The fuel pressure regulator is a fix it now not later part. It's adding gas to your oil, washing your piston rings, and will eventually thin the oil enough to destroy the engine bearings. For now, the engine sounds nice and quiet still. Change the FPR asap. Super easy to do, and the part is $10 on ebay.
I suggest checking out the IAC (idle air control valve). It's on the right side of the throttle body with a 3-wire plug. It allows the car to start and idle since the throttle plate on these engines is manual.
Thank you very much for this information. I did replace that and it helped quite a bit. It still has the issue with stumbling and cutting out along with the hard starting though. I will make an update video on it👍
