i can not emphasize enough .. how your new set up shines ... with vibrant color... harmony .. add to that your always comprehensive walk through on product detail and it is another slam dunk.. cheers and thanks !
Being a DJ, I was toying with the idea of somehow getting hardware effects from my SPMK2 to a track in a DAW, but then having a couple of Pioneer DJ gear with the Beat FX (its hardware effects), I wondered if I could get those effects into plugin form. Seems that the RMX-1000 would be the way, but I found I could only get it as hardware, and even the software plugin apparently requires the hardware. It would be nice to get the hardware effects into tracks on a DAW, but I’ve not tried yet so not sure how easy that would be, as I would probably have to get the effect recorded within the audio. This video is giving me a little education; thanks for that.
Thanks for the vid. Very nice. Didn't know there was a new one out there. I've only recently had the chance to check out the SP-404SX and it was awesome. I am looking forward on how it'll do during livesets in comparison with the RMX-1000, which I actually am aiming for by mid next year. This one however (although not available (yet) here in the Netherlands), has a huge chance to take that spot in my DJ booth instead of the RMX-1000. Mainly because it's way smaller and it also looks a bit more durable. Thanks for the demo. I hope they will release and orange version, because hey, I'm Dutch :)
I was wondering why you bought the RMX-1000 when you had the 404. I originally put it down to GAS, good to hear some actual reasons.. :P Oh, do you think there's any chance that Roland will add some sort of quantised live looping to the 404? All it needs is to be able to sync recording with a pattern loop and it would be so much more useful for jamming.
Hey Liam, thanks for another great video, I always enjoy watching your content! Your audio is clipping at times I think. After wrestling myself with Shotcut for a video (trying to get into the UA-cam thing), I'm wondering what software you're using to edit your videos? Any pointers would be helpful because your videos are always the best. Thanks!
Rmx 1000 ➕ kaossilator might be O.T.Fly . Op-z visuals . I'm still trying to fit my piano fingers on that plus if you demo in slow motion I'll get it quickly mr. Super synth hero ☆¿?
MPC can multitrack, export stems, can master song completely in the box versus 404 which has a great lo-fi factor, awesome FX, and fun to play. Tough call.

It’s my pleasure thank you for watching!
Great video as always, I would love to watch a video of your shooting and recording setup. Cheers
I might do a studio set up video at some point!
Great seeing the bright yellow sp404mk2 😊
It shines so bright ✨
Totally dig your
A.D.D. friendly vibe
Lol!
Hopefully not TOO ADD
Vyvanse + op-1 = bliss 😂
Can SP-404 be used solely as an fx unit for external audio pass-through?
Absolutely!
Great video 👍. If I spot the Pioneer for cheap, I'm not going to think twice. Can't quite justify it otherwise unfortunately. Same with the 404.
Yeah gear ain’t cheap that’s for sure

You mean ableton? 😂
I have no idea what they’ll be adding next!
What cables are those?
MyVolts all the way !
Look like the RXM does the same as an MPC Live effect-wise... also has the same price :D
Not quite the same

Yeah I bounce pretty hot on the verge of clipping sometimes
I use DaVinci resolve!
@@LiamKillen Wait a minute - that's free?! Amazing, thanks for the tip! Shotcut goes straight to the trash can then. :D Have a great weekend!
Dope Video bro! #BeatbuilderTV #TeamSP404 🎰
Thanks! 🍻
You like the mark 2 as a sampler more than the Akai live 2 in the background?
I like them for different reasons! I actually did a comparison- here it is: ua-cam.com/video/w7N_EX37qds/v-deo.html
great video as always!
Appreciate you!!
Have you tried using the RMX with the Polyend play and if so how do they sound together.
I have! The RMX sounds great on pretty much everything
Good review
Appreciate you - thanks :-)
Is a vinyl sim a good way to emulate side chain compression? There is no true side chain compression on the SP?
It’s a great emulation! There is no true side chain on the 404 mk2
No one has done a DJS-1000 vs SP-404 comparison vid.
Maybe you could be the first? 😉
I don’t know about the DJS 100 ! I’ll check it out
@@LiamKillen edited a typo
Is that a yellow skin or face plate
Yellow skin- style flip!
Why is the pioneer soooo expensive😮,if I wanted an fx unit I would buy a 404 which would give me so much more for 250 quid cheaper than a pioneer
Yeah I get this sentiment- at the same time they're just very different units.

This is hard to follow lol
Liam if you could only choose one which would it be MPC Live 2 or the 404 MK2?
I just bought both but one of them has to go back. Not sure which one to keep.

I actually did a video comparison between the MPC One and 404 mk2!
Here it is 😊 ua-cam.com/video/w7N_EX37qds/v-deo.html
I find they’re so different
Get em both 😏
I bought modal:Cycles and op-z cause I thought he'd dig it but I am doin my 60 year young (peter pan) best to slow my alzheimers.
It’s cool that you keep learnin’
