crimson is objectively better. ichor is op, crimson is easy to traverse, brain>scarf (average damage reduction is the same except the brain gives the player buffs) and now you can get band of starpower in crimson worlds so corruption has nothing going for it

So far, I defeated King Slime, Eye of Cthulhu, Brain of Cthulhu, and Eater of Worlds without dying, without cheesing, in just 7 hours. It really didn't help that the only summon pre-boss was usually a 1/7000, a 1/70 from Pinky. The good ol' Slime Staff. I just didn't have the energy to even complete my 1.3 run of summoner, I quit after Plantera due to it being 50% grinding for a rare summon, 40% dying due to low damage and low survivability, and 10% everything else. Everyone is entitled to enjoy what they like, I'm glad you had fun with the old summoner. For me, however I just couldn't be asked to deal with it. I finally gave summoner a round two in 1.4 with more weapon options, more accessories, but most importantly, whips. Whips gave me the chance to get balls deep in the action which is why summoner is so appealing to me now. I have always loved glass cannons in video games, if I can play one I'm likely to go as a glass cannon or a healer, the summoner class used to be just glass with paper bones so I just didn't have fun. My first 1.4 summoner run was some of the most fun I've had playing this game ever. Off topic but 1.4 is a goated ass update, it came at the perfect time for me too, while I was burnt out of 1.3 they dropped this banger

When it comes to playing Summoner, you have to be very crafty, and it's really annoying when you try it at first. 'fortheworthy' Legendary Mode is far easier than 'getfixedboi' Legendary Mode, yet my 'fortheworthy' run, which I did first, took 37 hours longer than 'getfixedboi'. I had to adapt to the brutal force enemies had, and eventually the difficulty became natural to me. I was basically at the top of the food chain, so 'getfixedboi' took less time because I was more wary of... everything. For mobility, I used the Golf Cart, Lilith's Necklace, Cursed Tree, and Santank mounts, in conjunction with a Bundle of Horseshoe Balloons. That one accessory will get you through the entire game with an appropriate ground based mount, and it makes dodging attacks 80% easier. If you have that, you won't need wings... Ever. You won't need running Boots... Ever. It makes playing Summoner less like Cat and Mouse (you are the mouse), and more like taking an AC130 Gunship to a Ground War. My Cat and Mouse Analogy is inaccurate, because cats like to slowly torture the mouse until it stops moving. Then the cat eats it. I had to listen to one of my cats bring a mouse in the f---- house and eat it, and it was about as unusual as it was disgusting. Legendary Mode enemies just kill you in 2 hits. It's less painful.

I think Re-Logic has a better mindset than Mojang come to think of it. Where Mojang fails to break realism and add some, Re-Logic doesn’t have to be realistic because they are aware of making a game where Mojang fails to make their game as good as it used to be. We’ve all been aware of sharks and they can add sharks now. They could have sharks attack you if you if you attack them, and sharks could attack Dolphins, fish, turtles, squids, and even the Drowned. And if somehow trained, you can have an Evil Lair, or even a sewer, you can have sharks trained to attack players without you doing it.

I just didn't have the energy to even complete my 1.3 run of summoner, I quit after Plantera due to it being 50% grinding for a rare summon, 40% dying due to low damage and low survivability, and 10% everything else. Everyone is entitled to enjoy what they like, I'm glad you had fun with the old summoner. For me, however I just couldn't be asked to deal with it. I finally gave summoner a round two in 1.4 with more weapon options, more accessories, but most importantly, whips. Whips gave me the chance to get balls deep in the action which is why summoner is so appealing to me now. I have always loved glass cannons in video games, if I can play one I'm likely to go as a glass cannon or a healer, the summoner class used to be just glass with paper bones so I just didn't have fun. My first 1.4 summoner run was some of the most fun I've had playing this game ever.

@@DrUnfunny Back in 1.2, the time to play Summoner was Post-Plantera, anything beforehand got really difficult. I used other weapons with my Minions.
When it comes to playing Summoner, you have to be very crafty, and it's really annoying when you try it at first. 'fortheworthy' Legendary Mode is far easier than 'getfixedboi' Legendary Mode, yet my 'fortheworthy' run, which I did first, took 37 hours longer than 'getfixedboi'. I had to adapt to the brutal force enemies had, and eventually the difficulty became natural to me. I was basically at the top of the food chain, so 'getfixedboi' took less time because I was more wary of... everything.
For mobility, I used the Golf Cart, Lilith's Necklace, Cursed Tree, and Santank mounts, in conjunction with a Bundle of Horseshoe Balloons. That one accessory will get you through the entire game with an appropriate ground based mount, and it makes dodging attacks 80% easier. If you have that, you won't need wings... Ever. You won't need running Boots... Ever. It makes playing Summoner less like Cat and Mouse (you are the mouse), and more like taking an AC130 Gunship to a Ground War.
My Cat and Mouse Analogy is inaccurate, because cats like to slowly torture the mouse until it stops moving. Then the cat eats it. I had to listen to one of my cats bring a mouse in the f---- house and eat it, and it was about as unusual as it was disgusting.
Legendary Mode enemies just kill you in 2 hits. It's less painful.

I don't know if it was changed recently, but when I started playing in around 1.3.5 or 1.4, you had to land the killing blow to get the achievements for bosses, and had to yourself kill all 4 pillars. IDK if its that way anymore or if its just everyone gets it. If everyone gets it, then it's players who haven't played since then

I think Re-Logic has a better mindset than Mojang come to think of it. Where Mojang fails to break realism and add some, Re-Logic doesn’t have to be realistic because they are aware of making a game where Mojang fails to make their game as good as it used to be. We’ve all been aware of sharks and they can add sharks now. They could have sharks attack you if you if you attack them, and sharks could attack Dolphins, fish, turtles, squids, and even the Drowned. And if somehow trained, you can have an Evil Lair, or even a sewer, you can have sharks trained to attack players without you doing it.
