Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is set during the Cold War in the early 1980s. The story is inspired by actual events and the campaign features locations such as East Berlin, Vietnam, Turkey, and the Soviet KGB headquarters.[6] Players can create a custom character for the campaign, codenamed Bell, with options for different skin tones, ethnic backgrounds and genders, as well as different personality traits that provide in-game perks. The campaign will have multiple endings, dependent on player choice throughout the campaign.
As always we used relevant gameplay, important dialogue and all cutscenes to try and flesh out a fluid cinematic experience. We hope you enjoy!

So we recorded on the Xbox Series X, and recorded in 4K 60FPS. We rendered in 2k (1440p) just to get it up a little faster. It will process eventually to 1440p but for now it's stuck on 1080p. Either way, it still looks amazing!
how long is the single player/did it take u to beat, is it worth it for someone that wont care much for the multiplayer
@Jacob Nichols Nah there's definitely ads. Might have glitched out for you, but there are ads on it
@@melxb It's real short tbh, it only took about 3 and half hours to beat. It does have choices throughout, so worth at least a second playthrough. But from what I've seen the differences aren't too major. So if you're looking for a single player only experience, it might not be worth a full $60 for such a short amount of game time. But it is fun, just like all the Call of Duty campaigns, so I'll give it that.

@@mickyjo5 The game actually had two completely different sets of responses depending on if you obeyed or disobeyed Adler in the Vietnam section. The Disobey one is the more interesting story line.
@@mickyjo5 what are you talking about? there's clearly branching paths on these decisions, its not like not doing what they tell you just instantly kills you or says mission failed. You do what you want and you see the story unfold, it has nothing to do with not paying attention or getting the video out smh.

I love how they made these prequels.First it was a prequel for MW and now BO prequel.Who thinks it would be even more bad ass if they combined the people from BO and MW and made them work together.Like Mason and Woods and them work together with Price and Soap.

This game being a crossover from Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2019 has to be my favorite part, and I like the fact that this game also ignores Black Ops II and III even though I liked them in my opinion.

Not really as mason wasn't killed at the end of Black Ops 1, Price wasn't killed at the end of COD4, Modern Warfare 2 and 3, and even Modern Warfare 2019.

It's hard to understand the inconsistency of the language use. Some Soviets speak Russian, and others English. For instance the KGB mission starts Belikov speaking Russian but after the call ends, everyone in the building speaks english.

I think you don't listen to the dialogues at all, you missed alot of good options to avoid fights, just like with the KGB HQ checkpoint and when imrhan talked to you.

@@TheOsakuleya16 based on what I see from the cutscenes, there isn’t as much content as I thought there would be regarding Woods and Mason. Almost like they knew they were big names so they were used heavily in the game promotion rather than the actual story. Would the lack of these characters participation justify not paying more money for their original cast? Idk, but I can sure as hell see they’re playing the customers when you constantly see Woods and Mason everywhere in the ads.
I thought Woods was the same no? Pretty decent impression if its not.
In fairness for Mason they used Sam Worthington, the guy from avatar and hackshaw ridge. Hes not a dedicated voice actor as far as I’m aware so not surprised they didn’t get him to do it again, plus he’d be hard to replace as his voice is pretty distinct. I would have liked to see the old Mason but I think the new one is still decent enough.
I have no idea why we didn't get the vouce actors from 1 and 2 the biggest change is hudson his voice is completely different from bo1 and 2.

I love how in a lot of the Call of Duties, they'll have you play as a sniper and make you try to assassinate someone, but always make the bullet get stopped by something, or it'll only clip them. And no matter what, afterwards you can't kill them, even if you manage to hit them with 8 rounds before they get out of your eyesight

This game in perfect way shows that good side only use you, treats you a tool, you never do something for yourself, only for others, evil side set you free.
This campaign looks quite high quality, it's well written, creative and it looks very enjoyable and intense. The only thing is that it's way too short, and that is a real bummer, because it could have been so good.

It's well-executed. My only complaint is that the story is very similar to the original Black Ops... It's a similar tale of sleeper cells, brainwashing and your mind playing tricks on you as a result of that brainwashing. Except (SPOILER) Mason was brainwashed to kill Kennedy and here, "Bell" has been brainwashed to expose a Soviet plot.
Activision recently has been making very short Stories, which is kinda disappointing but since they prioritize Warzone and Multiplayer than zombies or campaign then you can see why.
Spoiler alert: Because Warzone and Multiplayer is where they get the most cash with low effort.

@@Sam-iw6te would kill to have both studios rework the timeline in a new series that combines MW and BO, perhaps remaster some MW1 missions, but occasionally give the character a hint that the CIA (Mason, Woods and gang) is following their steps. And in BO missions, perhaps have price, soap and gaz lending support occasionally.

Looks like a lot of weapons technology that didn't exist in 1981.
And the UH-1s don't look accurate to the majority of Vietnam-era models. The big giveaway for me was the number of engines. Most Huey models had a single engine powering the rotors. The UH-1s in the game have 2. There was the UH-1N, which had 2 engines, that entered US service in the later years of Vietnam but the placement of the exhausts for the game model is incorrect. It looks more similar to the configuration of a modern UH-1Y.
@@SSDConker2 , we had a UH-1 squadron on my first duty station so I have been around a few of those but I wouldn't have caught that detail in the game. Impressive.
@@toddbrackett4277 I had a double take moment when I saw the video. Between watching plenty of stuff about Vietnam and being part of a MEU (where I saw UH-1s up close a lot), that was one of the details that always stuck with me.

I just got more annoyed at the Huey, the planes on the carrier that were supposed to be F-14s, and the choppers that looked like Hueys with Blackhawk style landing gear. I guess Activision doesn't want to work with aircraft manufacturers to accurately model stuff or whatever Namco Bandai does when to modeling aircraft for Ace Combat. And Activision certainly has more resources than Namco Bandai.

I read this up, apparently the devs didn't get the licenses for the actual guns so they did that thing where they skirt copyright law with similiar-ish names. I got really confused when I first say stuff like the Pelington, the Krig 6 and the Type 821 until I found this out.

Not really sold on this game, I was never a big fan of Call of Duty anyway, but the 80s setting looked very good to me. I'm just afraid that the gameplay will be similar to 007 Legends as in if you don't use the ADS, you won't hit anything. (Unlike in, say, the new Wolfenstein games)

While it's sometimes hard to tell, the game really is better with rtx and dlss 2.0 on. Accurate shadows and lighting is a bigger deal than I thought. CP2077's RTX hasn't been beat yet, so I'm excited for the future of the tech for both console and pc

Imagine, you are a young kid fighting in the Vietnam war. You are following an apc into enemy territory when all of a sudden an RPG flies from seemingly out of nowhere, hitting the apc in front of you.
As you scramble to find cover as gunfire breaks out from all sides, you catch a glimpse of Bell...
Eating round after round of enemy fire to the chest, while simultaneously jumping and drop shotting the entire enemy line while simultaneously calling in an airstrike and throwing smoke.
You scream and cover your face, crying for your mother. Not because of the war or the thought of the imminent death waiting for you.
You have realized you are in a COD game.
Cant tell if you failed basically every dialogue check on purpose or just have a short memory 😂
