- The black walnut burl came from a local excavating company. at the time of recording this, my shop was so hot that my phone would stop recording. no worries, you only missed a little sanding..

Look up Sprague woodturning. In some of his woodturnings he shows you how to get 2 or 3 bowls from the one resin and wood block. More bowls more money for OUR. He is a good teacher.

It's black walnut wood! And the coloring all happens by chance!! I got lucky enough to expose the beauty!
