- "Silver Lady" is a popular single by David Soul. It was written by Tony Macaulay and Geoff Stephens and produced by Macaulay. It was released in 1977 and reached number one in the UK Singles Chart.
I LOVED his performance as 1 of our Antagonists in the 2nd Dirty Harry film "Magnum Force" (1973) which also had my beloved friend Hal Holbrook as our main villain

I was sorry to see that David Soul died the other day. I can remember this song well as it was a top 5 hit in Australia the year my parents split up and I went with my mother and moved to a very quiet country area. There was not much to do but listen to music as a 10 year old with no kids around. He was also in the TV series Salem's Lot in 1979, I can remember watching it and thought it was scary as hell ! He also had a number 1 hit in Australia the previous year with "Don't Give Up On Us", it was number one in almost every country. Thanks for the memory, I hadn't thought of this song in a long time.
Ah yes I forgot he was in Salem's Lot. Starsky and Hutch was my favourite show then. I even bought one of those cardigans that Starsky wore in the show.
