This fabulous renovated detached 15th Century stone house in rolling countryside, just outside the village of Lizant in the Vienne department of France, sits back from a quiet lane behind a stone wall and the original gateway, with a gravelled courtyard and Magnolia. The house and holiday gite have exposed stone walls, revealing the beautiful light-coloured stone of this particular area - the same local stone was transported for the building of the 12th Century church in Civray.

Lovely house. The desk in the front with the computer was a little weird. Makes it look like you are walking into a hotel or restaurant. Otherwise, it’s quite charming

Yeah right 😅 I saw that The desk with the computer and I thought well. Maybe they're using this for a bed and breakfast type thing but then when you look at the bedrooms it actually looks like just a family home. So yeah that was a little strange but this is a gorgeous property and home but I wish somebody would let us know What they're using that desk and computer for😂 😃

Hi Kathi and Keith, I think I’d better solve ‘the desk mystery’ 😂 the owners were doing holiday rentals with the separate unit (that appears briefly as the very last of the interior shots), so the desk was there for that. As you face the front of the house, the holiday rental unit is on your right (with the wisteria on it),
