For the price of the clippers you’d figure the guards would be premium. For a new barber the introduction to that brand comes off as cheap and poorly made.🤷🏻♂️
i started cutting my hair since covid. I bought these in 2020, i find that my hair looks streaky no matter how many times i make pass throughs. i like the clippers but these guards are trash. Was actually looking at the JRL Onyx but i may try getting these premium guards first.
So also the premium guards have more teeth which allows it to feed more hair into it for a cleaner cut
I use my wahl guards on mine pro they give alil closer cut especially with the .5 or 1 guards

I use my wahl premium guards with my babyliss clippers
I was using those too, but I did find some of them fall of easier. I’d still recommend getting the BaByliss ones
I like the stock 11/2 and the white wahl 11/2 guard

I haven’t really tried other ones on these. Maybe a Wahl clip when I was in a jam, but I always worry about a clip popping off mid cut because it doesn’t fully fit correctly

That shouldn’t be a problem you never should press the guides that hard on a client’s head, just slight pressure or the pressure of the clippers is enough.

I don’t like the way the hair sticks on the blades when you use the premium guards. I have to clean it out with every stroke!!

I have the same issue. The build quality od these ste very good. Same with materials used. But I would prefer bigger gaps between the teeths of guards. Kinda the same gap as these non premium has.
Have you used the premium guard? Does the guards get clogged up.? Especially when you do bulk with it
I haven’t had that happen, but after I’m cutting serious bulk I’ll just dump the hair off off by turning the clipper to the side and flinging it off
