So I’m seeing lots of negativity in the comments for this rig and i am little confused by it so the traxxas 4tec 3.0 is $350 and comes brushed for a top speed of 30 mph but does offer a nice scaled body. arrma has taken there 3s line and created a nice on-road mini limitless /felony but 1/8 scale that can hit 70 mph right out of the box and to me that impressive for a 3s $450 rig but I get it it’s not 4 everyone and the 6s infraction and felony are amazing but they also cost now $700 so I see great value for this rig I would like to get one down the line 4 great review Greg..
This review sold me on the car. Just got one yesterday … was surprised how much bigger it is compared to my 4tec 3.0 vette after sitting them next to each other. I’m hoping to find other wheels and tires that fit to use for some touring car like driving and save the stocks for speed runs.
Thankfully arrma is now selling the hoons for the vendetta aswell, so you can get new wheels for hooning around. Which is basically a 1/8 scale version of the infraction and felony wheels. :)
This is a new rc car. The speed is fast and the corners look stable. Arma seems to be good at making fast rc cars. The UA-camr's reviews were helpful in purchasing the product. thank you.👍👍👍
I'd like to see how much of a difference the rear spoiler makes to the top speed, would you get more mph with the stock pinion and by just changing the rear spoiler?
This thing looks amazing, and I've never considered an on-road car until recently when I outfitted my Rustler 4x4 VXL with more street-friendly tires. That being said, it looks like I'll be replacing the tires every 14 minutes on something like this :\ Is that accurate, do you chew through tires as quickly as one might think? Plus the 14mm wheel hex seems unpopular for third party tires.

@@MORCSPEEDSHOP well, your gonna want to get an anti roll bar kit, (unless it already has one, in which case tighten it some) and adjust the camber to be around 1-3 degrees, I’d say 1.7 in the front and 2.6 in the back. Also I just noticed that they aren’t adjustable…. Frick.
A year later & thanks to E main Christmas in July , there is a Mako Shark coming to the Quad/ Heli Room . Fast Attitude with dorsal fin & all. Good things come to those that wait lol Timing was perfect.
Started worrying as I woke up on the 31st so I ordered another one an hour later. Just now Amain message says , its shipped. Yellow Lemon Shark will meet Blue Mako Shark ,soon.
I'm on the fence myself on this one. It's down to the Traxxas 4 tec Supra and the vendetta. I'd say what I've learned so far is that you can get the Supra at 350$ usd and put a hobbywing Max10 combo in it to be 2/3s capable. The Supra plus max10 come out to nearly the same price as vendetta, and they would be relatively close to each other in speed.
u know im a huge fan of arrma an dig just about every car they make (an much love from the wife owned most ) but, i have to say there 3s models for as long as they have been out u think they woulda figured out the rocks getting up into the servo by now only complaint.....
Good looking car, but I wouldn’t buy it because it has so much plastic (diff pinion, Diff center, plastic spur gear) … I own an Arrma Vorteks now for 5 months and the rear diff pinion broke 6 times!
This car is an arrma suton truck. Drives straight but I have seen many stripped plastic gears. I have seen these plastic trucks often at the drag races in chicago . Dont buy this machine.
My speed runs started with a Kyosho Phantom EP. Just swapped the pinion with a slighty bigger one and voila! 90 mph on 2s. That little thing flies and embarrases cars running on 4, 6 and even 8s lipos at the track.
I finally got the traxxas 4 tec 2.0. It's too small and frail. No way would I do that again. Been looking for a bigger on road with parts support. The arrma 7 scale on road cars are just too big and cost too much.
Look forward to seeing all the bad reviews on this plastic gears car. Dont but it. I have seen the arrma suton truck fails. This car is the arrma suton redesigned for onroad.
But your comparing it to an off-road truck that people are jumping and landing on power. These impacts exert much more load on the driveline than a car accelerating on a flat road surface.
@@swampcritterisbackbaby1740 you're not supposed to hit curbs at 70 mph. Not many rc cars can handle that kind of impact without sustaining some kind of damage. Lol
I can see people having issues with plastic gears for off-road. But on-road is a different beast. I’ve been running this since the video, no signs of problems yet.

Sorry to bad rap this car. I only speak the truth . It's an arrma suton. At the rc drag strip I know many racers have plenty of gear failures on the arrma suton. This is an arrma suton designed to be an onroad car. I would like a 7 scale built as an 8 scale. The 7 scale cost too much to build up.
450$ for all those plastic parts and 3s capable spektrum electronics isn’t a good price that’s a traxxas price. 😂 above 55mph it’s rly unstable bc of the rear wing someone alrdy got injured doing a speedrun. The tire vent holes will get chewed up by the tires bc of downforce if u adjust the defusers. Arrma knows ppl want a new 4s line. I predicted arrmas quality and parts availability suffering last year after the horz hob acquisition. The same way duratrax and axial has.
What I find amazing about these little arma trucks is they drive so straight on full acceleration. But , here's the problem plastic gears. I know a few drivers that own the suton by arms and the gears strip often. Why did arma do this. I would like an 8 scale on road, it's a no for me due to the plastic gears.
If arrma down sized the 7 scale to design an 8 scale , it would be a winner and certainly I would buy it. No way do I want a redesigned arrma suton cheap plastic PC of shit plastic gear truck. My losi scte 1.0 all metal has been near perfect. Same size as an 8 scale buggy. May build one into an 8 scale on road. Losi old rc machines were over built tough.
I just one this car recently in a drawing. Haven’t gotten it yet but not sure if it’s a car for me. I prefer big jumps and skate parks with my cars. I’ll put a few packs thru and see I guess. Thought about giving to my nephews till I saw 70mph lol.

love those fender vents on top of tires for better aero and reduce lift.
Your correct, the purpose of them is to release pressure from the wheel well therefore reducing lift

low spoiler and big pinion would give you highest top speed

The loads exerted on the drivelines are much different between the Vorteks and Vendetta.
