- Join us as we visit Ocean Beach Pleasure Park in South Shields! In this vlog we share on ride POV's from all of the major rides at the park including the absolutely awesome Break Dance. Along with that we ride a soaker of a log flume, check out the brand new Ghost Train and much more. There's also on ride POV's from all 3 coasters at the park along with a fantastic variety of flat rides!

I think that Ice Matterhorn at Hoppings was the most aggressive flat of that type I've ever seen you guys ride on your channel Shawn. I hope Charlotte is completely recovered from that one! Nice job as usual ... It was a bit like that ghost train you were on in Austria, hard to beat!
I agree. I watched that part, a few times. To be honest, it was funny, at first. Then I realized, she’s really not enjoying this. When she says, “I don’t enjoy intense flat rides,” she means it! With that said, I would love to ride it!

A few years ago my and my cousin went on the ice and we thought it wouldn't be to bad its savage!! And people think freak out is bad

Great to see all the fairs back up and running after a few tough years. I agree with Charlotte....the log flume seats were a solid 4/10. 😆

It’s so funny Shawn when Charlotte screams after the big drop on a log flume that indicates you know she has to have gotten soaked such a funny reaction from her
I’ve gone here about 5 times as it is very close, log flumes was great😂 I always go on break dance and spring break each time I go and the ice one has got to be a favourite
Ocean beach now has a much larger and taller log flume ride now. Wild river which used to be at Tir Prince from 2015-2021, travelling funfair circuit between 2011-2014 and Clarence pier between 1998-2010.
Not surprised Charlotte didn’t ride the Matterhorn. Hope she’s ok after yesterday after passing out momentarily. Looks all good fun there nice little funfair. Three coaster credits available on family coasters. Enjoyed the Hoppings fair vlog.
perfect way to come back to after a 5 hour shift from work; watching some theme park worldwide!!!

In Germany there was a line at the breakdance. Even some competition to get onto a seat and jumping and falling on the still spinning plateau

I was there over the weekend. I did The Wave Swinger, Ice Jet, Bounce Nation, Pirate Ship and Break Dance. Bonce Nation has been updated for 2022.
My Local Park, it gets so full especially on a Friday night and Easter Holidays
The breakdance at this park used to operate in America, at Astroland - Coney Island, NY.

The ghost train ride system and a few of the props inside were formally at pleasure island in cleethorpes in shreiksville

The waveswinger is the old one from Toverland in the Netherlands. You can still see the mascottes of the park
Each time I'm there I love to check on and ride my favourite 70s scrambler.
Mixed emotions about the pleasure Island trains loved that park

I Super like your videos, your enthusiasm is contagious....with that being said....your POVs are what i look forward to, I need more POVs especially when you are so enthusiastic about a new coaster, or flat ride. i understand park limitations, but i will spread the word to make you able to ride and record. you're great, keep doing what you do.
It’s really disappointing, how many parks have banned it, since the start of this channel. When he goes to a park, that allows POV, it’s jarring! In a good way! 😂

Great park , first time for us all, I was shocked how busy it gets in the week. As much as I am a great fan of Nemesis at Alton Towers, I think Inferno edges it for me. Crash Test is not an older model, it is not from Zamperla or Reverchon. It is by Cedeal rides and fabricated in 2013. So I would say, not very old.
It is indeed however it feels much older than that with how it rides!

What a brilliant park that is, it's a 7 hr drive for us so will definitely be checking it's open and look to do as much as we can whilst in the area from sounds of it half price Friday evenings. Rides looked to be operating so well and looked in great order. Great Vlog from you both

Being around 20 minute's away from me, I visit ocean beach quite a lot and I think it needs to be recognized more. If they ever reboot Byker Grove they need to shoot here. I visited around a month ago and went on the Freak Out 8 times, in my opinion, best ride there.

Kind of interesting to see you be so happy about a Break Dance, where here in Germany these rides are all over each at least mid-sized funfairs all around the country. And watching that ride cycle you were on, it wasn't even a good one compared to those given here on the fairgrounds.
We need more Break Dance rides here in the UK. Love those rides, one of my faves!
Here in the UK it’s quite a big deal, however there’s some awesome ones abroad!
@@ThemeParkWorldwide I know! What I miss here are for example a Waltzer or classicTwister ride here. In the next 6 months I have like 6 or 7 funfairs in a 50km radius and each has a Break Dance...and you miss them ;-)

I think that pirate ship near the waltzer had been replaced since I went there, it was quite a few years ago now, I definitely remember it being surprisingly intense.
I found it funny when Charlotte didn’t like the look of the boat on the log flume at 1:42

Were having a fun fair in my local park and im definitely going to be checking it out
The old ruins you refer to is tynmouth priory. If you havent been you should go to Tynemouth its beautiful and has some great places to visit, you can do the Priory of course but its a tad expensive and they have a lovely aquarium and next door a rather large dino golf that squirts you with water and is pretty impressive. They also have a fun pirate maze too. Tynmouths beautiful loads of nice shops bar and cafes too.

Another good interesting vlog, always good and funny to see Charlotte get soaked on log flumes lol. Cheers for another good vlog, never visited this park or many parks, but do at some point plan to do so. Its all in the plans one day, good to hear this park are getting a new log flume as that one does look a bit run down. Do you know if new one has one climb and drop or if it has two climbs and drops? Because be good if they replace it with a better version with both a bigger small drop and big drop. More bigger the splash, more opportunity to get people soaked. Ghost train was ok, yeah had a lot of scary things in there, could maybe do with some actors in there? Dressed as zombies? Just a bit of feedback there for that, rest of it fine though. Might also be a small site, but could always take up idea of what Southend on Sea are doing with expanding developments and rides, attractions and coasters on roofs? Or build a building with multiple activities in? Bowling Alley with café, candy shop and coaster? But guess we will wait and see? Good vlog, yeah really enjoyed and can't wait for next. 😀👍

Loads of people count coaster credits, why does nobody count log flume & rapids credits? I think Charlotte should start the trend ;)
They don't have to be if you're counting log flume & rapids credits. They just have to be a log flume or rapids ride.

I'm saying rather than counting the number of rollercoasters you've been on, why does nobody count the number of water rides they've been on? Not as coasters, as water rides. Like counting the number of times that you go in a plane. Or counting the number of times you eat dinner at a specific restaurant. People do count other things besides coasters, so why not water rides?
@@danielledewitt1 There can be, why not? If you're a water ride enthusiast, why not count water ride credits? I mean, I can count chocolate bar credits if I want to :)
@@danielledewitt1 Coaster credits didn't exist until somebody started counting the number of coasters they went on, and named it coaster credits. So if I start counting the number of water rides I go on and name it water rides credits, bang - it exists. The word 'credit' isn't exclusive to only coasters!
Well this got out of hand quickly! I did think I made it clear that nobody does count this at the moment - maybe Charlotte could start as she loves water rides so much :D Anyhoo, always nice to see Charlotte on a water ride!!

My home town! Hope you enjoyed. The place usually gets the best rides on Good Friday. Like what they have done with the place. Qq we have gone on a last minute to salou.. little bit better for rides here than south shields! Do you know if the rides stay open until fiestaventura at 2315 when it starts tomorrow?
