I have over 40 Revlon lipsticks in different formulas. Love Pink Velvet, Smoky Rose, and relish every color I have in the discontinued shine formula including Glazed Mauve, nude illuminator, glossed up rose and so sleek pink. I swatched 11 on my channel when they came out because I couldn’t believe they weren’t a cult favorite! It took almost three years for them to become viral hits! Revlon’s Pick me up - new super lustrous matte shade is very similar to pillow talk medium. Case is beautiful too.

I love Revlon Super Lustrous Shine lippies, my favorite is Fire and Ice. I was sad when all the drug stores stopped carrying them. I have a bunch of colors but Fire and Ice is the one i repurchase a ton. I also like your Milani fav in the color 140 Crave. I want to try the Maybelline. I'm a drugstore kind of 75-year-old. I love this series!

I always enjoy your lipstick videos. I think we have similar taste in colors. My favorites, besides Varnished rosewood and the other shades in that discontinued line, are Revlon glazed mauve and rum raisin, plus revlon creme Desert Escape; Laura Geller peach Bellini, Fenty Glazed for a peachy color,‘ Em cosmetics Venetian Rose, plus a few higher end ones like Surratt Eglantine, By Terry Dare to Bare (rose scented), and a light red by Chantecaille called Dahlia.

Loved this video, Tamara! I would also like to mention the Buxom Full-On Plumping Lip Polishes. They are glosses & a great alternative to lipsticks. Lots of colors! OMGGG Rum raisin! I wore that allll the time but forgot about it! I think the drugstore lipsticks are much better, Revlon and Maybelline. I have tried high end brands but I have gone back to these two brands , they are the best. I love Mica, sandstone and now I’ll have to get the rum lol. Can’t wait to see your cottage! So exciting!💕

Hi Tamara, loved this video. I am soooo jealous of your new digs! What a magnificent area. I had to move from the east coast to Nevada 3 years ago since the children and grandchildren moved here and I couldn't remain alone where I was. The only good thing about the move is being with my family. I so miss all the green and oh, the smell of grass being cut! .......The doggies are adorable. I can't wait to see the cottage finished and then, where you chose to live permantly.

I have so many of the same brands. Love the Milani Matte formula and I know how much you adore Lisa E lipsticks. Yes it would be nice if they wouldn't print everything so small, lol. Even with my reading glasses I have a hard time 😉. Have a wonderful week my beautiful friend!

Thank you for the lipstick reviews. Revlon used to make a lipstick with SPF that I loved but it was discontinued. If you have any SPF lipstick recommendations, I would love to see them.
I just discovered the Milani retractable lipliners and I think they are better than high end lipliners. The new Rimmel lipliners are very nice too.

Hi Tamara I love a bullet lipstick. I stopped wearing them during the time of mask wearing, but I'm back to loving them again. I have quite a bit of trouble finding shades that really suit me however and that hugely impacts which brands/formulas work best for me. I'm super cool toned with a very purple/mauve undertone to my natural liptone and anything with warmth in the undertone pulls orange/peachy on me - no matter whether it's labelled as pink, rose or mauve and looks like those shades in the bullet or other people. For that reason Nars is a brand I tend to find good shades from, as they really do make cooler toned shades without any warmth/orange in the mixture (damage is a favourite). I also love the UD backtalk shade - it's a beautiful mauve. Surprisingly the Elf lipstick in effortless works really well on me - great formula at a decent price. A favourite nude is from Lancome in beige opale - looks nude without pulling peachy. I do like the Tarte juicy solid glosses as shown, but bare minerals made my favourite glosses for years as they're a really comfortable formula. I can't risk buying lipsticks online without swatching or trying on, as my lip colour changes the shade so much eg Gucci lip products whether taupe, mauve or rose all look orange on me within 60 seconds (the assistant was amazed by how much they changed colour on me). I had similar issues with Tom Ford when I tried some of theirs on. I just can't risk buying LE etc at that price with the knowledge I have so many difficulties finding shades that actually look good on me. best wishes.

Thank you for sharing and I so agree! Lipsticks are the one cosmetic that looks the most different on everyone. Like you...so many product pull too orange/warm and just doesn't go with my coloring...which is why I was SO surprised how much i enjoyed Empower...but only in the summer when i have a bit more warmth to my skin tone. ❤️
The cottage will look really nice with it done with the high ceiling.
The high ceilings and natural light really make is feel so much more spacious than it actually is! So exciting to be able to witness the transformation! ❤️
I love lipstick too! I wear a full face of makeup 3 days a week max….the rest of the week, just lipstick. Whether I am walking my dog, doing dishes, watching videos…I have color on my lips. Like you, it makes me happy. Instantly brightens my complexion and eyes. I don’t think I can pick a favorite. It’s amazing how many shades can be similar (I have a lot of rosey browns, mauves, pinks, pinky reds, blue reds, wines, plums - yikes) yet they are slightly different and each have its place. I think I am the Carrie Bradshaw of lipstick. In fact, bought another tube today at the grocery store! Rimmel shade 05, Rosetta Rouge and sort of like the Bobbi Brown Give a Fig? Maybe a bit bolder but so pretty! Catskills cottage will be so fun! Beautiful views!

I’m loving the Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk , I have the mini and planning on getting more of her lip products. It stays so good all day !!! Also bought the Mario lip liner and it feels like suede on my lips 👄!!!
I also use drugstore brands, but don’t compare with the Mario or CT….😅 I’m getting addicted to high end lip liners …. The long lasting stay is really worth it for me, since I’m always sipping water, coffee or tea.
I’ve considered getting ‘lip blushing’ done since my lips are getting thinner with age, but it’s a big decision, so I’m splurging on lip products instead 😂.
Luxury Lipsticks are truly next level. Interesting...I've never heard of lip blushing...now I'm curious!

I loved this video. I have all those lipsticks. I just bought cherries in the snow. Unfortunately I think at 65, it’s too much for me. Are are still beautiful…but wow, beautiful with the dark hair

I love your eyebrow color, I have similar coloring to you both skin and hair I've never been able to find a brow gel that is a true gray, and that's what your brows look like, a beautiful gray. Most estheticians look at me curiously when I ask if they can dye my brows grey. They always seem to think brown would look better. I'll try the NYX for now and see how it goes. Would love to know if anyone has any suggestions.
Interestingly enough...I actaully don't have any grey in my brows...yet. So the taupe is just the right cool tone shade for me. With my silver hair, brown is just too deep and too warm.
@susandaugherty8816 I am currently growing out my grey, and I had a pro tell me that we should use the same brow color as our original hair color. I'm giving it a try, and so far, it has worked. Just a thought.
Hi just an FYI, I bit the bullet and bought the new hourglass pallette, I got one with 3 new shades and the lightest. It is so beautiful. I used it even as my eyeshadow. The bronzer pulls neutral on me so happy to say.

The cottage is very cute. Good luck on your new area. I don't get the love for the Lisa Eldridge lipsticks. They all look alike to me. In fact, all of the colors started to look alike no matter the brand. I liked that last gloss because it was not your normal choice. Very pretty nude.

Thank you Paulette! I used Persona Identity palette. I used Charming (meed brown matte) in the transition, Seductive (cool taupe shimmer) on the inner half of the lid, Goddess (bronze shimmer) on the outer half of the lid, and Humble (cream matte) on the brow bone.
Continues I can’t believe how many lipsticks I have now. I don’t buy high end because in Canada they cost a lot more because of our dollar. Like you lipstick is my favourite. I am happy for your move, it is always lifting. Hugs Bea

If I have a drugstore favorite I would say it's L'oreal Color Satin shade 176. I did try the Maybelline superstay ink crayon, but actually found that one had the unpleasant Playdoh scent and unbearable dryness; I discarded it after only a few uses.
I went to buy one of the Merit lipsticks and actually swatched the Fashion shade, but went for the KVD liquid lipstick that was on sale instead. I should have gone with the Merit; it is lovely and reminded me of a Bobbi Brown shade I love.
Which brings me to my current favorite higher end brand, Bobbi Brown, of which I own several, including multiples of my favorite shade and formula, Ruby. I used to favor the Marc Jacobs bullet lipsticks, but that brand has vanished until 2025.
For liquid lipsticks, my favorite is the Chanel Duo liquid lipstick -- if you haven't tried them, you should. They are unique and long-lasting.

Thank you Susan! The Give a Fig is a bit hard to descibe...a slightly warm pink red? And lipstick is the one product that looks different on everyone, depends so much on our lip pigmentation to start with.

Although I've always been fascinated by Tiny Homes...I never really planned or intended to live in a Tiny Home...they just sort of keep appearing in my life. And so much more affordable for me. I do enjoy the simplicity and challenge of living in.a tiny home, but do sometimes miss the space. This one is likely to be somewhat "temporary" as I explore the area. But tha's what I said about my last cottage and I was there 8 years LOL.

Winter's can be so hard on our skin! The City Beauty Lip Gloss is quite hydrating and protective. They also have a lip oil to use at night that's lovely. Hope this helps!

I purchased the L’Oréal Paris Glow Paradise Balm in Mulberry Bliss and I love it. I want to try the Revlon Rum Raisen…….. but your advice please. My lifetime favorite lip stick ever, was Laura Mercier Fresh Brown, chosen for me by my son’s gal pal, Sarah Bruecker, former owner of “Blush”, Milwaukee cosmetic and beauty salon. She died in a house fire in 2013. 💔 I always wore her choice, especially in memoriam. Yes, I had ONE lipstick tube only. They discontinued it a couple years ago. 😢 Can you recommend something close? (Not overloaded but own maybe 15 sticks, now, but nothing came close)
How tragic! If you like Mulberry Bliss you might also enjoy Revlon Rose Velvet. I'm not familiar with the other lipsticks you mentioned so difficult to make recommendations. But Lisa Eldridge does a really great job describing her shades and showing shades on models with different skin tones on her website which is really helpful in finding a shade.

The foot print is actually a bit smaller than my previous cottage, but with the vaulted ceilings and loft feels quite spacious...and plenty of storage. As far as lipsticks...guilty of buying the same or similar shades over and over LOL. We love what we love! ❤️
