This is footage of the Oigawa Railway filmed on February 11, 1984.
The first scene is footage of the Kanaya-Shin-Kanaya section, but I am not familiar with the other locations, so I will only explain the trains.
The first train to appear is pulled by C11 227, a locomotive manufactured in 1942 that entered service with the Oigawa Railway in 1975, making it over 80 years old
and 50 years old, so it is amazing how long it has lasted.
01:01 This is a 351 series train formerly owned by Seibu Railway, which was converted to a two-door model and used until around 2002.
02:25 is a former Odakyu SSE 3000 series car, which started out as the Romance Express "Ooigawa", but unfortunately it didn't attract as many passengers as expected and was discontinued after a few years.
03:12 is a former Odakyu 1900 series + former Hokuriku Railway 6000 series "Kutani" (changed to "Akaisi" after arriving at Oigawa). The "Akaisi" was de-electrified when it entered service, so the 1900 was used to pull it and was used until 1994.
04:53 is a former Hokuriku Railway Moha 6010 series car, nicknamed "Shirasagi", which was used until 2002.
10:50 is a former Seibu Railway 371 series car, which was later converted to a two-door car and used until 1998.
This video was taken in 1984 using a combination of a Victor video camera GZ-S3 and a portable VHS video deck.

元西武351系や 元小田急3000形『急行 おおいがわ』元小田急1900形が牽引車の元北鉄6000系『くたに』改め『あかいし』日本で２番目のアルミカー元北鉄6010系『しらさぎ』元国鉄モハ11系改め元西武311系 皆懐かしいですが 今でも生きてるのが これらよりも遥かに古いＳＬと旧客というもの面白い現象ですね。

大井川鐵道は、旧型車両を再生して動態保存させるパイオニア的存在かもしれません。
そんな鉄道ファンを楽しませてくれる同鉄道ですが、旧型車両故のインシデントなどには、とにかく気をつけていただければと願うばかりです。

電車もイイけどやっぱりSLの存在感は違いますね。
終点の千頭から山奥に入った所に寸又峡温泉があります。

すでに57年近くになるんですね。
リアルタイムでテレビ放映されたのを見た記憶が朧げですがあります。
後にビートたけしが、金嬉老役でドラマに出演していましたね。
私は差別や偏見が嫌いな性格なので金嬉老には同情しますね。
旅館で人質を取って立てこもりましたけど人質には被害を加えることはなかったみたいです。
ウィキペディアによると、借金返済を求められ暴力団員二名（内一名は未成年）を射殺したようです。
真相が分からず言い争うつもりもありませんが、どの国の人間でも、自分の行動には責任が伴う、とは思います。
元北鉄6000系「あかいし」。カルダン駆動を生かせれば2両運転が可能だったのに⋯(この時はトレーラー扱い)。
電圧の関係で電装解除するしかなかったようです。
