Restoring an abandoned farmstead in the forest.
Our new story. This is a multi-year project where we will try to transform an old, abandoned forest farmhouse into a cozy, modern living space. We’ll start with a budget-friendly renovation of this house. Throughout the project, we plan to thoroughly test green technologies, a smart home system, and, most importantly, see if it’s possible to achieve this affordably and mostly by ourselves.
At the moment we have very little left to finish it. But the project is currently frozen because we are stuck with expensive items such as custom suspension, wheels and car registration. Please support our project!
We will appreciate every dollar.

This time, without a doubt, we have the most complex, expensive, painstaking, and smart table in the entire history of the channel. @@yourfavniko Creepiest is a word, right? I do molds. That was not cheap. This is not something I would attempt by myself. Those tools you have and the space to make it, alone is worth a fortune to me. I'm not a rustic type. I love clean, new modernized and revamped. This table is all that and more.

WOW!! One of a kind!!! That must have taken SO LONG to thread in each fiber through the tiny holes!!! I wouldn't think you could really even see the holes LOL - But you DID!! GREAT WORK!!! - What if you were to have a clear epoxy layer over the top of the table that is 1 to 2 inches thick, and you have some metallic see through and mirrored glitter of varying sizes mixed into the epoxy? Do you think this effect would look good?? I don't think the touch sensors would work through such epoxy tho... but making the epoxy too thin would not have enough reflection from the glitter, even if you added more glitter, but too much glitter would look bad..... - If I could make a table like this I would make some test pieces of wood, with the same fibers like you did, but each would be different combinations of thickness and glitter types and glitter amounts.... and maybe even other things besides glitter... like small cut up pieces or mirror window tint... or crushed up pieces of CD, VERY SMALL pieces ... or other things that play with light in strange ways..... - Do you guys do test pieces like this before making the final decisions of a project design? If you did, that would be a really exciting process to see... like the the whole process of how you come up with your ideas, because you guys have some of the most original and creative ideas!!!! - I would be SO HAPPY to have this table in my living room! -oh one more thing... do you control the lights with an Arduino or ESP32 or some other controller?? Or did you just somehow connect the motions/touch/field sensors directly to the LEDs?? I am confused about this :)

  • @Nobe_Oddy

What an AMAZING TRIBUTE to the ORIGINAL motorcycles that started it all! I am THROUGHLY IMPRESSED!!! WOW!! - I just don't have4 the word to express how blown away I am!!! I REALLY love that you kept the epoxy frosted, so that you're not focused on the parts inside but your attention stays on the carved bike on top. But you can still look through the epoxy and recognize all the pieces. And I really like the colors of stain you chose (I think it's stain, and a paint, right? ... I don't know much about woodworking coatings) it reminds me of an old leather wallet... worn out from years of being in the back pocket while riding an Indian... I can almost smell the leather :) And the laser burned patent drawings are amazing! When it was being burned I thought the wood was actually a panel of MDF or particle board, so I was thinking it was just going to be a template or tool for some other step... but when the stain was sprayed on the grains suddenly appeared like magic! It was a real surprise for me! And the cabinet drawers.. they are TOP NOTCH!! That is EXCACTLY the type of drawers I would want in my desk, for sure!!! they pop out with just a touch, and the soft close is just such a new, modern, 'high tech' touch on a desk that celebrates the old.... and the drawer faces all being from the same piece is beautiful! Finally the incorporated electronic features are cherry on top! Touch activated lights make for such a clean build, no switched or plugs to get in the way of the smooth squared form. But that plasma mug was just AMAZING!!! You'd never know it was there!!! (is it turned on but a touch/field switch too?? that would be a great was to surprise your guest! lol) That just brings the desk into the 21st century! - You guys did a PHENOMINAL JOB!!! I am SO LUCKY to have discovered your channel! The way you film and edit your videos is top notch and goes perfectly with your projects! I will make sure to share your work in hopes of getting you more subs because you guys TOTALLY DESERVE TO BE SEEN!!!!
