I worked in Colombia back in the day counter drug training and advising. We’d train for a op over and over and then carry it out. This is actually kind of weird how similar the beginning of this was to an op I had. You have TIC and comms get busy. I think the reason we handled a lot of business successfully was because of our demeanor when shit was going sideways and was busy. The problem now in life I am ALWAYS bored and my brain works best in high stress situations.

What role is Karma taking up in an actual squad? I'm interested in learning more about how real soldiers keep track of so many people in the field.

he's the platoon commander, not technically in charge of any individual squads, but of the whole platoon. he does have an HQ element with him at most times

@@hereandnow3156 when a squad deploys, the squad leader is deployed with them. When the whole platoon deploys, the platoon leader is also deployed with the HQ element.

​@gudboi2298 not really because that's not the officer's job. the platoon leader has to control ALL of his squads in conucntion with one another. a platoon leader can't do that if they're overly engaged in a firefight, so they will rarely lead an element in a firefight from the front, that's what the fireteam and squad leaders are for

@@fivemeomedia All of the players on OPFOR are all roleplayers specifically brought in by Liru. They're not random people nor are they new to the game or inexperienced. The rest are AI on OPFOR.

I hate the crouch running animation in Arma. Looks so awkward. Try crouch running for miles in real life with 80 lbs of gear like here your legs would die off within a 100 feet... should be a stamina bar on how far you can run using crouch

Don't you find number callsigns a bit harder to grasp and memorize ? I really miss the good old named squads, like Alpha, Charlie, or anything else like Stealth 1, Rogue 2, Snake, etc. :P
