    phenomenal orchestration, this would make a worthwhile score study.

    I can’t find the original thread in the orchestration forum where you posted it. My initial reaction without seeing the score in detail is that you handled the big moments pretty well, and might want to rethink using the violins for some of those more delicate right hand octave arpeggiated “tremolos”. You don’t have to be quite so literal to the piano notes, and might consider using the winds creatively to achieve the effect Beethoven is after there. Moments that are sad and delicate shouldn’t sound strained. If using strings at all there, perhaps experiment using them for color on the first note only, rather than trying to hit the whole octave. Similarly, on diminished arpeggios, consider less literal alternatives.
