What happens if Tesla coils are built into the table?

In this video, we will make an unusual table made of slabs of bog oak and epoxy, we will integrate a tesla coil into it. Nice table. You really skipped over the "Tesla Coil" part. I get the LED strips, which is fine. But the Tesla Coil thing is a complete mystery. It's evidently supposed to cause the glasses to glow? Tesla Coils are dangerous high frequency transformers that are not for amateurs. Please explain/show what you used. Thanks!
