I think the reason the audio is so funky is because we’re hearing the house mix ie what is coming out of the mains at the venue. Sounds good at the venue but not mixed for home listening.
I think, Its mixing for stage monitors, i changed L to R channel for this video

For anyone complaining about the vocals. I implore you to watch every other A38 performance video. They all have atrocious vocal mixes. These types of channels should really pay attention to their own content enough to fix that shit. Otherwise you make every band on here sound bad, and that’s not the goal.
I live in Budapest, been to concerts at A38, and it always sounds good live. I think it's just the recording that sucks major dick.

It's funny to see how much Kerry has changed - or even evolved - over the years. He used to be this pudgy, nerdy and introvert kid and now he's up there, looking great and just having a blast! I saw them play a few months ago, and he was just a whirlwind, running around, headbanging and sweating like a big - it was great to see!

@@metal_monocle7334 idk he's always kinda sorta changed his style over the years, and definitely doesn't always perform it live the way he does on the albums. I don't think that's a "he can't do it live" choice either, I think it's just a weird artistic choice he makes. Bc these vocals mimic the Black Brick style a lot more than the prior full lengths

George talking about the crowd giving him energy. Last time I saw them touring w baroness the crowd was total shit and he was still giving it his all. Atleast for the AZ show I could tell they were there for Baroness and not deafheaven

eric downing last time I saw them at Crescent it was fucking insane. One of the funnest shows I’ve been to in a long time. Now that Ordinary Corrupt Human Love is out it should be an even better set list.
Saw them at the Danforth Music Hall with Baroness and it was amazing. All bands, really. They were mesmerizing.

@@chuva6488 I'd like to think that George (like many extreme metal vocalists) would've already sorted out their screaming techniques so that they can avoid damaging their vocal chords
It's 100% the mix, most screamed vocals sound pretty not great when they're not soaked in a mix or drenched in effects.
@@CriticsConfession knows. Nailed it. EVen sun vocals can sound really odd and out of place when not mixed properly. They should have sunk em down a bit, which would have just consisted of turning his vocal slider down lol. But it is still an amazing performance
@@Maggot91ify I do think it's both. His voice wasn't great that day or that leg of the tour (voice is a delicate part of our organism), and the mix fucked everything up

Deafheaven sounds nothing like this live. Something is really off with this mix.
The mix on this is dreadful. Makes George sound like shit. Saw them on this tour in Belgium and it is one of the best gigs I've ever been to
