Passive solar under ground is the way to build. His house will still be there for his great great great grand kids. I wish I would have built like that instead of 2x4 stick built.

Beautiful home.
It is weird how people think building underground, dome, earthship or some other alternate style home--is weird! The structural benefits, financial savings in maintenance and the pleasant looking appeal are highly valid rationals.

Thank you for making this video my family and I are about 100% sure we are going to pursue this type of shelter. Anything that you can give us as far as things to avoid would be great any things that go terrific that you would advise to hang onto if you can let us know about that. l'm in The Florida Native Plant Society. Please take the time to learn how important native plants are to your particular area/ecosystem. Home owners can plant oases for native insects, pollinators, birds etc. cuz every other entity dumps chemicals all over their property trying to eradicate them.
