I would love to see more videos on what you are doing to prepare to sell your home, both from the aspect of someone else will be living in your home and that you are moving.

Not sure it's video worthy. I may post about it in the 'Community' area here on UA-cam.

Love these IOT videos, will look into this project; if you could post more smart home videos it would be great

I'll see what I can do. When I sell this house, and buy a new one in my new town, it's a chance to reboot my home automation, networking, and other setups, so maybe I can get a few good videos out of doing it over.

Hey Brian....thanks for this one. I checked the ospi site and they no longer provide any enclosure but they do provide an instruction set for a 3d printer to make one.

Oh man, sorry for the mislead then. Glad they still provide a 3d printed option, but wouldn't help me with no 3D-printer....hmmmm guess I have one more reason I should look into getting one someday.

I run 2, because I have more than 8 zones no my system. If you only have 8 or less, you just need 1.

Hey off the subject but, do you run an MSP using opensource software….im a current sysadmin and i have some free time in my hands and thinking of forming a 2-3 man msp sorta

I wouldn't call what I do being an MSP. I do IT contract work for my Credit Union. I do use all open source for keeping track of wha tthey need, and for supporting them. I use MeshCentral and Rustdesk for the remote support. Zabbix for monitoring their systems, OpenWRT for their networking and VLANs, and Wireguard for VPN access so as not to open any ports on their network, which is behind double NAT. Looking to get a PiKVM setup on their server as that reboot and seeing output on an attached screen is the only reason I have to go down there most of the time.

@@AwesomeOpenSource thank you for replying and being so clear I’m at a time of my life where I need to find passion again being a sysadmin for 21years that’s all I know how to do and now that I’m a empty nester I need to find a way to stay active and watching you’re videos sparked that Idea….thanks again

I say go for it. One of my goals this year is to do a series on starting an MSP using Open Source solutions. I also forgot that I'm using Proxmox for their main server, snapshots and backups (they use Win 10 / 11 Pro VMs), OpenMediaVault for their Samba Shares and Shared Drives, and Portainer for their containerization control on docker.
