I liked Dagur as a villain but since he is good now I must go with Viggo. Other villains are really strong but Viggo puts his brain first and do a lot of damage to dragon riders.
Amazing video! My answer to your question "Why did Krogan want Hiccup safe and alive?" The answer is that Drago Blüdvist needs Hiccup alive, in fact if you remember from HTTYD2, there is Drago that is very interested in meeting Hiccup to observe and understand how a dragon trainer deals with dragons, Drago believes that there is an authoritarian relation between dragon and rider, but he finds out it's a relation of trust and friendship.
I think this is because Drago wanted the Night Fury. If Krogan was unable to purchase Toothless, then he needed to capture Hiccup alive in order to get the Night Fury, and if Hiccup was dead then Toothless would be more free to leave and escape. However, if Krogan captured Hiccup alive, it would force Toothless to follow them to try to rescue his trainer, flying directly into their trap. Basically what I think Krogan wanted was to use Hiccup to get Toothless then kill Hiccup after they had Toothless, and if Hiccup was dead before that happened they would not get the powerful Night Fury.
In race to the edge when hiccups dad thinking back on what Drago bloodfist does you can clearly see when he goes outside that chrobin and Drago bloodfist or just walking away in the same path
Doesn't make any sense since Drago had never heard of Hiccup or the Dragonriders of Berk until after capturing some of them in httyd2. He only found out about Hiccup from Astrid.

Another theory, C could be royalty. Like the emblem and dragon skin could only be worn by the royal family. He's there to find out what happened to his kin, and COULD be the cliche good brother, but also could be aware of his kin's exploits so doesn't want to be lumped in w him so stays hidden.

Hiccup didn't know anything about Drago or the dragon army until the 2nd film came out, so maybe instead of receiving dragons who were capture and to be trained in fear and pride broken, Krogan could have been thinking on tricking hiccup into trading or teaching his tricks to the dragons he encounter. which one is better? a dragon that is petrified of everything and will do a limit to please it's master, or a loyal dragon that will do everything and anything to please it's friend.
If you look at both the hooded stranger's and Drago' faces they look very similar. It's possible that the hooded man is Drago's top agent because they're related, possibly as a younger brother or even as a son

For a bit, I thought he was Drago, he even had the same scar, but the mystery hunter is much skinnier and has both arms.
