A perfect example of why I place Adam del Monte at they very top of my list. He has the explosiveness and speed of Sabicas, the cleanliness and precision of John Williams, the sense of cool inevitability of Jascha Heifetz...all combined with the musicality and emotion of Itzhak Perlman.
I heard countless versions of this...but this version is really the essence of what this piece embodies. Bravo doesn't do it justice, but then again there aren't any words to fully capture this masterful performance.
Flamenco guitarists possess a joy of playing that is wonderful! As classical musicians, we sometimes lack this courage to play without fear, with firmness, without fearing a little fret noise, to give more to the interpretation! The best interpretation of this music, for my personal taste!
Adam del Monte is not a Flamenco guitarist "only" as he has a classical training of the highest level. He can approach with total mastery any of the two disciplines. This spectacular and clean version of Sevilla is an example of his mastery. A Flamenco guitarist would not have this level of cleanliness and sensitivity.
@@DanielGarcia-tm6lx Certainly, I'm aware that Adam also has classical training, which is quite evident. However, he is an exceptional Flamenco guitarist and has masterfully incorporated Flamenco techniques into this wonderful repertoire by Albeniz.
I was thinking that. Have you see his Masterclass episode with a young Cheryl Grice? I think Julian was a bit taken by Cheryl. He kind of lays it on a bit thick, however Cheryl is by far the best of the three students in this episode and Julian knows it. If not here it is: The episode was Julian Bream Masterclass 1978: Isaac Albéniz Granada & Sevilla ua-cam.com/video/iAXUzIrukt0/v-deo.html
His performance is completely out of the world! The best I have heard on this piece next to Bream. Albeniz music should be played this way on the guitar which is more Spanish than playing on a piano.
A lovely Sevilla even if the purists would turn their collective noses up at the 'artistic flourish' of the soloist. For me it really makes my heart soar when I see a musician actually enjoying the tune they're playing us. It conveys what the composer had in mind I think.
No, this is a classical guitar piece originally written for piano. My 13 year old is learning it right now on classical guitar. Flamenco guitar is played with different style and techniques, main focus is the rhythm. Whereas classical guitar focusses primarily on tone quality and melody.
A really "guitarristic" interpretation which brings this piano work back to the guitar where it belongs.😀

unbelievable, got tears in my eyes listening to this, bravo!!!

So clean and precise and full of passion! Incredible! Thank you Adam and GSI!
Fabulous! Such nimble and fast moving up and down the fretboard! Very impressive!❤👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Brilliant guitarist and teacher. Thank you Maestro del Monte.
I could listen to him all day and what a beautiful guitar.
The tone and feel are off the charts.
Un claro ejemplo de que cuando tocas una pieza clásica con el corazón flamenco, el resultado es simplemente hermoso.
Digo!
Absolutely flawless
Nunca tinha ouvido antes um som como esse. Estou realmente impressionado!

Sensacional
¡Maravilloso!
That Erez Perelman guitar has a really beautiful tone.
Wow - you took it to another level 🎉
Awesome!
How does he play in that position? Impressive indeed 👏
This is simply mindblowing. How come I never heard of this guy?
Fenomeno
Adam is a great player...I love maple guitars. I played a Jose Oribe cedar and Birdseye Maple to die for.
Fabulous!! ✌❤

.
AWESOME
Simply the best guitarist alive .
He's amazing, thrilling, sensational, but let's not say "the best".
Ole !! 💃🏻
Woooooooow👏👏👏
Querido Adam !!! Que interpretação !! Fantástico ❤❤❤❤❤❤ gracias
Muito Brigado :)
Very expressive
Beautiful performance, very "flamenco-esque" to my ears.
It's written as a dance so "flamenco-esque" is usually missing from most classical versions..
Keep'em coming, Adam!
Absolutely masterful !!!! The best version you can hear at the moment, no doubt about it.

This song should have been performed by a flamenco guitarist👍👍
