They honestly should’ve just made this game as a fresh start imo I’m kinda tired of seeing the same characters in their games or even them trying to live on the MW and Black Ops titles just to try to make more profit
@@FIRSTEBITOS on the Original BO from 2010, Mason jumped from the plane they were using to escape from Cuba, on the bay of pigs operation, to clear the way so they could take off, Mason is captured and became a POW on Vorkuta Gulag, there, Dragovich and Dr. Steiner brainwashed him and tried to program him to kill Kennedy, fortunately Viktor Reznov, a WW2 Soviet Veteran that was betrayed for his own country, sabotaged Mason's brainwash, and instead of Kennedy, Mason now were going for Dragovich, Kravchenko and Steiner, the numbers are basically related to the broadcast station Dragovich had in Cuba and they kept being repeated on Mason's head, making him highly unstable. I recommend you to play Black Ops and see by yourself, it's a pretty good game
Literally every one of Mason's scenes has me dying... Him and Woods truly are my favourite Black Ops characters ever. Just the little details like Mason glancing to Woods when Adler mentions Cuba, and then them making the bet with Lazar. I love them so much.
Shame the OG voice actors didn't get to voice them, the new guys do a decent job at voicing them But they'll never surpass Sam Worthington and James C Burns
Really wish they would've kept Bowman and Weaver a little longer on this Black Ops, they really weren't bad characters at all even if their roles didn't last long, it wouldn't matter that much if they had different voice actors like Mason but I just be glad they kept them all around

A lot like the original Black Ops. Love how they paid homage to it in so many ways. The opening bar scene with the lighter, little hints thrown in about Mason and Woods past missions. Got flooded with nostalgia playing this game, best new cod campaign.

This is the exact reason why i don't watch walkthroughs of these types of games i hate when ppl go guns a blazing in a obviously stealthy situations tho it is less of a annoyance in this case since Cods not like Mgs or Splintercell.

I love how the developers framed a nice storyline for this prequel by taking bits and pieces from cod modern warfare and cod black ops, finally putting them all together signifying the events of cold war that occurred well before the events of cod mw and cod black ops.

3:17:29 Just for those of you who DON'T know what a STARFISH is. The warhead used to re-create that blinding flash and huge shockwave was actually a 1.2 Megaton thermonuclear warhead.. So, yes. They TECHNICALLY nuked Russia without the Fallout and everything. Even todays B83 could re-create this same flash if mounted atop a rocket and fired at that altitude.
Lukas Douglas He is a character from Infinity Ward’s Modern Warfare. Meaning somehow TreyArch is planning on combining the Modern Warfare universe and the Black Ops universe. Not sure how this is supposed to work considering many events would contradict each other.
I know right! I saw Burger Town in that Russian mock up of a U.S town and I was like “wait, that’s a Modern Warfare thing.” I guess this means we are getting a crossover between the Black Ops universe and the Modern Warfare universe. Not sure how this is supposed to work considering many events would contradict each other. Unless Infinity Ward plans on changing MAJOR events that happen in their reimagining of Modern Warfare.
Gabriel Caballero His name is spelled the exact same, he still has him arm(makes sense seeing as how he lost it in 1996) is part of the Russian Communist party and looks really similar. TreyArch would have had to get permission from Infinity Ward to use their character. Seeing as how the MW series is being reimagined, Infinity Ward could theoretically modify the timeline to fit in with the Black Ops universe. TreyArch however, would have to modify their own series to adapt to this change. The new MW takes place in 2019. Just 6 years before the major events of Black Ops 2. Cold War takes place in 1981. Just 5 years before the flashback sequences of Blops 2. Suffice to say unless TreyArch plans on reimagining their campaigns as well, a crossover will screw up the timelines of both franchises.

Remember the “break on through” where it showed Adler saying “Over here, we got a live one!” That was an actual thing because after the planed crashed in “No where left to run” Adler wanted to clean up the area and check for survivors, so that’s what they did and they ended up finding Bell when they were looking for survivors. So it was an actual thing, Adler did not put it in Bell’s head.

It makes no sense as to why they would change the actor because burns wouldn't have overcharged them they have over 1 billion dollars. The new guy sounds nothing like woods and the impression doesn't sound good, it sounds like nothing more than an impression and it's a slap in the face to all the fans of the series since it started in WaW. I love how the developers framed a nice storyline for this prequel by taking bits and pieces from cod modern warfare and cod black ops, finally putting them all together signifying the events of cold war that occurred well before the events of cod mw and cod black ops.

Lukas Douglas He is a character from Infinity Ward’s Modern Warfare. Meaning somehow TreyArch is planning on combining the Modern Warfare universe and the Black Ops universe. Not sure how this is supposed to work considering many events would contradict each other.
I know right! I saw Burger Town in that Russian mock up of a U.S town and I was like “wait, that’s a Modern Warfare thing.” I guess this means we are getting a crossover between the Black Ops universe and the Modern Warfare universe. Not sure how this is supposed to work considering many events would contradict each other. Unless Infinity Ward plans on changing MAJOR events that happen in their reimagining of Modern Warfare.
I think this is a Zakhaev from another universe because there is no way they can tie in Black Ops with Modern warfare

Gabriel Caballero His name is spelled the exact same, he still has him arm(makes sense seeing as how he lost it in 1996) is part of the Russian Communist party and looks really similar. TreyArch would have had to get permission from Infinity Ward to use their character. Seeing as how the MW series is being reimagined, Infinity Ward could theoretically modify the timeline to fit in with the Black Ops universe. TreyArch however, would have to modify their own series to adapt to this change. The new MW takes place in 2019. Just 6 years before the major events of Black Ops 2. Cold War takes place in 1981. Just 5 years before the flashback sequences of Blops 2. Suffice to say unless TreyArch plans on reimagining their campaigns as well, a crossover will screw up the timelines of both franchises.

Yeah, the "good guys are not exactly good" narrative has been told since World at War and has continued through Black Ops series. It's really hard to miss, if you played previous games
1:56:55 Gorbachev's line is a nice callback to the original Black Ops and the presence of that OTHER person is a great crossover.
Remember the “break on through” where it showed Adler saying “Over here, we got a live one!” That was an actual thing because after the planed crashed in “No where left to run” Adler wanted to clean up the area and check for survivors, so that’s what they did and they ended up finding Bell when they were looking for survivors. So it was an actual thing, Adler did not put it in Bell’s head.
I gotta say I'm impressed at how life-like they made Reagan in this. Even the voice is damn near spot on.
They did the same for Kennedy in Bo1.
