Quick set up guide for getting started on this WISYCOM radio mic kit. Running through the explanation for how to scan for frequencies and how to sync the RX and TX
Just purchased an MCR42 and this is really helpful. Thanks! However, I have the Band 8 version and it doesn't seem to have the intergap option when scanning, so it looks like I have to scan each group individually. Would anyone know if this something I can access?
Is it just me or is there a crispy "shrillness" in the high end when using ENC over ENR? I run 4060's/4071's on ENR most of the time, I find in ENC, although it opens up the "air" more to the lav, I'm hearing a decent presence boost. Thoughts?
Thought I’d ask a few questions months later so here goes... Do you find you struggle with dynamic range when using analog outs into the line ins only on channels 4-6? I found I couldn’t get nearly enough ideal gain when having to set the transmitters at -10 with 4060’s as the talent went from mumbling to one another to shouting at a football match, setting the gain to account for the shouts on the wisys but not enough gain to boost up the low level from the mumbling. All analog outs set to maximum 12dbu and 16dbu (with the S3 model) Also, I had mental problems with all 4 of mine running during one sequence once they went out of range. Channel 1 was fine as it just went silent as tone squelch was on but the other 3 went crazy spewing out distorted noise despite having tone squelch on, have you ever ran into that scenario?
Hello Jono! Really great tutorial, thanks a lot! I have question. What would be safe gain settings for the MTP40/41 transmitters for the show where the actors voices might vary for moderate to possibly very high levels. We will be mainly using DPA 4071s and 6060s. Any feedback would be highly appreciated!
brillllllliiiiant!!! thank you :) very helpful!

I understood it to be ENC for voice and ENR for music though I may be wrong! I run cos11
Couldnt agree more. ENC for me does not sound best for dialogue. ENR all the way

Start with -13 and work from there
Thank you Jono!
Hi, thank you for your video. Just a question : how do you set up automatically IRDA enable on the MTP40S immediately when you switch it on ?
it does it anyway even though it doesn't say so. just try it!
Jono Cary, thank you for your answer. Me, I have to scroll specifically on IRDA... otherwise, it doesn’t work 🤷🏼♀️
@@lenasoudre9078 You've tried programming the rx and clicking to send the signal, then turning on the tx in range and then it picks it up?
What's the difference between MCR42 and MCR42S ?
They were hardware variants the original, S1 s2 and s3. Minor differences but masicislly the s3 is a bit louder output.
Btw those 3 pin lemos are screw on or clicking in? Just wonder.
Kirill Belousov screw type
@@mrjono999 great. So it's same as sk6000 then. Thanks
Do you know anyone using a Zoom F8? I would love to see how they set it up.
Line out, line in :)
Is that the ktek junior bag?
it is!
