A little trick my granny taught me is to freeze containers like 1/2 gallon o.j. bottles...anything that is sizeable and won't bust. I save them, fill 4-5 with water and freeze them. I leave those in the bottom of out big freezer and one in our frig freezer and that helps keep the unit cooler a little while if we lose power. It's also good if power goes off and I'm not home for a little bit. Just a little 'granny advice" for ya'!
That’s a great idea, I live in Australia and it’s not very often the power goes out ( only when they are working on the power lines in our area ) and they let us know a month in advance but you never know and as I said that’s a great idea thanks 👏

I would not buy anything without a lid as far as play pool/sandbox was concerned. It lasted through my 2, plus many more children after that.

I had a serious car accident on black ice a few years ago and I always said when I retired I would not budge in bad weather because every single job I had in my 48 year career, I was "essential personnel " and I had to go to work. I've now been retired 8 years and that's one of the absolute pleasures I can now enjoy...8 winters of being able to stay home. Stay warm/safe!

We're expecting bad weather too unfortunately the paychecks went to our raised rent the trippled electric bill and gas for work, then the car broke the last money went to fix it so nothing left to prepare, 30 miles in nowhere so We're just praying for the best and tightening the belts, hopefully everyone stays warm and content until spring, I can't wait for it
Watching your videos takes me back to when my kid's were little, I had them at a very young age and I was constantly outside with them and doing arts and crafts. My oldest is 20 now my youngest son is 18; and in the army so we don't get the family time like we used to. So when I watch you with your babies it makes my Mommy heart so happy ❤

Would not do Sand. We made that mistake. Turned into a litter box for our cats and strays and we didn't know it. Ended up giving the kids pin worms. And thanks now hubby has to go to Arby's and try the burger. Burgers are his go to thing. He can eat them breakfast lunch and dinner.

Ain’t no one going to get it if they ain’t in it…or been there. 😂 Deep chest freezers can go 3 days without power as long as y’all didn’t open it, so plugging it in on day 3 was perfect. I’d say that stuff on the bottom was still good. But, better safe than sorry I guess. God bless y’all!
