    10:55 Actually, here in the province of Laguna, Philippines, we put onion and ginger in our bulalo and simmer it until tender.
    And then we eat it with fried garlic and some chives. If you put ginger, you can omit the lemon grass because they have similar flavor or vice versa. You can also put both of them. It depends on your liking.

    you have to put patis for the broth or a little soy sauce, and put green onions or leeks and green beans, dont shredded the cabbage just cut it big chunks and put boullion beef cubes for taste

    The cabbage for Bulalo cut bigger chunks. 9:26 yeah your mom is correct. We add green bean(the string beans) in the Philippines. Here in Kuwait 🇰🇼 if we can’t find string beans, we add the short kind green beans, green lettuce 🥬 and chayote.

    the trick for more umami in bulalo broth is to boil the bones first in long hours at least 12 hrs for very very low fire. much better if more hours. cook the meat in the end. much better to add salt or patis in the end since bones contain sodium already.
    its fine to use corn and cabbage. but the complete veg is you add potatoes and green beans.

    You can also cook chicken tinola even without papaya (replace with other green veggies). Important is add a little bit more ginger & onion. Sauté ginger (cut into thin strips), onion, garlic, add chicken & mix until little brown (not fry) then water followed w/ the rest of the ingredients. Sautéing spices w/ chicken will give nice aroma & better flavor to your tinola.

    Wow your bulalo looks yummy... Every time I Cook bulalo or tinola even nilaga I use patis not salt because patis gives more taste and aroma... Just continue blogging and make videos about your life in Russia we will be watching it without skipping the ads somehow it helps you to earn... We are waiting for your grand comeback in the Philippines!     You can put potatoes, green beans , cabbage and leeks or spring onions to add more aroma. Put the regular onions while you are boiling the meet and beef stock too.

    the secret of Bulalo cooking and to maximize taste is to cook and boil it slowly until meat is tender probably 3-4 hours, essential ingredients is ginger, black paper whole not powder, lemon grass, spring onions, paprika, onions cabbage,not crushed but probably slices in big chunks, corn and potato

      Yes need to remove some of the bubbles when you boil it . others they do is first boil you throw the first boiling water then wash the meat and boil it again thats it

    we dont cut cabbage in small pieces you can also add potatoe or sweet potatoe, for a tasty soup put a little bit ginger and onion stalk optional no salt just add beef cube

    the bones make it tastier. we actually let it boil for a few minutes then discard the whole soup and wash the boiled meat/bones. then we boil it again. we put salt in the later part as it will not help in tenderizing the meat. add lemongrass, or ginger, paprika, corn would be fine, onion, black pepper and some greens. of course, patis will make it yummier. if you don't have lemongrass or ginger, you can use leeks

    1.defrost the meat until
    soft and not icy
    2.wash each slice of
    the meat until the
    blood is washed out
    3.boil water in a
    casserole
    4.when water is
    boiled put
    the washed meat
    (it is because if you
    don't boil water first
    and just put the meat
    and water together
    the soup will become
    dark and cloudy).
    Remove the scum
    5.Put sliced ginger'
    (to remove the bad
    taste of the blood
    and meat)
    onion, garlic, pcs.of
    whole pepper,
    Patis(fish sauce) or
    sóy sauce if patis is
    not available.
    Add salt,beef cube
    if available
    Maggi Magic Sarap
    (Optional) for better
    taste about 1/2 teaspoon
    Boil the meat for 2 or more hours until meat is tender.
    7.when the meàt is
    cooked and soft put
    sliced corn ,carróts,
    potatos,
    When everything is cooked put cabbage and remove from heat. No nèed to follow exactly my cooking direction.
    You can add or minus the ingredients.

    Don't put too much salt ,patis or soy sauce on your dish becauce it is salty and bad for the health.

    You add ginger, onions, garlic. Even without putting flavor cubes. Also, add a spoon of vinegar.

    Beef soup or bulalo tastes better if you also use beef cubes. You can find it in your supermarket too.

    You can put some potatoes on bolalo
    It's mouth watering with rice on cold weather season. Bolalong Batangas is a signature dish here in Philippines masarap 🤤😍

    To cook better bulalo soup to boiled the bones and meat with ginger and lemon grass first until soft. Then, remove the bone when the meat is cooked and put to another container. Drain the soup into it with a drainer to catch impurity such blood and bones dust. Put the onion chop cabbage. Chop corn, 2 cubes beef broth and fish sauce. You don't need to put the lemon grass and ginger with the new broth. Just simmer it until vegetables are cooked.

    To make meat soup you have to parboil the meat at wash with tap water first. When you boil the meat directly the soup water looks cloudy or dirty it doesn't look nice. Parboilnthe meat is to get rid some bloods and gumminies from the meat. Cut vegetables big into the soup cut half 1 leaf. You can put potato also just cut half.

    Hi ma'am val.. it's nice you cook bulalo even you are not here in the Philippines.. but next time you cook bulalo through away the first boil because that's dirty look your bulalo soup is a little bit dark.. it should be clear soup ma'am val..

    Valentina, in bulalo recipe the veggies are not slice too small so that it will not easy to over cooked. but its up to you then.

    You can wash the meat with salted water. Make sue to always remove floating meat impurities when you are boiling meat and bones together. Those floating impurities are what make the taste bad. The meat and vegetables should be cut in big chunks too.

    You cooked a good bulalo Valentina, yes it is better if you add potatoes. Bulalo veggies are cut into chunks put it near the end of cooking so green veggies will not overcooked (just half-cook). You do not need to throw away the 1st boil of the beef broth (as other suggested) because this is home cooked meal not to serve in a restaurant. You do not want to throw away the good flavor & minerals that's already there, just remove the scum during cooking.

    Yes, you have to remove the scum or the dirty floating part from the beef, pork and chicken whenever there is. For proper pronunciation type scum pronunciation on your cell phone. Just in case it is a new word for you.
    Your children are good kids. They always like to help you.
    We don't add oyster sauce to bulalo. For pancit we do.
