RMIT offers professionally accredited bachelor and master degrees in Laboratory Medicine.
RMIT's Laboratory Medicine degree includes a work placement (professional practice) during the third and fourth year. Students work in laboratories at a number of major teaching hospitals in Victoria, including the Peter Macallum Cancer Institute, Austin Health and the Royal Children's Hospital, as well as private pathology labs. They also have the opportunity to spend 12 weeks at an overseas laboratory.
Students gain hands-on experience using the latest equipment and operating systems, and also work as part of a large collaborative team of clinical staff and doctors.
