      Thanks very much Ricardo! Really appreciate it hopefully you subscribed I’ll be on this weekend doing some cool stuff. Going to do some reason basics for the people who are new to reason because there’s been a lot of new people coming on on board and going to do some stuff with my new MPC

    Thanks dude. Did you ever experience tracks not synched on rendering? I worked on my mix, everything was OK while playing the mix. Upon rendering, many tracks go out of tempo, and delayed. And yeah, all this with 'delay compensation' on on Reason 10.

      Hmmm - that’s a head scratcher. Have you tried turning it off? If you want you can put your project up on - say drop box or some file delivery system and I’d be happy to take a look at it. Let me know if you want me to do that for you. I have not experienced that issue though - but I’d like to get to the bottom of it.

      Had the same issue and figured it out. Make sure the sample rate is 44,100. Mine was at 192,000 and several tracks were out of sync. Changed it to 44,100 and everything was rendered properly. Hope this helps

    • @Cap10NRGMusic

      That actually makes sense.. I guess another thought that might resolve the issue would maybe be to right click the audio and bounce in place- this should re-render the audio in whatever quality / hertz/ resolution the rest of the project is in I believe

    Hmmnnn....Reason 12 with Focusrite Scarlett Solo, Windows 10 (up to date) AMD Ryzen 5900X 12 Core CPU on Gigabyte X570 AORUS Master motherboard with 32GB of RAM all disks are M.2 NVME's. Lots of pops and audio interference and still when following your suggestions although reduced. The PC is really not under load at all. With the arrival of the free Windows version of Luna the very same VST's and sounds that give me pops in Reason work perfectly even with the buffer size reduced to 32! I've been with Reason since 8....given this issue and the cost of the Reason 13 upgrade I think it's time I move on. I don't want to specifically learn a new DAW but I don't fancy trying to do a re-install of Reason.

    • @Cap10NRGMusic
      @Cap10NRGMusic  3 місяці тому

      No need to reinstall! :)
      You’re on a PC - go to Preferences, select the audio tab - and now set the buffer to 512. That ought to do it if you have the ASIO driver installed

      @@Cap10NRGMusic and as per my comment "Lots of pops and audio interference and still when following your suggestions although reduced." I have tried the buffer at 512, it is better but I still get some pops and I've tried switching the Hyperthreading off as well.........my point is that Luna can run the same VSTs and sounds without pops even when the buffer is set to 32.

      Hello @Michaltanay2315 - I mean possibly however, I don’t work for Reason Studios so I don’t know all the ins and outs of resolving every issue only ones I’ve dealt with. Which computer, operating system, processor, how much ram, and how much hard drive space do you have? Has it ever worked? Are you connected to the Internet? … I guess we’ll start here. Let me know some answers to those questions and we can go from there. Also, if you haven’t please sub to the channel, I would appreciate it.

      Processor is important... Which are you using? There seem to be a lot of people who have issue with AMD processors - if it is AMD there are "PATCHES" out there but they all say "Use at your own risk"... Soooo That does not fill me with confidence that they are legit... Also you did not say - Did it ever work - and suddenly stop? Are you a new user and never got this to run? Is the computer connected to the internet... I am not a Reason employee as I mentioned so subscribe to the channel, and consider supporting the channel is some way please.

    It's really crazy why we are still using reason the 12th generation and still no midi comping mode and still no video support it cost a lot of money but unlike a piece of hardware you can't even sell it so I can't understand the big pricetag for upgrades and why it is lagging so far behind the competition it's a real shame done here
    Thank you for this video I'm sure it's a big help to some people unfortunately we shouldn't have to be pulling our hair out but there you go

    • @Cap10NRGMusic

      Thanks for the comment! I hear what you’re saying, software is kind of a tricky thing like that… I mean yeah it’s not actually hardware that you can sell - but technically you can sell you license (sounds like you, like myself, are a long time use who owns a license) if you really wanted out and could find someone to sell to. My biggest issue there is I have bought soooo many REs that I am kind of locked in and there are still a lot of people still getting into it. Video support is still niche enough that not having it won’t stop people and personally I am so used to the. “Work arounds” it is still my quickest DAW from idea to comp. I kind of think of it more like a software Groovebox. Anyway, yeah the audio dropout thing is actually an ANY DAW thing - Im putting the CUBASE version of this same video out next.

    • @dragonmaster2238
      @dragonmaster2238 2 роки тому

      Please don't listen to the crap he says. The other DAWs are not miles ahead. They are above all one thing, completely overloaded, not a bit intuitive to use. And please no support for any colorful video junk, such a thing does not belong in a DAW. There is special software for that, e.g. from Adobe.
      The only thing that is really missing is VST3 support. But that should come soon (from May).

    Having this issue with Steinberg UR22 audio interface, only affects REASON no other daw. Sample buffer on reason is 1024 and is still crackling and overloading. Other DAWs run fine at 512 sample buffer rate.

    • @Cap10NRGMusic
      @Cap10NRGMusic  Рік тому

      Hmmm 🤔 that’s strange - usually that is what I suggest (changing the buffer). Is that buffer setting on the control panel or in preferences in Reason? Also Windows or Mac (M1 or Intel)? Just trying to nail down the issue

    • @WarrenPostma
      @WarrenPostma Рік тому

      It's an M1 mac issue and I think it's an issue with the fact that Reason is not M1 native, and SOME DAWs that are non-native may have odd performance glitches due to Rosetta.

      Oh I was hoping that wasn’t it BUT I think you nailed it. Is the driver even M1 native? I tried Reason on the integrated sound “card” on the M1 Max notebook and it seemed to work pretty well. I am kind of thinking Yamaha / Steinberg might be the culprit in this case. Which I hate to blame them because they’re my favorite synth/software company above pretty much everything else (and tied with Reason ;D )

    I had this problem. I'm using reason and focusrite. I'm using it for making backing tracks. Some tracks would stop in the middle of play. I would have songs that have 5 tracks and all of a sudden the keyboard track stopped working. Then it came back on. This is useful info but anybody go through this?

    • @Cap10NRGMusic

      I have not seen this happen ever with Reason that I can think of. Does the application crash when this happens? Could it be a processor / memory / hard drive issue? What type of hard drive are you using (mechanical? solid state?) How much RAM - Mac or PC and what processor?

    • @Cap10NRGMusic
      @Cap10NRGMusic  Рік тому

      Are you using the external drive to run audio off of? That could be part of the problem depending on the speed of the drive and the throughput if it’s USB 1, 3or 3. I’m also wondering if the main drive your sea drive how full it is… This could be a big problem as well. You might wanna upgrade your CD rather than using an external drive. You’ll get better and you can use the external drive just to back up to. Which PC are you using? Is it a desktop and notebook and what brand model? I’m wondering if I can check out to see what’s up upgradable to for you

      @rudydesi yeah that’s really weird. It’s got to be the drive. I would imagine unless you’re using a really slow processor And even then I can’t see it because reason runs so well even on machines I have that from 2012… It’s got to be the drive unless it’s a driver the way is set up possibly do you know what your latency is set to? You should have it set to 512 on the ASIO driver. Oh, I guess the other question is are you using ASIO
      If you are, you shouldn’t be having any issues. I have the Azio drivers on my Focusrite and nothing ever cuts out on it and I do 16 tracks in and 16 tracks out so I can record 16 tracks live if I want with cubase.

    Mine doesn't have control panel or any of those other options below that I still have a scroll down box that will say how many cores do I want to use and whether they're HT or not...
    And even when I try to connect my behringer um2 through the audio interface I don't get any additional options or anything like that for it

    • @Cap10NRGMusic
      @Cap10NRGMusic  Рік тому +1

      I’m gonna assume you installed the driver for your sound interface. That would be what provided the control panel if there was one. If there’s not one, you should be able to go to preferences and then select the audio tab and on that screen, there should be a setting where you can change the cash amount. Try turning it up to 512 and see if that helps. I’m really not familiar with the behringer UM2 however.
