I made a minor rules goof and forgot to bring the Ottoman Empire into the war right away when the Central Powers hit Limited War; I don't know how much it would have affected the game, and I did fix it at the end of the video. Sorry about that!

FYI handy way in TTS to swap colors, bind color to key of choice, open the console then do this (change keys and colors if needed)
bind i color teal
!
bind o color blue
!
That is so cool! I never knew that!
21:55 You can't advance reduced units. Also, the CP did 7 loss factors, which eliminates the Army (3+3) and should flip the Corp (1).
That's interesting, thank you for pointing that out
Yes, it’s one of the most important rules. If you don’t have a full strength counter after the battle, you can’t advance even if you win the battle @@AvguardianGaming
@@1georgemak Thanks!
48:15 Same mistake, advanced with reduced army
The movie Paths of Glory is about the French army.
Thank you! I haven't actually seen it yet, believe it or not.
@@AvguardianGaming Definitely worth the watch. It’s an awesome film. Thank you for the video. I’m watching as I work my way through the rules.
@@bkindt Enjoy!
Paths of Glory is an excellent Stanley Kubrick film. With regard to discipline at the other end of the scale did you know that the sheer slaughter resulting from the meaningless stupid offensives by some French generals led the French command to look the other way and accept a number of big mutinies. That is they acknowledged the shortcomings of their own generals to give the common soldiers some respite...an interesting detail that says something about the unimaginative way WW1 was mostly fought and the terrifying conditions the common soldier had to face...
43:05 Maybe you mean *9.2.3* ?
_Belgian units in Antwerp, Ostend, Calais or Amiens may be treated as British units for Activation purposes._
I can't find in the rulebook that if British stack with Allied besided FR it counts only 1 Activation. Maybe old rules, I don't know.
@@bettorapetto You could be right!
21:40 The Frenc army took 7 losses so the corp should be flipped (not destroyed). It could due to forest in Sedan take an extra loss and avoid retreat, but as it just is the damaged corp left it can not take more losses without emptying the defending area? if France took 6 losses instead it could take that 7th step and stay in Sedan right.
@@PMMagro You might be right! I haven't played this in a while, so I'm not sure, but I know I made plenty of mistakes lol
1:19:35 BR I think can use their RPs( but you said _it doesn't matter_ ).
Perhaps rule *17.1.1.1* may have created confusion
@@bettorapetto Thanks!
How are the replacement points for the replacement phase counted up? Just simply add up all the replacement factors on each card played during the 6 turns of the action phase?
@@ryanmcdaniel4727 That's correct - not every single card though, just the ones expressly played for RPs.
I apologize, I am trying to learn the game alone and the rule book doesn't always seem to have the answers to my confusion. I was playing every card as an ops card unknowing they could be played for reinforcement value. Am I correct in assuming that the only way any unit can be activated for attack or movement is by using a card for ops value and if the card is used for reinforcements, there is no action made by the units during that phase of the action round?
@@ryanmcdaniel4727 You're completely fine! I had to double check the rules myself lol. Apart from an event that expressly gives you movement/attack/RPs, you are entirely correct. (I can't remember if this game has those but I'm fairly sure it does)
In Action round 2, did you take one French corps and 4 Russian Corps? I think the SR value of that card was 4, correct?
I don't honestly recall, but if I did, that would have been incorrect as you point out
