@@leahbateman5545as a mom, even if I thought my kid was faking it, I couldn’t go to work and take my kids phone with me. Idk if it’s the area we are in, but I’d be checking in on them all the time. My youngest is in grade 3 and in grade 1 he went an entire week sick. In the mornings he felt awful but seemed to feel better throughout the day. Turns out he was being horribly bullied. Once that was taken care of, he felt better. The anxiety he gets sometimes is very overwhelming. Idk, even if one of my kids is “faking it”, I look at it as they need a mental health day the same as any of us do. Even though they’re kids they still get stressed and need to learn how to deal with it. Sending them into school when they’re working through something can exacerbate the problem.

My dr threatened to call CPS on my parents cos I had really bad strep and my parents should have brought me in sooner. The night before I developed the tiniest of sore throats. I was still skating around with it. It's like when you yell too much. Barely noticeable. I woke up that morning barely able to talk my dad came in, woke me up, heard me try to talk and immediately said go back to sleep ill wake you for a drs appt. Like that couldn't have acted sooner other than taking me to the ER an hr before my drs office opened/2hrs before my appt. Once I could talk the dr asked me questions. Seemed to think I was lying about not feeling horrible.
