Thank you for this video. The pathology assistant programme and chemical pathologist role you talked about, can you do the course while working or do you need to take some time off? How many years of experience is needed before applying to the doctor programme? Thanks.
Hey Marc! I have a bachelor in Health science which was completed all online with no labs. What do you suggest I do, go back to school to do a bachelor in MLS or go for a Masters? I’m confuse
I graduated from Medical Laboratory Science in Nigeria University , can you mentor me on how to apply for Msc in US and possibly ,get job after the program
So I recently graduated with bachelors of Biochemsitry and I wanna get into a clinical/medical laboratory tech field but most of the places are requiring certification where would you say I should apply to get my foot in the door and then work on the certification. I live in Texas but I’m open to moving to other states to work. Thank you
Hello Mark, I have a master’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science & Biotechnology, MLS ASCPi certified with 2 years of research experience from while I was a graduate student. However, I have no hospital/clinical experience. After my bachelor’s, I went straight into my master’s. I am about to start seeking work opportunity in NJ/NY area but I’m not sure of what to actually look for. I feel overqualified for the Medical technologist jobs offered at hospitals yet I feel under experienced for the Research Associate jobs offered at universities and research facilities. Can you offer some advice on where I should start at such a time in my career? Should I use my bachelor’s to attain an entry level Medical Technologist job at a hospital? Or should I go for the Research Associate jobs and hope for the best though Im under experienced??
Work in a hospital as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist or Medical Technologist. It will open your eyes to clinical science, expand your horizon and help you pick basic, and advanced skill laboratory skills that you would need even if you decide to go into the research field as a research assistant. It will keep you miles ahead of your peers in the research setting. I am a PhD in medical laboratory science, I have experience in both professional practice and research, so I should know.
Thanks for asking. I am going to be honest with you. If you really need money right now, you should start working as Clinical laboratory technologists. Also, you can use this experience while searching for jobs in the Research industry. If you really want to work as a Research associate and money is not an issue for you. Then you should look for the Research associate work.
Hi Careyy thanks for your question. You most likely will need an agency but be very cautious of scamers. Make sure you look for reputable agencies. Always aske questions. Of something doesn't feel right, then it is not right. Good luck

Is IELTS is needed after ascp certificate for job in america ?
I never heard of IELTS. You definitely don't need it in order to work in the US
Even for foreign students ?
What is IELTS?
For nurses only
For medical laboratory scientist didn't needed?
I soon follow this route
