PSALM 95 Let Us Sing Songs of Praise Psalm 95 is a Royal Psalm calling us to come and worship God in spirit and truth. It gives a beautiful illustration as God our Shepherd and we the people of His pasture. This psalm illustrates God leading the Children of Israel into the promise land and includes a memory from the wilderness when the children of Israel tested God by saying, “Is the LORD among us or not?” Today, if you hear is voice do not harden your heart. The writer of Hebrews 3 tells us that Jesus is the fulfillment of our Sabbath rest. I’m no longer working for my salvation; I no longer struggle in my heart. I can enter rest because of the finished work of Christ. That is the fulfillment of our Sabbath rest.
This song holds together God’s gracious Call to worship and and a confession of how we stray and deserve God’s anger. The end shows why we need God to send a redeemer who can finally lead his people to rest and worship.
Bless the Lord! Glory to the King! He gave us the power to no longer be slaves to sin, freed us and saved us from the miry clay, the filthy sinking sand. He gave us a new heart, and a new life. This world has nothing to be desired compared to the love and joy and peace of knowing our Savior, Jesus, Yeshua! This music fills my heart with love and joy and is so anointed. Thank you and thank you Father in heaven. Let us bow down and give the Lord Jesus our best, let's not be just hearer's of the word but work on being doers so we can honor him and show the world his glory. Forgive me of my sins O Lord, renew a right spirt inside me, search me O God and see if there be ANY wicked thing in me. I lay all at your cross. You alone are worthy to be praised. Jesus is Lord of all!
