The Root got a chance to chat with Estelle to discuss fearlessness, how she stands in her truth, and naturally, to share some “food for thought.”
You know i don't like it when people spam the comment's of every Estelle video with "Garnet :D". Yet as a fellow Steven Universe fan i'm conflicted. I feel i've learned to respect Estelle for who she is as a person, and not just a voice actress. But i'd be lying if i said i would've discovered her without researching SU. I feel like SU has given her more recognition as an artist, but i don't think that it justifies the spam.

What I see? Estelle herself. as a Steven Universe fan, I respect her as a person! I didnt know she voiced Garnet at the time i was first watching SU.. but i loved her, then when i realized she voiced Garnet.. i was like.. One of my fave singers iss bacck!

There's a reason why everyone is talking about SU, it's just it sounds like Garnets voice, edited and everything. Add the animation and we got a SU episode. It's really hard to ignore. Some people just noticing this is her normal voice too🙄
