Oliver272's 'The Fifth Doctor regenerates except the year is 2010' makes me laugh for Five's final word(s) being "Adric?" before regenerating but this beautiful piece makes me want to cry when he said "Romana's always telling me I need a holiday!" I just got taken back to my first memory of Classic Who - the Fourth Doctor, Romana and K9 on the beach in Part 1 of The Leisure Hive. This was brilliant, thank you.
I remember this like it was yesterday! There'd been rumours of course, but none of us actually believed Pat would return to play the Sixth Doctor. Then they had the wonderful Anniversary year with him and Frazer back, before that completely off-the-wall Bi-Generation which, of course, is now an integral part of the show.
Yeah it did sorta devalue the future episodes set on earth. Just to think the Sixth Doctor had been on earth the whole time, could’ve stepped in if he wanted to! I guess it didn’t really matter, the show would be cancelled only a few years later. Shame it still hasn’t come back.
Amazing video, you maybe can do another similar video with Sylvester McCoy’s Doctor regenerating into Tom Baker’s Doctor based on early ideas of the 1996 movie and the unmade 30th Anniversary story, the Dark Dimension and bi-generate into Paul McGann or Richard Griffiths
To ret con season 6B to become season 22 should be punishable by exile not to mention to season 19/20 costume Peter shouldn’t be wearing in season 21 🤯🤯🤯🤓
@@timrob12 Fair point, that would make much more sense, as it would leave the viewers wondering what other surprises await them as they watch the episode.
Seeing as this is an alternative timeline, does this mean that Peter Davison’s tenure would have started a little earlier (say, 1981-1982, shortly after Tom Baker left), or would he have really been The Fifth Doctor for only one season (1982), before Pat would take over for three 20th anniversary specials as The Sixth Doctor and then bi-generate into Colin Baker (making him The Seventh Doctor)? Either way, great concept based on the idea of Sydney Newman bringing back Troughton as Colin’s successor. As 1983 marked the 20th Anniversary of Doctor Who, here’s a guess as to what the airdates for the specials would be: Special 1: “Highland Homecoming”: 11/26/1983 Special 2: “Shipwrecked In Time”: 12/3/1983 Special 3: “Gallifrey Gamble”: 12/10/1983 Overall, nice job on the video!!
Yep, specially bc 5’s regeneration was all colorful like 13’s (also the War Master’s regeneration was like that too). Come to think of it, there’s a lot of similarities between 5 and 13, they’re both blonde, young attractive Doctors with a bit more passive/lovely personality, a crowded TARDIS, and a Master with a Tissue Compression device to fight against.
The doctor worked for the Celestial Intervention Agency between The War Games and Spearhead From Space carrying missions with his mind being wiped after many of these.
An attempt at explaining the Troughton paradox in the Five Doctors? It's interesting, but I'm pretty sure Colin would say this is fake news. After all, he's the last legitimate heir of the original line of real Doctors, the rest are just a line of pretenders from a guy with a wig. 🙃
Five Doctors Powers Of Gallifrey 60th celebrations special a mixture of legends of melding around in space and time leads to a remarkable new story of a new doctor who can be any of his favourite Doctors a shape of things to come a new regeneration factor of unimaginable process, shape shifting abilities from one doctor to another. 9 to 15 faces and a few favourites from an animated past?
Do you have pitches or synopses for these specials in your head that you can share? 🤓 Also, can you do a lost Doctor Who/Power Rangers crossover next? Maybe SPD with Ninth? MMPR with Seventh? In Space with Eighth? Or anything else that may “exist” out there. 😉
The plots for the specials were basically constructed from clips that fit together. Highland Homecoming goes the same way as The Star Beast, however Sontarans replace The Wrath Warriors and their prisoner replaces The Meep. Te Scottish poet Robert Burns is also part of the story, which was done because the 2nd Doctor mentioned Robert Burns to Jamie at the end of Underwater Menace. Also, the TARDIS Flight Data reading Irvine, Scotland was basically a way to introduce him because before poetry, Burns moved to Irvine and worked as a flax-dresser in a heckling shop which got burned down due to a candle during a new year celebration, so in the episode the TARDIS crashing would’ve been the reason the candle causes the fire. Jamie would’ve also worked as a flax-dresser in the same shop, reason him and the Doctor reunites. Shipwrecked in Time would go the same way as the Two Doctors, but without 6 and Peri, with some plot elements from Wild Blue Yonder. Gallifrey Gamble would also go the same as The Giggle, but having the location be Gallifrey instead of Earth. I haven’t fully thought out everything else, but the Brigadier, Zoe and Leela return also.
Funny you should mention a Doctor Who/Power Rangers crossover! While both series have never done a crossover (although a BOOM! Comics PR/DW crossover would totally rock!), Gallifrey’s coordinates were referenced in an episode of Lost Galaxy, so it’s possible that Doctor Who and Power Rangers could exist in the same universe!

Funnily enough, Sydney Newman himself (allegedly) suggested Troughton succeed Colin Baker... in 1987.
Yea I actually asked RTD on Instagram if Sidney Newmans suggestion influenced his decision to bring David Tennant back. He didn't reply though
This was the precept of the entire UA-cam video, I assumed
@@Paulrogerson1careful, you say anything critical of Russell and he’ll block you.
@H3XGames nah not being critical he probably just didn't have the time to reply
RTD was probably too busy calling us longterm fans racist for not bothering to watch the Christmas special to answer your question.
Doctor Who is so mad, because if someone had made this two years ago it would be unhinged but now it's a reference. Great work!
Nice move there at 2:13: Michael Gough appearing as Hedin from "Arc of Infinity" accompanied by his voice from "The Celestial Toymaker".
Aftermath timeline where Tom baker left after season 17 and shada be his swansong story and season 18 starts with Davison’s doctor
Okay but can we talk about how the VFX here are genuinely amazing?
In this timeline do we have Anthony Ainley dancing to Rasputin? Because if so, I need to find my way there.
He didn't even know they were recording. He just does that.
I'm sure Peter Davison wouldn't have minded regenerating back into his favourite Doctor lol

@@chicagocinematic1995 Colin was an absolute delight! I treasure every moment of his tenure as the Doctor.

That first comment was going so well. Then the OP mentions bigeneration ...
Ah man, this is such a fun idea! You've brilliantly captured the spirit of it, especially with those three specials. Well done!

I love this detail in the show Jamie also got his memory wiped
Now they are specials that I would have liked to have seen.
Incredible work, this is so cool and works really well! Amazing work loved it
One minor improvement that could be made is recolouring Troughton's hair so it stays a consistent shade of grey/black between different clips.
Oh shit this works so well cuz Jodie is the 5th of new who and Tennant is the 2nd.
Ironic
The short haired blondie and the Scotsman
Does that make john hurt peter crushing?
@@plantainsame2049 absolutely

So, does this episode then have Richard Hurndall amongst the Guardians of the Edge?
We’ll go with yes for Richard Hurndall, and add Troughton to the mix while we’re at it!
@@DoctorDisco1963 In my opinion, Troughton should be missing there as he makes a surprise cameo at the end.

I had this very idea a month ago. Except it would be Sylvester McCoy regenerating into Tom Baker in 1993.

WE NEED more videos like this!!
So THAT'S where the 'season 6b' Doctor seen in the two doctors came from
The doctor worked for the Celestial Intervention Agency between The War Games and Spearhead From Space carrying missions with his mind being wiped after many of these.
I like the ending theme! Very Doctor Who despite being only the first few seconds repeating.
The ending theme was actually made by this user, you can listen to the whole thing - ua-cam.com/video/zNSQY4YeF9k/v-deo.htmlsi=_PyKcu_mzf-D_XvJ
Which clips are used for the regeneration?
Fantastic!
The BBC announcer sounds so sullen and depressed. Looks like it was written by Terrance Dicks or Robert Holmes.
And then script edited by Eric Saward.
