@@SpaceWizardCosplay I'm caught up with the manga. But I still watch the anime because I suck at reading manga. I didn't even notice Gojou fapping after the love hotel when I was reading.
Gonna miss your my dress up darling content Chibi. That was a perfect ending to the season. Gonna buy the manga to support the series. It was a great ride. Don't be sad that it's over, be happy that it happened.
Back in episode 4, when Gojou was despairing, he said something like "I just totally half-ass everything". We've realized since that that was just his fear talking; if anything, his problem is that he, well, over-asses things - he pays full attention, overcommits to projects, sees and cares about tiny details. We've also learned that half-assing things is actually Marin's problem: she's sloppy about the details in games and cooking, loves the beach and pool without bothering to learn how to swim, leaves studying and homework until the last minute, and generally bulls through everything on raw enthusiasm and charisma. It makes their dynamic work really well, and really emphasizes how great they are together and for each other. I'm going to miss this show. I picked up the manga yesterday, the day after the finale aired, and within six hours had finished the available chapters, so at least I've got something slightly sooner than the second season to wait for again? At any rate, I'm not sure there isn't enough material for a second season already; it'd need some decompression from just a strict chapter count, but a) there are enough rich storylines to do that on, and b) I certainly trust this anime staff to do that work. I'm not going to spoil anything, but next season will be a good ride.
I really liked the fireworks scene because he really realized how much Marin has opened the world for me, he's experienced so much because of her and I'm so happy she eventually told him they'll got to lots more together next year.
Honestly, this season has been the perfect example of quality over quantity for me. Not many shows even caught my interest this season. But I can't say I didn't think of this season fondly due to the fact of how well Dress up Darling captivated my with it's characters and story. Currently reading the manga now that it's over! I look forward to the day we can see Marin bouncing and smiling for us again in all her glory.
There is actually technically enough manga chapters to adapt into a season 2 its just that if it were then the anime would be basically completely caught up to the manga which would hinder future projects for the series. The manga is also bi-weekly so it takes a bit longer for chapters to come out so while it will take a while for a season 2 to come out it wont be too long as i expect it to be at earliest fall 2023. None the less Cloverworks did such a phenomenal job of adapting the manga, so much better than I ever could have hoped, and I can only hope that the series continues to thrive. Gojo and Marin's chemistry is amazing and I can wait to see more of this series in the future.
Honestly this one shot up to one of my favorite romcoms ever. Marin alone is enough to put it really high up with how charismatic and funny she is,but Gojo development, their development as a couple and the amazing production put it on top, plus this series likes to break romcom cliches so that’s also a plus. You can be sure that I’m diving straight to the manga,it’s been a couple hours and I’m already suffering from Marin abstinence.
What a satisfying conclusion, this anime caught me by surprise I wasn't even planning on watching it but here I am waiting for a second season. The winter season is wrapping up I can't wait to see what's store for us this spring.
I'm used to underwhelming season finales in shows, but both Live Action and animated, both 86 and DUD _really_ hit it on the mark with their final episodes.
This anime definately means a lot to me. It might not be relateable to me per se, but it made my life brighter in a very dark world we are living in right now. It was there when I needed it most.
Marin looked the best in that Yukata out of all the cosplays no cap and this was such a great way to end it such great vibes throughout with that "I love you" at the end being the perfect cherry on top
Def better than snafu "i really like you" 😆 thats English dubbed as well but in japan it was "Ily". At least we didn't have to wait like 15 million yrs. For a conclusion with this series.
Already started reading the manga. Ain't no way Im waiting for a season 2. Going to buy the volumes as soon as I start seeing them pop up in my bookstore
cloverwork literally gave us some of the best waifus. Zero two, Mai Sakurajima , Rio Futaba , All the girls from Horimiya and now Marin and Sajuna . They officially the #1 waifu studio at this point
I really liked the parallel /callback to the train scene earlier in the show. Instead of Gojo admitting how he felt to Marin and then falling asleep, this time we got Marin admitting how she felt to Gojo ....(with Gojo still falling asleep lol.) Overall, it was my favorite winter anime this season and I always looked forward to it every Saturday. Hopefully, like you said with the popularity and positivity around the show it will get a season 2.
For how down hysterically the Story could be, it was surprising wholesome at a lot of times. I'm gonna miss having this show around to look forward to at every Saturday evening. At the plus side, Spy X Family is finally coming out, along with a new season of Kaguya, Komi, and the Quintessential Movie so I probably shouldn't complain much.
A second season is not what we want but what we need, this was an awesome anime 💯💯 I've never usually been a fan of these type of genre but My Dress up Darling really made me fell in love with its story and characters, it was an awesome show and I can't wait for more 🙏
I recently just binge-read the manga and there is a reference to episode 11 in later chapters, but it hasn't been talked about. Also, surprisingly, the fan service after S1 is little to non-existent in the manga so that's kinda of a +
Relating to gojo so much and also having someone like marin in my life, It was fun to watch, like not knowing what to expect yet a person being there to support through all the hard times and also celebrating the joyous moments together. I really loved the series as a whole, their personal development and also as a couple along with the side characters too. Didn't feel it was dragged and with a banger OP and ED. Definitely winter anime of the season. Well so long, hope s2 comes around fast, see you all in next chibi video. Adios.
Like Marin I enjoy sitting on the beach looking at the waves and the sun reflecting off the ocean. But I can swim. Just watch out for sharp broken shells and anything else that will hurt your feet. Learned that the hard way the last time lol. Miss the ocean so much being in a landlocked state high up in the mountains. Just love the atmosphere and feels from this anime. I related to the moment when Marin shows up at the festival in a yukata and asks Gojo jokingly if he is a guy who likes the look of girls napes (back of neck). " I'm Deffo gonna be showing off the nape of my neck!" Yes its beautiful and we like it. This show is gold. Gonna miss it now its done.
Just finished this and it was a really Beautiful Anime. The last part, reminded me of one of my youth relationship that we did exactly what Marin and Gojo were doing. Just speaking to the phone lying in bed, just hearing our voices until one of us pass out... Good times indeed. So beautiful... Damn 😄
No anime, LN, manga or web novel is perfect, but this was pretty close to it. Movie studio quality attention to detail in 30 min. That horror mashup was the best sequence in this entire series, talk about FAN SERVICE, and Gojo just fixated on the wardrobe and FX. Loved it. The fireworks scene was reminiscent of A silent voice with what Gojo was describing where shoko could only feel them, and weathering with you with the fly through of the fireworks. Lovely. I'll wait as long as necessary for a season 2 but a few OVAs better come out before season 2 airs just for some addition cut content of the costume making and grandpas life advice lessons. If the manga series ends without having Marin, ju-ju and her sister dressed as hina dolls in an announced cosplay event to help promote the shop because Grandpa is sick and needs the money to pay bills, or some derivative thereof, then I will be disappointed. And Gojo says beautiful to Marin in the most sincere way possible to her face. I'm an anime watcher only so I dont know if that happned yet in the maga or not.
I do not watch a lot of anime but this one completely took me by surprise, I loved it ! I hope that in the future, Gojo will get to make a few more friends, I think it’d help him have a better grasp of his actual feelings towards Marin, who’s at the same time his first friend and first love interest.
About episode 11, during one of their "dates" around chapter 64 or 65, Gojo will talk about something being grabbed in the waist in reference to recent festival arc but Marin will remember the scene from episode 11. It's not much, but it's a cute scene
This was the perfect ending of a season, imo ;p Waiting for season 2 now... Btw, they used 39 chapters of 73 released, so... next year they could already start making season 2 ;p
What a good way to end a first season. With her confessing even though our boy does not hear it. He does feel the same way about her. You could say that they are already a couple but not officially. I really bursted out laughing when during that firework scene when that moment was so romantic then Marin stuck her tongue out because that so her thing to do. XD Given the series popularity S2 is not matter of if but when and I am fine with waiting. One of my fav line in series is Mama when to the bank and in this episode mama's gonna get that check.
I haven't seen someone answer it here yet but in regards to everything that happened at the Love Hotel, it will be acknowledged down the line. Not really spoiler, but Marin is mostly fine with it but Gojo doesn't want to be put on another uncomfortable situation like that again. So for his sake, Marin agreed to be even WAY more considerate of our poor boi. Something like: "Please double check the place." "Its really a studio this time my guy! Still upset about last time?" "YES!" "Pfft, totally my bad! Sorry."
9:40 trust me, the art of the manga is just as good, if not even better than the anime. The manga set such a high bar that I was surprised the anime was drawn so well.
Wholesome to the max. The sheer worldbuilding with the included anime and now horror films is so great, I don't remember anything near as good/detailed/fun in prior anime. I'm on board for their future, hopefully the mangaka doesn't get the weebs putting pressure on them to rush more content.
I could see a season 2 next year. There isn't a ton of action sequences so animating is probably a bit less stressful I'd hope and by next year there will definetley be enough chapters so I'd give it a year at least
This anime has done what i tought was impossible to this day : Making me love LOVE hahaha I hope this anime comeback to us in 2-3 years and the mangaka can enjoy the fruits of their work.
@@t.n.m7577 No. The only thing skipped from the manga is Marins dad being at home and him interacting some with her. In this episode that whole interaction is summed up as her talking with him on the phone.
@@t.n.m7577 , the mangaka just does the time skip. They can always show a flashback about them talking about it or what happened afterwards later in the manga. But the story basically jumped from the beginning of summer vacation to the end of summer vacation after the love hotel incident. I think they are implied to have not seen each other as much in person during that time. Marin working more and Gojo working on his hina dolls. And Marin hanging out with her female friends. I think it's sort of being implied that they were too embarrassed to actually discuss what happened at the love hotel and kind of avoided each other for a few weeks
Man that ending really hit me. I miss the feeling of falling asleep to the person you love on the phone. This has been such a wholesome series. We all need a Marin in life. A GOAT Best Girl
I genuinely think there actually is enough content to be adapted for a season 2 as of now I finished reading all of it today and volume 6-9 has a lot of content to be adapted And also in season 1 they left out a couple minor story parts and characters so if they adapt it fully, maybe add a bit more i think there is enough for a season 2 But either way im glad i caught up to the manga because holy hell it slaps
Finally it’s over And bro regarding what happened in the last episode I can assure u nothing will happen not even a conversation so don’t get your hopes so high
I'm not sad that it's ending for good like many animes I've watched in the past, infact I'm actually happy that the fact there will be a potential season 2 in the future because this show is definitely getting a 10 star on MAL along with the manga.
The horror movie thing, in the manga, was all in chapter 39 (including the I love you). They split the movie itself off and inserted it in chapter 37. My guess is that they wanted to have the scene after the ending but having the horror movie scene in there would have made it too long, so they moved it where it kind of made sense, but they already had done the scenes for chapter 37 and didn't adjust them. So we end up with that weird thing where Gojo goes back to having the ribbons in his hands and Marin puts the maid thing back on on her head after the movie.
I love this show. I look forward to seeing the manga for the second half of the show. I read up to the first half. I think they might of skipped chapters to get to this part of the story for a good finale with the festival and fireworks.
after episode 10 i started reading the manga and even though i liked the last two episodes I noticed how many scenes and dialog they cut; one major thing I realized was that they cut Marin's dad that was introduced in the manga meanwhile in the anime he was just mentioned
Cloverworks brought their A game this time. When they have a healthy production schedule they knock it out of the park. As for the finale I would say that it was nice. The whole anime was chill. I wasn't crazy about it but it was nice to see a show on cosplay. I am actually surprised that a show on cosplay took this long to make. This should have come out around 2015.
What healthy production schedule? They always get bombarded with Multiple projects and bad to terrible schedules because of ANIPLEX. Even tho the staff is getting overworked to death. They still give us Quality
I don't remember what chapter this last episode was (39 does sound about right though) but there is definitely enough content for a season 2 as we are, I believe, on chapter 77 or 78 right now.
I've never gave an anime a "no doubt, no regret 10/10", but this show deserved it. When an anime adaptation is better than a manga and even went further beyond than what the source material offered, that's when you know you have a miracle in your hands. A true rare gem in the long span of anime that have been released.
My Dress up Darling was easily my number two anime of this season, but all good things must come to an end; let's just hope Marin and Gojo get together next season 🤗
Gonna be serious. When Gojo and Marin staring into each other's eyes, I thought, wanted and hoped they were going to confess their feelings and express it with a kiss. They broke every other cliché in this series so why not go out with a bang.
I believe Gojo and Marin are two peas in a pod. Gojo losing his Parents and living his whole life as a shut in honing his Hina Doll craft and apart from going to school he had no one to talk to him. Marin lost her Mother and her Father is always working abroad and has no time for her so Marin even though how cheerful she is,when she is with her friends she feels emotionally alone and isolated and meeting Gojo gave her the spark that she always wanted and likewise Marin gave Gojo the spark into being accepted into society and much more. Also since Gojo is a shut in he had never visited the beach in his entire life before Marin invited him so it's clear to me he cannot swim and even though Marin has friends she felt vulnerable knowing the fact that no one taught her how to swim. Gojo and Marin are very much alike and it's for this very reason that defines them as the Perfect Couple.
I don't think there is a lack of content. It's more there isn't a good ending point for a season 2. we ended on ch 39. Imo the next best stopping point is 63. We are currently at chapter 73 which is the middle of an arc. If we want to adapt another 39 chapters it'd be chapter 78. So 5 more chapters for a bi weekly series(?). However some people are complaining about the pacing of the current arc. So who knows how'd that play into adapting it, not sure if JP fans are as well or it's just the western/english speaking fans complaining about it. I think if a second season was announced shortly after, maybe if the author supervised it we could make 63 an ending point. Otherwise yeah we'd have to wait for this arc to end to maybe get a second season.
If we are talking about the scene in episode 11, then from what it looks like they really avoide that conversation for now. But there were instances where they went back to that scene on their own, but not in the way you might think XD But I do have to say that the scene in episode 11 is more intense in the anime, than in the manga
Chibi i don't think we will have to wait that long. The first Season coverd 39 Chapters. Currently there are 74 Chapters out. I guess they wait until the End of the Year and then we will get the Season 2 announcement for next Year.
How do you feel about this conclusion
Loved it
It left me with one question, Chibi: season 2 when?
Wished he responded to the I love you! T-T otherwise give me season two
This is a seinen series. It's in a seinen publication. And they had a bit of a time skip of about a month between last episode and this one.
Conclusion was so good looking and I loved it no complaints really
It almost felt like her "See you later" was aimed at the audience. It really made me feel warm inside.

Man that ending really hit me. I miss the feeling of falling asleep to the person you love on the phone. This has been such a wholesome series. We all need a Marin in life. A GOAT Best Girl
I genuinely think there actually is enough content to be adapted for a season 2 as of now
I finished reading all of it today and volume 6-9 has a lot of content to be adapted
And also in season 1 they left out a couple minor story parts and characters so if they adapt it fully, maybe add a bit more i think there is enough for a season 2
But either way im glad i caught up to the manga because holy hell it slaps
Hey chibi u planning on making an mha vid later this week? The chapter is surprisingly a big step up from last week's chapter.
Please dont mess up season 2 like pnl. hoping for a s2 announcement soon
I thought that this was a great finale. Music was really on point and this was probably my favorite episode. Super fun and wholesome!
Finally it’s over
And bro regarding what happened in the last episode I can assure u nothing will happen not even a conversation so don’t get your hopes so high
I'm not sad that it's ending for good like many animes I've watched in the past, infact I'm actually happy that the fact there will be a potential season 2 in the future because this show is definitely getting a 10 star on MAL along with the manga.
I knew she will say it before the end of the season, i didn't expected such a wholesome way.
Now waits for your spring anime 2022 video
Farewell for now my Dress up Darling ! And that confession was so cute
Hope you're doing well mate!
The series is still on going. So we'll see how things go. I'm so excited. 😆❤️❤️
Amazing anime, this one really deserves atleast 1 more season.
I need a season 2!!!
I’ll wait
I love this show. I look forward to seeing the manga for the second half of the show. I read up to the first half. I think they might of skipped chapters to get to this part of the story for a good finale with the festival and fireworks.
The ending was so cute 😍
MarinXGojou are such a cute couple and the Fireworks Festival was so good
after episode 10 i started reading the manga and even though i liked the last two episodes I noticed how many scenes and dialog they cut; one major thing I realized was that they cut Marin's dad that was introduced in the manga meanwhile in the anime he was just mentioned
Me after this ending: crying, upset that Gojou didn’t say he loved Marin, shitting, throwing up, falling into the void
finally its over, I can finally stop seeing it everywhere.
What a fantastic anime from start to finish
I can't wait for S2
I'm sooooo single omgg😭😭😭. And now i have no peak slice of life to live vicariously through. RIP
Definitely one of the best anime this year, I’m currently reading through the manga and it just gets even better.
Can’t wait for season 2
Perfect end to a perfect anime.
Akebi's ending was perfect too.
I'd put Dress Up Darling up there with ToraDora
Chibi the art in the manga is absolutely beautiful. Its got the exact same design as the anime.
To reduce my sadness I will probably rewatch it in dub
I’m so damn sad that it’s over but can’t wait for season 2
It’s really a shame that there’s no season 2 coming anytime soon. I’ll miss the dumb smile I’ve had plastered on my face watching every episode.
Really hope they bring out a season 2 soon .
I don't remember what chapter this last episode was (39 does sound about right though) but there is definitely enough content for a season 2 as we are, I believe, on chapter 77 or 78 right now.
I need a season 2!!!
I've never gave an anime a "no doubt, no regret 10/10", but this show deserved it.
When an anime adaptation is better than a manga and even went further beyond than what the source material offered, that's when you know you have a miracle in your hands.
A true rare gem in the long span of anime that have been released.
This series was amazing! I loved it!!
That "Good night" was for Gojo, but that "See you later" was for me
So far, my favorite anime of the year
My Dress up Darling was easily my number two anime of this season, but all good things must come to an end; let's just hope Marin and Gojo get together next season 🤗
Since it'll be a while I recommend reading manga to bide your time chibi. I was also surprised by pool scene too
My god this is one the very best romance slice of life animes I have ever watched! I absolutely love their relationship
Rip.
We can finally move on tho...
This and Akebi's finale hits different.
Otherwise yeah we'd have to wait for this arc to end to maybe get a second season.
let's get ready to read the manga!!!
*I hope we can get a season 2 hopefully sometime in early 2024 when they have enough chapters in the manga they can adapt.* 🙏🏽
If we are talking about the scene in episode 11, then from what it looks like they really avoide that conversation for now.
But there were instances where they went back to that scene on their own, but not in the way you might think XD
But I do have to say that the scene in episode 11 is more intense in the anime, than in the manga
Chibi i don't think we will have to wait that long. The first Season coverd 39 Chapters. Currently there are 74 Chapters out. I guess they wait until the End of the Year and then we will get the Season 2 announcement for next Year.
73. Chapter 74 is due... next week? or something like that.
