I think Mana started the dark attire and this type of music after Kami's death because he was mourning... and maybe he felt like Gackt used him only to gain popularity and then break off.

And funny how the intro sounds almost identical to "Kuroi Torikago" (By Kanon Wakeshima). It makes sense because Mana composed and produced Kanon's songs. If you haven't heard her sing, you should.
