Went to see you 4 times before I bought an album. I just thought you were great energy performers. Now I see the music progression. You guys are great. Also a random night on the beer til 4.30am with you guys four years ago has become a great memory.... I never knew you were that good. Battery and AC-DC covers at firevolt stunned me. Now bought all albums and ep on its way. You guys are fuckin awesome! Thanks for the stick and pick by the way. I'll come jump about in the front of the gigs everytime you come to the UK

Adam, as an old punk rocker from Glasgow, can I ask you a huge 'off-topic' question, please, mate? You lads would be classed as first generation punks if you'd appeared in the 1970's. Your superb sound, your stage presence and attitude has 'punk metal' written all over it :) .
With that in mind, there's a classic Sex Pistols song that Paul Cook and Steve Jones wrote for Sid Vicious when he got arrested and locked up in prison and it's called 'Silly Thing'. If any band today was born to cover that song then it's definitely Royal Republic, it actually sounds like one of your superb tracks :) .
Right now in 2023 Generation Sex have formed, i.e., the Sex Pistols/Generation X and they play it to this day. Can we please have a Royal Republic version of it too because the ol' punk rocker here knows that your version woulds be absolutely epic :) ?

I'm no expert in terms of recording songs... But couldn't you just record the song again? Why wasn't it possible?
It will never feel the same again, and specifics are rarely written down
There's two things to consider:
1.) Time investment. A song like that, even being a "demo", could take 40-60 hours to record, produce and arrange.
2.) It won't sound the same. Us musicians get attached to the sounds and subtle nuances from certain takes. Chances are good they already fell in love with the parts and had no desire to recapture the magic when it was already there.
The song sounds great and I'm glad that they didn't re-record it, because it's a great story and gives the song a whole new perspective now.
