General on the radio: terrible veteran sniper in your area
Me:Fuck.....me
Hahaha you got me 😂
He ain't good in the game

@@zisist5493He is seen hes other videos?
@@zisist5493gramps may be slow but all he needs is one shot bro. Trust
The Devs: write that down, write that down.
Comedy gold
lol you think DICE devs write anything down? In all seriousness, attention to detail lacked heavily in this game and this will likely never get fixed.
@@DIC_CEOI'm always amazed how dumb the devil are. They really should go touch brass 😂
Or don't, the "veteran sniper" dude is wrong.
The devs don’t care 🤣
Gramps teaching terminal ballistics with mil dots !
I was looking into this and I see that a 600 meter shot should be 3.87 on the mill dot so all of this makes sense
It would be external ballistics. Terminal is what happens when you hit.
@@bbconrad92 you beat me to it. touche.
Terminal is when it hits
What does terminal ballistics have to do with game devs not programming the scopes right
When Grandpa gives advice you best shut up and start listening cuz class is in session. 😂😂😂😂😂
He’s giving a masterclass in sniping on battlefield 😂
Facts I'm here for it
He’s our grandpa now
@@ExIledstIllSanelmao yes
He's really not good in the game
Grandpa was a REAL SNIPER doing the right calculation 🧮
He was not a real sniper. He was just alive when Vietnam was happening. Sniping IRL is nothing like on a game.
@@yourmomsdildo3938 Yeah it's incredibly boring and intense at the same time.
@yourmomsdildo3938 He talks about his service in one of his videos. He served. I don't think he was a sniper I don't remember the whole thing, but I remember he mentioned some bad ass shit that he did.

You're pretty much driving all the sales for BF 2042, their marketing team should take a note lol
i got into it after i saw a few videos of him sniping 🤣
Now they need to make an in-game tutorial page when selecting each separate scope that let's you clearly zoom in on the markings to let you better select a scope and release that along with some kind of in-game grandpa skin 😂
@@RandysDirtyBurgerreally ?😂
Ya seriously. I bought it because of his vids
My brother and I got back on because of his videos
Retirement is gonna be hella fun for us Gen X'ers!!
As a Gen Xer that currently streams, I agree. Can't wait!!!
@@retro7943 omg wait I didn't think of this... hell yeah
Grandpa sharing his wisdom/experience really appreciates it for a while I wanted to know how to properly use a sniper
That's what I use to do. I call it "create parameters". And it's very accurate, even in a game... Cheers, Sir.
That's what every single military member ever has done. Relax.
What is this game name ?

I love seeing a sniper NOT sticking himself out the window and staying inside the room like this guy does.
The ass kickings from Vietnam have spilled over into battlefield
Mil dots dont corellate to range in meters, they corellate to specific units of measure called miliradians. Its similar to how minutes of angle work, its basically measured in degrees.
How many mils your round drops at what range will vary (in the real world) by bullet weight & velocity along with ballistic coefficient.
They don't corelate but can used in that way?..//wtf is a minute to an angle is that in reference to where x will be found at y time or?
@@sharpsrain8302 just Google miliradians and minutes of angle. Lol
They are off in battlefield 2042 and in other games too he's giving the adjustment to what is needed to be done
@@temporarygecko3441
Yeah. That's how you actually run mil dot and MOA reticles when you don't have any DOPE (data on previous engagements)
If your mils are accurate, you can use them to range targets with a math formula. It's pretty easy to find onlne.the You can do the same with MOA reticles too.
If he really wanted to be a better sniper, whether it be online or otherwise, he'd have a DOPE card for how much drop he needs to account for at specific ranges. That way, there's no need to pop off a confirmation shot.
@@sharpsrain8302 minutes of angle refer to an angular measurement. Think of it like using a clock to measure angles.
2 mils of drop doesn't corellate to 200 meters.
Mils and MOA are both units of angular measurement.
There is actually a lot of math used if you're a sniper. You have a notepad & are making wind calculations & range calculations constantly
He is just teaching about distance. Not factoring wind. Kinda like basic lesson. When you master that. That's when you add the wind factor.
I saw that in the Sniper series (movies)
Ya but hes missing the biggest part is altitude. The sight works if your shooting at the same altitude@Arvintures28
Welcome to ARMA 3
I don’t understand a word but I love listening to grandpa
Clean your ears
@@coooooolguy87 I did coz listening to grandpa is important
That storm couldn’t have came at a worse time 💯 but anytime Grandpa gives you sniping advice, listen to everything he has to say. Especially if you are trying to improve your sniping skills, I can almost guarantee you will get better! Don’t let his age fool you, he is a awesome long range sniper in battlefield. And I promise you, sniping long range in battle field isn’t as easy as is seams. Because it’s not just about shooting in general, there’s so many more mechanics to sniping 💯
Mitch McConnell Killin it.
I honestly didn't even know that video games actually accounted for distance like that.
Well for battlefield it does
games like Arma or Squad use them. Military sights are very interesting, useable and cool imo. Some scopes will have a range/size estimation where you put your target into the size area, and it will estimate the distance.
Gramps: casually hits kill of the game
Also gramps: this is a good time to teach you how to shoot
Me in math class saying, oooooh ok, but i still don't understand
Pay attention to the way he shoots out the window.
He's not right in the window, he's a good 10+ feet back. This eliminates the ability to be spotted, not only from the ground, but from scope glint towards his targets. No sun, no glint. And when it's bright out, even if someone runs into that open window, it'll take a few moments for their eyes to adjust, giving him a bit of time to engage them without getting properly engaged at.
Man knows his stuff.
I played battlefield for nearly 10 years and I didnt know what those numbers meant
Sniper master class 🎉🎉🎉
If only the realism that Battlefield was once known for was present in their new game... Especially for the weapons and vehicles.
Battlefield was my go to for realism, and CoD BO2 and BO3 Zombies used to be my go to for their main Easter Egg storylines. The amount of details that each game had was amazing and each installment always built on the strengths of the last game and got more in depth and expanded. But nothing beat Battlefields realism. Drop shots and wait time was different for every weapon class, but it felt close to watching the actual bullet being shot from a real gun. I remember everyone playing Battlefield over CoD during the late 2000s.
Now everyone has written off both games and either went to Escape from Tarkov or PUBG for a realistic experience, or they've gone to Fortnite and Warzone for easy wins and fast lobbies.
I love the battlefield games they are definitely my favorite out of them all
you are a legend, you dont have a problem to teach these mega pro tips, my sniping just improved literally 100% tx Sir
I assumed it was possible to use those numbers to calculate a range but I just learned over the years to judge the distance and the required height above the target. Crazy.
Each mil dot on the reticle represents 1 milliradian of angle (1/6283 of a full circle). The spacing between dots is precisely 1 mil.
At 100 yards, 1 mil subtends approximately 3.6 inches. This means if a target is 36 inches tall and spans 10 mils in the scope, it is 1000 yards away (36 inches / 10 mils = 3.6 inches per mil = 1000 yards).
The shooter can use the mil dots to estimate the range to a target of known size, or to compensate for bullet drop by holding over the required number of mils.
When sniping turns into a gentle afternoon of Plinking.
I don't understand the technical term he said but I really admire him.
Yeah I was saying this the first video I saw with you I instantly noticed you were using legit sniper skills in the game thanks for your service Gramps we love you
" One Shot One Kill " 🫡
Its about time latest gamers need grandpa to get deep into the sniper subject ❤❤❤❤ Future is safe in his hands once again
Far into the room with light obscured, fkin beautiful
You can learn alot from the Legend. The best I’ve seen in sniper
Well, ya. Mildots don’t correspond to distances. But that’d be a great practice to build your DOPE and learn your yardages. 2.3 mils at 600m or whatever. Assuming the game physics stop there you should be wicked deadly quickly. If they take the other parameters into effect that’d be interesting. But wind and gravity are the two main factors.
Grandpa is the GOAT dialled in on mil dots in three shots
We can't argue he be cooking and left no crumbs
Damn, Grandpa just tought us how to snip
Gramps doesn't know hes teaching one of the top holders of some crypto currency,
thanks gramp$

Damn they used to in battlefield. It was one of the things I loved most about it.
Sandstorm: "Oh, im sorry am i in your way?"
This man is zeroing his rifle in game 😂😂😂 epic
Grandpa u teach the dangerous international people next generation 😊😊😊
Men like you is the reason our military is the greatest in the world thank you for your service OG
Insane shots
That's a Gandpa of whom whole street is proud of.... 🫡
Grandpas are society's backbones.
Its always annoying to me on games where they make “realistic” features like this and then make the function erroneous, like you showed here, but its so fun to see someone with more say on the matter drag em to class haha
Don't think I've ever listened so hard in my life.
I am a sniper in the royal marines i know exactly what he is talking about
Grampa class💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾
You have to compensate for elevation variation. He is on the ground and shooting on top of a roof. The more vertical your trajectory, the less down drop.
This guy needs to be a FPS bullet physics advisor for all shooters. I think games need to adjust this malfunction of a mechanic and set a cookie cutter program for all Military shooter games and alike
Good advice and true as far as I know. My argument would be the scopes can be placed on almost any weapon in the game, so you're working with different calibres, and normal vs high-power rounds.
There are also barrel lengths and silencers which all affect range.
If he's using high-power rounds which I suspect he might be then those have less droop. The standard ammo is more what the scopes are designed for.
When i saw his clips i tried to search how to read sniper scope. I failed to find one. And now this clip shows up.
Thank you for the knowledge. I dont play the game but its peaks my interest.
I made some kid mad last night on the same map lol. He went so far as to msg me and talk crap. Told him he was obviously mad and could stay mad.
Next thing you know they’ll say I’m using cheats.
No cheats just figured out the new scope system by watching gramps here. My father was 25th infantry back in nam. I know to listen to our vets and gramps here is one of the best sniper education people out there. Thank you for the tips. Been making people rage quit ever since lol. Literally the other team quit the server before guy msg me we had to wait 20 minutes for it to repopulate enough for another match lol.
573m headshots all match thanks to watching gramps videos
This is why I preferred battlefield 4 because the mil dot acts made sense
Experience matters
Gramps taking us to school!
Listen to the old wise warrior in a young mans game
He has one hell of an eye sight because when he kills someone I don’t see anyone. All I know is that he shoots and someone dies. 🤣🤣🤣
THIS IS A MASTER CLASS SO LISTEN UP
Glad you noticed this too! I noticed this a couple weeks ago and it pissed me off since every other BF game has it dialed in properly. I like to think it’s an imbalance between the different types of rounds you use and the base programming for scope calibration
I thought the mil dots in video games are just for decoration, but now they totally make sense.
This makes so much sense. No wonder i couldn't hit anything at range. Very used to the mil dots
Best part of your videos is you can actually see the bullet lob from the distance
snappy salute to you sir...woooaahh
Respectfully Sir Grandpa Sir, I wish the military would recommission you to teach soldiers how to shoot. I think even the current teachers don’t know how to shoot as well as you. God bless you Sir Grandpa Sir
This honorable gentleman is teaching us how to☠️☠️☠️ lls... I'll be waiting in a corner in the apocalypse
Not only does he make insane shots but they’re also HEAD SHOTS 👌
Another proof to my comment on one of your tiger clips. But wow! What a level of knowledge.
Yeah this has messed me up for a while … always gets me
Wow!! that's DOPE! 😉
Nice guide gramp👍
I'd love to see this guy play Sniper Elite... this is great stuff.
Thank you for your service
You should do a sniper elite video on the most realistic of settings now that would be cool to see
This is the guy who taught Bob Lee Swagger how to shoot...you better pay attention when class is session
My favourite sniper online
ow… so that’s how you use it me… another part of my ignorance was cured. 😂😂😂
grandpa is just doing kentucky windage. Homie is forgeting to incorporate the difference in elevation from shooter to taget.
I don't even like video games.I just like watching this guy
I now have a sudden craving for realistic first person shooter
Nice gameplay 👍🏼
Also snipers never normally use mill dots to shoot distances. Mill dots are used only in emergency situations requiring quick action. Otherwise sniper always get distance from spotter and sniper adjusts the scope dials to set the distances.
Leaving a legacy. My master
I just started battlefield 2042 cause of this guy. I would have liked the video better if it didn’t go red. But the explanation worked great.
This is why I hate figuring the "Kentucky windage" on each rifle & scope. - Now, I can & have done it. I can get a headshot with a DXR-1 & a XCE-Bar (so far) from spawn tower to spawn tower in Kaleidoscope (at least a 1.1k shot) but each are different on the 12x scopes.
They never had a chance 😂😂😂
just wait until games start adding wind physics
that is how you use you reticle. but the game graphics in the old days weren't this good, distance and drop weren't accounted for, they are getting better.
The Grampa will breed a new set of sniper kids in the future.
Pops learned that in the early access alpha
I think the devs would give thought to this if you showed them this. 😮
The last battlefield game where sniper rifles mildot and range correlated was battlefield 4.
We need this veteran on hell diver☠
I'm 67 and love playing cod mw3 😊
