It happens to a lot of artists actually, you portray what you see and sometimes when you draw/paint you take inspiration from yourself. wether it's conscious or unconscious you start to take inspiration from your traits although it's more common in beginners.

I read from somewhere that true beauty is basically a fanfic of the author, Jin from BTS and JB from Got7. So the author is Jugyeong, Suho is Jin, and JB is Seojun. Idk if the author actually said it tho- Oh and Suho looks more like Eunwoo than Jin so ¯\_(•_•)_/¯

Fans asking her that question is because in webtoon series , it's confusing the fans because seojun also got the possibilities to be lead hero, he got lot of screen time compared to drama he also got kiss scene with jugyeong. It's a bit different with the drama series who we can predict suho of course is the lead male for the drama.

(Anyone who feels happy about it might be a little twisted.) This is a plot device I ABSOLUTELY HATE with romance love triangle plots. It's like Ao Haru Ride all over again but worse because Jugyeong and Seojun actually loved each other and Seojun worked so hard for EVERYTHING and is too precious. :((

To anyone that doesn't know the ORIGINAL true beauty story : So, the original male lead's name is Seungho Lee. He is a super popular ulzzang. He has one secret-- he's an otaku. He was rejected by a transfer student that became his chairmate, so he decided to change. He also learned how to use makeup from internet (like Jugyeong). He dated a girl, and then he broke up because he met her without his makeup on (he believed in true love).

No, I think she means the story is identifiable because the main character feels like she's ugly and is bullied for her looks etc. which caused her to want to look better.
It's a coming of age story, so anyone can relate to it
Also characters r pretty colorfull, everyone can find someone to relate with. We have Suho that don't know what he wants to do with his own life, he doesn't have any goals he wants to achieve, all he was doing most of his life was studying and studying. We have Seojun, who is kind of troublemaker outside, but it's just a mask, because he needs to get over death of his best friend, take care of his mother and sister and also is working pretty hard for girl he likes. We also have Jugyeon who was bullied because of her looks and decided to put on all the makeup to become prettier and just live a nice life, have friends etc. What she've never had before
Yeah, I honestly couldn't read this comic at all. It was totally unrelatable to me as a real person who isn't attractive and can't just put on make up to hide that fact. It was pretty shallow from my point of view, but then again, most people don't look ugly. So perhaps it is relatable to most people. I suspect it must be, or else it wouldn't be so successful. Whatever the case, the fantasy of having boys falling all over you is universal in my opinion. lol

Okay does anyone else think the Webtoon might actually pair her up with Seojun? Like Team Suho is good and all but based off what I'm seeing in the show adaption, they're making Suho and Jugyeong have bigger screen time, than her and Seojun. They even made them kiss, which wasn't seen in the Webtoon. So maybe Team Suho will be for the show and Team Seojun will be in the Webtoon. That's just my theory. It might be Team Suho for both who knows.
