About S.W.A.T.: Inspired by the television series and the feature film, S.W.A.T. stars Shemar Moore as a locally born and raised S.W.A.T. sergeant newly tasked to run a specialized tactical unit that is the last stop in law enforcement in Los Angeles. Torn between loyalty to where he was raised and allegiance to his brothers in blue, former Marine Daniel “Hondo” Harrelson has everything it takes to be an excellent leader and to bridge the divide between his two worlds. Hondo’s elite unit includes David “Deacon” Kay, an experienced S.W.A.T. officer who always puts the team first, despite feeling overlooked for the lead job; Christina “Chris” Alonso, a skilled officer and the team’s canine trainer; Dominique Luca, an expert driver who gets them in and out of high-risk situations; Victor Tan, who started in the LAPD Hollywood Division and uses his confidential informants in the community to help the team; and Jim Street, a cocky and promising new team member who is fired when his troubled family life leads him to compromise his role within the unit. Responsible for the management of all Metro Division S.W.A.T. units is Commander Robert Hicks, a senior LAPD official with the Special Operations Bureau. Overseeing Hondo’s team is Hicks’ direct report, Jessica Cortez, the ambitious captain of L.A. Metro whose professional aspirations force her to end an off-the-books relationship with Hondo. Hondo’s team enjoys an intense rivalry with another L.A.-based unit led by Jeff Mumford, an aggressive leader who likes to do things his way. With Hondo leading the charge, these dedicated men and women bravely put themselves at risk to protect their community and save lives. So this guy literally just confessed to attempting constructive dismissal in front of a witness. Which is illegal.
Of course it is, but this is why these things go on forever because no one in higher authority are held accountable for their misdeeds.
@@Ryooken but usually they don't outright confess to it. And he's done it a) in front of a witness, b) he's doing it to an officer that has reported other officers for inappropriate behavior and c) said officer is in a police force that has a union!
@@gwilym1991 I agree but that won't matter to a third party in a he said she said discussion. I work for a federal agency and what I have found it's the same everywhere. You have people who at the top do a lot of mistreating others and they get away with it because, even with admission there is no accountability. This is so common place they have a legal term for it called the "Cat's Paw" defense. I have seen cases where they cop to it, pun intended, in court and they still don't hold these folks accountable or if they do, they get rid of the guy they are using and find someone else to start the same crap all over again. It's a vicious cycle and it doesn't end.

Probably one of the most underrated and honestly, under appreciated shows in this current era. I know everything comes to an end but this show deserved its flowers.
It actually got renewed for another season. Season 8 22 episodes coming in the fall.

This happens in military units on a regular basis.
It happened to me, I trained good soldiers, and was a good leader, accomplished missions, great evaluations, but all the white guys I trained where given promotions to where we were the same rank, even though I was team leader. The brass didn't like my attitude, simply because I used expedient means in order to perform positively, instead of playing political ego driven games.

They're ruining their own show. They always show you exactly who the bad guy is/isn't at the very beginning...by their race. LOL. It's the same TV formula showing you multiple suspects at first and then later on it's the big reveal. Except for this show. When this show presents a suspect to you if they're not white then that suspect is totally innocent. They're reaching so much that when they showed a flash mob looting stores it was white people and then one white girl was arrested. It would be a much better show if not for being to able to always spot the bad guy(as well as all the innocents), after the first commercial break, with the sound off. LOL.
