed at harassment under 2010 Equality Act- the demographics are irrelevant.
Am I missing something? He was commenting on a tart she made on a cooking show whilst being a little silly. I don't see the problem here.
He knew what he was inferring to there... crossed the lines on many occasions glad he's gone

Agree, but if there's groping involved you can't ward that off

Gordon Ramsey has been getting away with swearing and belittling people for ages, where is the outrage for him?

Bit unfair to bracket him with Huw Edwards.
Amanda holden better watch! She's said some dodgy things to men young enough to be her sons over the years.
