I am so glad I found this Beautiful music again, it is A joy to listen the old songs, most churches Have began a new style That does not touch the Heart like the old songs It has been said you could Use the song book to preach a salvation message.
Onward Christian soldiers! Marching as to war, With the cross of Jesus Going on before. Christ, the royal Master, Leads against the foe; Forward into battle, See, His banners go! Onward, Christian soldiers! Marching as to war, With the cross of Jesus, Going on before. 2 At the name of Jesus Satan’s host doth flee; On then, Christian soldiers, On to victory! Hell’s foundations quiver At the shout of praise: Brothers, lift your voices, Loud your anthems raise! 3 Like a mighty army Moves the Church of God: Brothers, we are treading Where the saints have trod; We are not divided, All one Body we- One in faith and Spirit, One eternally. 4 Crowns and thrones may perish, Kingdoms rise and wane; But the Church of Jesus Constant will remain. Gates of hell can never ’Gainst the Church prevail; We have Christ’s own promise, Which can never fail. 5 Onward, then, ye people! Join our happy throng; Blend with ours your voices In the triumph song. Glory, laud and honor Unto Christ, the King; This through countless ages Men and angels sing.
Please pray for me and for anybody who sometimes involuntarily goes into spiritual freefall and/or who struggles with self-worth and self-belief like I do every day. Life and its seriousness oppresses me at times. But Jesus brings greater love, joy and peace amen! I am saved by Jesus but protect and shield me Lord each day. Amen!
Happy Thanksgiving Day this November 23, 2023 at 5:13AM. Yes, I'm up, and learning this new hymn with your video's help. Have a great day in the Lord with your family today!
Onward, Christian soldiers, marching as to war, With the word of Jesus going on before! Christ, the royal Master, leads against the foe; Forward into battle, see his banner go! Refrain: Onward, Christian soldiers, marching as to war, With the word of Jesus going on before! At the sign of triumph Satan's host doth flee; On, then, Christian soldiers, on to victory! Earth's foundations quiver at the shout of praise; Brothers, lift your voices, loud your anthems raise! (Refrain) Like a mighty army moves the church of God; Brothers, we are treading where the saints have trod; We are not divided; all one body we, One in hope and doctrine, one in charity. (Refrain) Crowns and thrones may perish, kingdoms rise and wane, But the church of Jesus constant will remain. Gates of hell can never ’gainst that church prevail; We have Christ’s own promise, and that cannot fail. (Refrain) Onward, then, ye people, join our happy throng, Blend with ours your voices in the triumph song; Glory, laud, and honor, unto Christ the King; This thro' countless ages men and angels sing. (Refrain)
I want to know why so many people have such a problem with the way this hymn was written. The second verse, or in this rendition the third, is was once sung thusly, “Like a mighty army, moves the church of God, brothers we are treading, where the saints have trod, we are not divided , all one body we, one in hope and doctrine, one in Trinity! I want to know why you felt you had to replace “Trinity” in the last line of this verse with “charity”.. What is your problem with the biblical doctrine of the Trinity? Can anyone answer this question? You are hardly unique. It’s not easy to hymns on You Tube sung the way they were written if a verse contains the word “Trinity”.. If you write a hymn that does not use the word ”Trinity”, fine, that’s no problem. But if you intentionally remove “Trinity” from a hymn that was written that way I get real curious. Got any answers, anyone? Love to hear from you.
I was unaware of this modification before reading your comment, but it seems to me it was warranted. Is the church really "one in Trinity"? No, the word "Trinity" is used in reference to God-not the church.

Amos 9:10
10 All the sinners of my people shall die by the sword, which say, The evil shall not overtake nor prevent us.
The first hymn I learned when I was a Royal Ranger in Puerto Rico It’s unscripted in my life
I am the first one to watch and like your video ,Daniel.
This should be the American Christian battle cry these days...
Would you please sing My Life, My Love I give to thee?
Christians should always claim Jesus as their royal master leading against the foe
(against the spiritual enemies) we need Jesus to be our master to lead our lives.

@@bendacosta3696 Hard for me to admit, but you have a very good point! OOO boy, that hurts!
@@richardhbocking1278 Yeah, I also prefer to sing hymns the way they were written. I feel your pain.
